After a power outage, my electricity came back--except for one side of the kitchen that, of course, included my refrigerator. I'm pretty handy and have done my share of remodeling and light electrical work, so I thought I had this under control. I checked all the circuit breakers, and in the meantime kept my refrigerator running with a heavy-duty extension cord. I called a few electricians, and Hubert was the only one who actually picked up. Even though he already had a full schedule, he said he'd find a way to fit me in--and he did! When he and his partner arrived, they walked right into the kitchen, went straight to the first outlet, and... hit the reset buttons. That's when I realized--oh my gosh, that's all it was! I was totally embarrassed that they came all this way just to push a few buttons. Hubert was kind, professional, and understanding--and to top it off, he didn't even charge me for the visit. Excellent Communication & Flexibility - Highly Recommend! I called HD Electric today after my power unexpectedly went out. The electric company told me there was no outage in the area and that I should consult an electrician. I reached out to HD Electric and got a call back almost immediately. They were extremely flexible and accommodating--despite being busy, they were able to squeeze me in for a same-day appointment at 3 PM, which I really appreciated. As it turns out, the issue was a simple one (an electrical fuse that needed to be pushed back in), and thankfully a kind neighbor was able to help since I recently had abdominal surgery and couldn't do it myself. I called HD Electric to cancel the appointment, and they were incredibly understanding. Even though I didn't end up needing their services this time, their responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to help stood out. Scheduled for Hubert to come out to install a GFCI to restore power to a portion of our home. He quoted us a price and scheduled a time to drop by, but he didn't show. He kept trying to add additional work and price gouge us. We would have eventually had the additional work done if the simple job was completed, but unfortunately, the promises were not kept. I am not sure if things just got busy OR if the fact that we weren't ready to commit to a large electrical bill were factors, but it is bad business to not show up. In his defense however, he was very communicative and flexible before that. read more

As a follow up to my previous review: HD Electric came out this morning and, in just about a half an hour, installed my new light fixture and even replaced a part of my ceiling grid that had been cut by a previous installer. Hubert said he was a magician and by golly he was right! We live in almost 100 year old house and needed a fan to replace an old light fixture. I had 4 other people look at it and do nothing other than waste my time and in one case my money. He quickly provided a free estimate and was transparent about the work needed.
