Personally, my wife and I are at the age that we don't use the park very often. However, when our grandkids were here this past weekend, they wanted to go to "that nice park" you took us to last time we were here (over a year ago). Millstone Creek Park offers a little of everything. Nice assortment of playground equipment; accessible; a variety of activities; sports fields; nature/wetlands area; picnic shelter and restrooms. Plenty of parking. My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a few more benches for the grandparents who bring their grandkids to the park.

This is a smallish municipal park with a player area, but what was really important to us is that…read moreit's an excellent place for a put-in for kayaking the Big Walnut Creek. Just north of here there is a low-head dam currently situated on the Creek. so we needed to avoid that structure, and selected this park as a starting point. there is a nice boat ramp, and although there have been quite a bit of rain the water level had receded overnight, so we had to walk the boats out to the center of the creek. After a little scooting around we were on our way. This is a great launching point, and it made for a great float of about 1-1/2 to 2 hours into downtown Gahanna. We needed one…read morethat was not busy (at least, not crowded with kids at the playground), that had some shade on the playground so she didn't burn her legs on the slides, and where Dada didn't have to walk far from the parking lot. We got all that here, and so much more. There is a fair-sized playground with several slides, climbing areas, swings, etc. And: an obstacle course with logs, tunnels, little houses to play in, and more. Wow. Plus it's a great park otherwise: shade, plus green space, a shelter with bathrooms, tables, a rain garden, places to fish by a big pond, paths, basketball courts and playing fields, and more. Beautifully laid out, full of fun, we will definitely be back.

On a fall day, we searched around for the playground, hidden behind the pool utility building. It's small, but nice, with lots of climbing stuff. And some bouncy rides Baby K loved. Nice if you are here, not worth going out of the way for. It's actually the Eagle's Nest Playground according to the sign, so sponsored by the restaurant I assume.

What a GREAT hidden gem, so close to the airport and the burbs of Columbus, but yet so far!! I think more downtowns should have a woodsy area to wander and "escape" a bit from the suburban "grind." Plenty of shops, restaurants, and even a brewery to check out, also apparently lots of fun festivals, but make sure you also wander the winding, wooded walkways, a WONDERFUL way to "get away from it all, right in your own backyard!!

Plus drums and other things to play with. Parking at either end, wish some were closer for old dad. We'll be back. Barely saw the rest of the park, but there is a big activity center and some playing fields.

This is a nice little park in New Albany sequestered between a neighborhood and a country club…read more They have a decent playground, a couple of air buildings for indoor sports, a nice bathroom facility, and a walking trail that appeared to connect to some other neighborhood trails. The park sign said it closed at dusk, which we didn't realize until we left after dark. It didn't occur to us to leave earlier because all the lights were still on in the shelter and bathroom area, and the bathrooms stayed unlocked! There weren't many other lights but we were just sitting in the shelter since no one else was there. There is a shelter that is reservable--we saw signs on it from previous reservations that weekend, but I'm not sure how much it is. There's little enough city light around that you can actually do some stargazing after dark. All in all this is a great park!
