Ray and Tony's Mechanic Garage: Shively's Best Kept Secret…read more If you're looking for an auto shop where experience meets dedication, let me introduce you to Ray and Tony's Mechanic Garage! These two guys are the real deal--experts at what they do and bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, so anyone who walks in can feel right at home. Whether you're coming in for a quick tune-up, a major repair, or just some routine maintenance, they'll treat your vehicle like it's their own. Here's the lowdown: Ray and Tony's is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM, and they're even open on Saturdays from 8 AM to 3:30 PM--which is perfect for those of us who can't make it during the week. If your budget's a little tight, no worries! You can even apply for credit to pay over time, making it easier to get those much-needed repairs without the stress. But what really sets these guys apart is their commitment. I personally saw Ray and Tony working on a Sunday, even though the shop was closed! Now that's dedication. They're not just putting in hours--they genuinely care about their customers and want to keep you safe on the road. Services Offered: 24-Hour Towing Service Engine and Transmission Repairs Brake and Suspension Work Routine Maintenance (like oil changes and tune-ups) And when it comes to parts, these guys are like the "Hammer"--one call and it's all taken care of. They've got reliable connections that save you both time and money, which is always a plus! One cool fact about Ray and Tony's: this garage has become a favorite among car enthusiasts and regular drivers alike because they believe in doing it right the first time. It's this kind of philosophy that keeps customers coming back, year after year, knowing their cars are in the best hands. Ray and Tony's is quickly becoming a neighborhood favorite, and for good reason! I've trusted them with my trusty '98 Ford, and while writing this review, I ran into another car issue. But I'm not worried--I know they'll get it sorted, and I'll be sure to update you all on how it goes. If you're tired of shops that don't care, and you want a place where mechanics work hard and genuinely care about getting you back on the road, head to Ray and Tony's. And trust me, you'll leave with peace of mind and a car that's road-ready. Now burn rubber, y'all!! and come see 'em. Mmm Mmm! And that's FoRilla!!

All I needed was the labor for the install to save some time, since I'm perfectly capable of doing the job myself. They refused to use my parts, even though they were OEM. The policy is apparently no customer-supplied parts, period. I understand not wanting to use customer parts for more complex repairs, but for a simple tune-up like spark plugs and coils, it really shouldn't have been a problem with genuine OEM Motorcraft parts. It felt like it was purely about marking up the parts themselves rather than any real concern. For something as basic and straightforward as plugs and coils, this rule is ridiculous and frustrating. Ended up doing it myself. If you're capable of handling a basic tune-up yourself and just want to pay for labor to save time, this isn't the place their inflexible policy will waste your time instead.

After checking reviews, I found Kavanaugh Complete Car Care, and I'm so glad I did! From the first call, Karen was incredibly kind and helpful -- she quickly sent a repair quote, scheduled our service, and even arranged for a rental car to pick us up directly from the shop. The pricing was fair, the work was done efficiently, and the customer service was exceptional. It's rare to find a shop that treats travelers with such honesty and care. I highly recommend Kavanaugh Complete Car Care to anyone needing reliable auto repair and genuine customer service!

Bear with me, because this is going to be quite a review…read more I had been going to Probilt for a few years, and had gotten good work done. I was happy I had found a decent auto repair shop. Then...it all came crashing down. I went in for a routine oil change over a year ago, and when I picked it up, they charged me and I paid and I figured that was that. The mechanic, (whom I'd not seen there before,) brought it out and asked me "Did they talk to you about the timing belt?" "No." I said. He then proceeded to tell me how the timing belt had "slipped a tooth already", and that it "can lead to engine damage." I said I'd look into it but he said it would be okay to drive. When I got in my car and started driving (it's a 5-speed 2012 Ford Fiesta,) I IMMEDIATELY heard grinding and there was little to no acceleration. Remember: it was FINE when I took it in, and I had just driven a long distance trip with no problems. I brought it in for a routine oil change. I stopped off and called them back and took it back in. The woman at the front desk remembered that she hadn't remembered to tell me about a potential issue. I dropped it off again and they continued to look at it. They called back a few DAYS later and told me that it had slipped and they don't fix that. I was livid. They said they weren't covering anything financially and that it was something they couldn't help with. These are people I had gotten used to seeing and had been on friendly terms with for at least a couple years. I went to get it towed back to my home. When I got there and spoke with the tow truck guy, he said he had been towing a lot from Probilt lately and they had apparently been under new ownership. That made perfect sense. The people on the phones seemed completely different than they had been and the new mechanic seemed more than subpar. It felt as if they were just churning through cars and didn't care about anything but the payments anymore. I will NEVER go back there, and I warn anyone else against this place. Hopefully, it shuts down soon, if it hasn't already. I notice most of the good reviews are from years and years ago.
