I highly recommend Goldstream. Matt installed 12 ultra-thin LED wafer lights with dimmers in my basement for us and I couldn't be happier. Communication was excellent. After I contacted him and told him what I was looking for, we quickly worked out a plan using some pictures of my basement as well as a diagram of my proposed light layout. He had some good recommendations on how many switches to use due to my layout (2) as well as going with wafer LEDs due to some ceiling joists and duct work that may have gotten in the way. He showed up right on time, had all the tools, equipment, and parts that were needed, and was done about 7 hours later. Fantastic electrician - in fact I think I can easily say Matt is one of the best contractors we've ever worked with. He's upgraded our house to 200amp service and has also installed a Level 2 charger for an EV. So why 5-stars? 1) He's very good at what he does (have had GC's verify/comment on the quality of his work), 2) He's friendly and explains things in plain language that is easy to understand and make decisions from, 3) He shows up on time and is incredibly responsive, and 4) His pricing is reasonable. At his visit, he inspected the panel to confirm that it was adequately sized (200 amps), and measured the distance from the panel to where the new outlet would be located. He emailed me a fairly reasonable estimate with details of the work later that evening, and he responded quickly by text to a few questions I had about the work. I decided to select Matt based on other Yelp reviews and the confidence he displayed to me while communicating with him. On the morning of the installation, I cleared off the areas where he needed to work to save his time. He arrived as scheduled, proceeded to work diligently, and finished the work in 3 hours. Quick response and good service! I would recommend to others. He replaced my old electric panel with a new one and also replaced the wires.

Matt installed several 240v lines for baseboard and radiant floor heat, a bathroom ceiling vent fan where one did not previously exist and separated several lines that were being overloaded. We have a typical 50s home with plaster ceilings and walls and he was able to accomplish all this by either using the existing conduit or finding an opening to run new conduit, which meant we didn't have to break through the plaster and have to patch and repaint. In comparison to other electricians who provided us quotes, he was the most innovative in terms of how to get the job done and he was also very helpful with suggestions on good products and energy efficiency approaches. Would also echo other reviews about him being honest, hard-working and efficient. We'll hire him again for future work. read more
