I had been to a place by my house in La Verne and my hair was so damaged that I could not brush it without tearing it out. I LOVE my hair and I feel amazing! I trust Genevieve completely. My haircut is in all honesty 0 stars but giving them 2 stars because everyone was very nice. Have bad two professional stylists that have worked on my hair since my hair cut ask what happened. I had to go in myself and fix a lot and have some very short random pieces that will take quite a while to grow out. Can really do much about that except wait so I can get another haircut. read more

Shant and Jozef are both great at what they do........ when you say" You get what you pay for" it is exactly said for this location. love my cut, and my color... (they make sure you're happy when they're done). so if you don't tell them how you fell, that's your problem.. they will work with you until you're satisfied. Well if that's what you're expecting and what you're used to don't come here because they actually listen to what it is you want! I've never had a better hair makeover experience in my life!!! I'd like to go back to all the shitty salons and stylist that robbed me of my hard earned money and take it and invest it into this salon! That's how great of an experience I had. I was with Amanda and she is a true god sent. I'm so thankful to have found this location. Her balayage is the best I've ever had. She is very detailed and takes the time to really sit and explain what your hair has what it can take and what you're going to get out of your experience. I normally don't do anything too crazy with my hair but I needed a change. I went to the Beauty Bar and had Holli cut and color my hair and it turned out AMAZING. She gave me a brand new gorgeous, sexy, and fresh new cut and my color she blended together has gotten me a lot of compliments lately. I will be going back to Holli no questions asked. I've been seeing Niki for cut and color for over a year now. Since she has earned my trust I thought I'd have her throw some lighter tones in as I'd grown bored of what I'd had. When she told me she had to bleach my hair PTSD set in. The reason I came to her in the first place was because another stylist turned my hair orange, with burn orange, and brown, and yellow, and Ronald McDonald red, and copper, trying to do a honey blonde. I was like yeah right. Well, holy sh-t was I surprised! She nailed my exact color on the first try and with minimal damage to my hair. Even when I pop in for minor cut changes she nails it. I recently purchased an Amazon Local deal and was completely pleased with my experience. Beauty Bar is in a great location of Sherman Oaks with parking in the back, which made it very convenient. The overall ambiance of the salon when I walked in early Saturday morning was mellow and calming with a great mix of music to soothe my slightly hung-over self. When I came in, I was immediately greeted by the owner of the salon, Niki, who started working on my hair right away. Niki is very easy-going so she kept the conversation going and even brought me some water as I sat down. As she was deep conditioning my hair, she gave me a little description of the organic product she used that smelled so nice and left my hair incredibly soft. Loved it. I had only requested a fairly simple haircut, but she did a great job with it and added some nice long layers. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with good end results. I love this salon! Johnny is my hairdresser, and I refuse to go to anyone else. The first time I went to him was the best experience I've had in a hairdresser's chair. I had long hair at the time and he gave me the most beautiful blonde highlights, much nicer looking and more professionally done than anywhere I had gone before. We kept my hair long and blonde for a long time, and it was great. Then I decided to go a little wild and asked for ombre. He did an awesome job with that and I rocked it for awhile. Then I decided I wanted to be blonde again, and he was able to get my hair back to a beautiful blonde even after the hair dye that was put in my hair for the ombre for a number of months. Then I decided to go a little wild again, and I asked him to give me a short bob. I LOVED IT and I've kept this cut for about a year now. I'm still blonde and the color looks amazing every time. He even added a little pink for fun (my request) last month. My point is that Johnny can do everything, and each time we do something new I absolutely love it. I do have to say he's the best at highlights, so if that's what you need, you definitely need to see Johnny. He's a master at toning it perfectly so it comes out so gorgeous. This review is not for my hair as I have not gotten my hair done yet, but this review is on just the customer service alone at headbetter. My bridal shower is coming up and a hairstylist (that I'd been on the wait list for) canceled on me for my appointment, so I immediately started freaking out as you can imagine. I messaged headbetter and with in an hour I already had a response from the owner himself. He said he would have someone contact me about a possible appointment on today, but he said it was very busy on Sundays. Within 20 minutes I had a phone call from I believe her name was Amanda Offering me a time slot at 4:30. While that seems a bit silly to write a review about, I feel nowadays customer service is not ever at this level of excellence. Thank you Head better for making a crazy bride feel a bit better. I have been going to HEADBETTER at least twice a month for a little over a year. This review is long over due. I've always gone to supercuts or some little barbershop since I was a kid , it's all I knew. AMANDA , educated me on what good hair feels like. Of course, my hair looks better than ever it says it right in the salons name HEADBETTER. The more important thing is that AMANDA helped me feel comfortable in my own skin with a great style that I get compliments on all the time. JOHNNY and NIKKI have a great thing goin at this salon. Im not really one to leave reviews and didnt even have yelp on my phone before this review..but because the service was so wonderful & my hair turned out great..i had my roots done, cut, & style w/Tianna..i highly recommend her, shes not only a great hair stylist, shes a really sweet girl..& we had a really great conversation so it was really a great experience overall and i would definitely go back for Tianna to do my hair again, and the rest of the stylists were just as polite and sweet..i did have a groupon and i wasnt asked for it the second i walked in..only at the very end..and i was not treated any differently because of it either.
