The stylist was able to replicate the style from an image I showed her. I had the perfect wedding hair. However, I did have some trouble with the cut originally. I noticed a lot of split ends only days after my haircut and realized that the razor she had used had given me some really crazy split ends. Some of my hairs were split three inches up! After learning about my trouble with the haircut, she very kindly offered to help fix my split ends by giving me a bit of a trim and a hair treatment. I think my hair is in much better condition after this recent visit! I really appreciated that the stylist offered to help fix my hair because I felt like she was really taking pride in her work and that she really wanted me to be happy.

I spotted Locks Nest and walked out 30 minutes later not just with clean hair, but with a fabulous trim, and she fixed my layers (including a pretty big mistake my regular stylist made). Also, it's about $10 cheaper than other salons. Being that I have very little money, that was a big deal to me. So I went there and discovered why there's so few comments: it's average. I got a very average haircut that was nothing to write home about. In fact, I got a decidedly nineties haircut. I don't say this because I've been watching a lot of 90's sitcoms on netflix (though I have), but because I had this EXACT haircut when I was about 8 in 1995ish. Luckily, I have a straightening iron now, which I did not in the mid-nineties. There was nothing "wrong" with my visit here. I went to a pleasant shop, did not wait very long, and had a pleasant lady cut my hair. I got quite a few inches of my thick, curly hair chopped off and asked for it to be thinned (but not layered because that adds poof to my hair). I got cursory thinning, but only on the top layer and no where near what it needed. I basically cannot wear my hair naturally curly right now because it's still too thick and heavy. I got an average straight cut that does not work on curly hair. I realize that it can take several cuts for a stylist to understand a curly client's hair, but I have had much better first cuts.
