My car was damaged and needed repair I was referred by a neighbor and was pleased with the service and accommodations that I needed due to personal circumstances. He was very accommodating. I even add to take it back part of my window sealant had come down took it back and it was handled. He got my car back to looking like a new car and even touched up my door. I hope I will not need them again anytime soon but I will definitely recommend them if needed. Donny is a miracle worker with a time machine! My car is as good as new, thanks to Don Otts Auto Body! I had some minor front end damage and needed a wheel well cover replaced. At first, I mistakenly took my car to another shop (affiliated with a local Toyota dealership, use your imagination) for a quote. It was a battle just to get them to look at it because their online appointment system offered me a Saturday time that didn't exist and when I called, I had to call back multiple times until someone picked up in the shop. On top of that, I was obligated to wait a week before they would even look at it. Long story short, I was given a quote and left feeling unsatisfied, but I booked a date for repair and paid for the parts. During the time I was waiting for the date of my appointment to arrive with the Toyota dealership body shop, I had my oil changed at Smith Imported Car Service in Louisville. I told them about my issues, and they immediately referred me to Don Otts. Right there in the waiting room of Smith Imported, I called Don Otts and set a same-day appointment within less than an hour. Could not be easier! I brought my car over to the shop that day and had a quote, along with the bad news about my previous quote (a lot of after-market parts that were not for my make and model.) Without compromising on quality, the price Donny gave me was competitive along with a promise to use only Toyota parts. Donny had to go out of town for a week, otherwise I could have left my car at the shop for repair as soon as my parts came in. (Contrast with the Toyota dealership body shop where they said I would be lucky to have the work done by early November when I visited in September.) Here's the "happily ever after." Once the ordered parts came in and Donny gave me a call, I had my car back in just 2 days. It was looking beautiful and shiny again. I swear, these guys have a time machine. I'm in Louisville for a short getaway when my car suffered a hit-and-run while being parked at a paid parking lot assigned for my AirBnB. I have to drive 4hrs back to Knoxville and was concerned for my car. I called Don's shop to ask for an estimate and check, and was told that he could see me asap. Don was very accommodating and professional. He looked at the damage and told me the car should be fine for me to drive back. He also put my bumper back in its place and did not want any payment. All the little dents and scratches accumulated over the years needed to be addressed. Don's was recommended by my cousin for the superior work they did. My car was repainted; scratches and dents repaired. They even remove all the door handles when they paint, unlike other businesses, so, six months from now, when the summer sun starts wearing down on my car, it won't start peeling at the door handles. Don also does repairs for many of the city's police and other vehicles. That, alone, should be the best recommendation. I have had to go back a couple of times since I had the work done on my car, and Don insists that I come back to him for brush-ups at no charge. I am so pleased with Don Otts! I recently rear ended a suburban in my Toyota Venza and it was looking rough! We ended up taking my vehicle to Don Otts because they were the only ones without a 2 week wait to even look at my car! When we first arrived, I was a little nervous to leave my car there, but we were quickly reassured by Both big and little Don that my car would be in good hands. They were right. They took the time to make sure my car was done, and done correctly. My puppy had also had some sort of accident in my car when the fender bender occurred and my car smelled horrendous! Don Otts even cleaned my upholstery to get the smell out! My quote was pretty spot on and while the time frame was a little longer than we had originally planned, they always kept us posted.
