My kitchen sink had standing water in it on both sides. I had put Liquid Plumber in it. The house reeked of bleach! Might have used a bit too much. Oops! They came to our house pretty close to the time that the owner/wife said they would be here, which was good, but they did not call or text me like I had asked when they got here. Instead they knocked on the door, which in turn made the dogs bark while I was on a call. I had explained to the owner/wife that I work from home, on the phone, and I did not want anyone knocking on the door, because my dogs would bark. Mind you the owner/wife told me that wouldn't be a problem and they could do that. So I am still ok, A little aggravated that they made the dogs bark, but glad someone was going to fix my sink! Yeah!! They came in and started working on the sink by draining some of the nasty water out of the sink into a bucket and then walked outside. Now during this time, I was still on the phone helping this customer with their computer issue. The 2 workmen could hear me working, because my desk is around the corner from the kitchen. When the guy came back in my house I could see that the bucket was empty. I had just finished my call and hung up the phone. I asked him, "Where did your pour that water out?" His reply to me was, "In the grass." There was so much Liquid Plumber in it and it smelled just like bleach! I couldn't believe that he poured it in the grass! That water was toxic! So I said to him, "Well, I don't want you to pour it in my grass, you can pour it in the rocks." His response back to me was, "It will be ok, that's what I always do." I then replied, "No it is not ok, I don't want you to pour that in my grass, you can pour it in the rocks, that way it can kill the weeds and not my grass." Then he says, "Well do you still want me to work on your sink?" I was shocked! My response back to him, "Well, yes". Still in disbelief that he even asked me this question. He then says, "Well, I don't think I want to fix your sink!" I was astounded! My response was so quick, "Get out of my house then!" Now, I want you all to know, that this was one of the & Sons. There was condensation coming into the furnace control area from the venting that was installed improperly. It was dripping right on the circuit board which shut everything down. The outside unit would run for a while just fine, then start making a terrible noise. Again, I called and called, texted and texted with no response. According to him, I have 3 heating elements in my new furnace. 2 were wired into the thermostat,the third ran 24/7. No wonder my bills were over $400.00/ month . I've noticed Demicks Heating and A/C in Freeberg is no more. Thank goodness.
