We had walked into Classic Honda ready to buy; however, we weren't happy with the condition of the 'new' car we had gone to purchase. Don't recommend this dealer whatsoever. I came here to look at hybrids and was approached by Dean who was very kind and helpful to begin with. I test drove the car, and then left but corresponded with Dean via email as I was about to leave on a 7 day cruise. First of all (see pictures for reference) on March 7 he quoted me $27,271.77 as the out the door price. Yet a day later on March 8 (after I emailed him with a quote from a competing dealer) he quoted me $25,860.02 as the out the door. Funny how almost $2,000 went away in a day. I then asked if he would hold the car for me for 8 days, and when I returned I would come straight in and purchase the car paid in full. I was going on vacation but was 100% certain I would be purchasing the car when I got back. He refused to hold the car for me without a $5,000 deposit, yet the competing Honda offered to hold theirs for me with just an email agreement. Since he wouldn't hold it, my father drove up there while I was on vacation and gave Dean the full amount, so that the car would be held and I would go and sign the paperwork when I got back from my cruise. I went in after driving back from Ft Lauderdale at around 5pm, and was asked multiple times by another salesman "So what are you hoping to accomplish today?" Despite me telling him multiple times I was here to pick up the car that was already paid for in full and complete the paperwork. This was asked multiple times in a not-so-nice manner. I was then sat at that salesman's desk to wait for Dean who was with another client. After about 20 mins of waiting, I was taken back to complete the paperwork. And then Dean eventually came, and I sat waiting as he continued on with his other clients. He eventually stopped with the other clients to come and help me, and I left with the car after another 10 mins of searching for the second key which he couldn't find. He knew I had not had a good experience with him (Dean) and told me I would be sent a survey and that if he didn't get the top answer for every question that he would get in trouble so if there was an issue please email him directly to see if there was anyway he could make it up to me before taking that survey. Well, at that point there was nothing more he could do. I will only take my car back to this dealer to fix the things that have broken (pictures also) but I will be going elsewhere for regular maintenance. Well if you are looking for a good SALES experience, then might I suggest saving yourself the Drive all the way out here. My wife and I went looking for a car in serious mode today, and set an appointment, the sales person we spoke with was busy (understandably since we were a good hour early for our appointment) The sales rep that was selected to help us did not care. He was texting in the car during the test drive, and stopped many times while we were sitting at his desk to text. Obviously showing us we were not important to him. Then he came to us with a number for the car that was so offending, that I did not even offer to counter because he was not in his right mind to give us that number. (He wanted us to pay $25K for a $21K Car, of which I already had offers below that in the can) Now you ask why I might leave a review, well because the guy from "TrueCar:" told me before I buy at the Honda Dealership in my home town, He could meet or beat that price, of which I gave him over the phone., They did not even come close! Brought my car in because of transmission problems. Gave me a price of $415.00 which I thought was a little high but went for it. When I came to pick up the bill was $678.00. Yes that's right 678.00. I think I've gotten the prize for being screwed by a dealer. See if you can find anywhere where you get charged this amount. I checked a transmission place down the road. I drove 2 1/2 hours to purchase a used car here. The sales man Demetrius was outstanding! He was totally honest with me and upfront. He wasn't pushy and listens to my needs. The facility was very nice, spacious and clean. My only issues were that the car was a certified used Honda. The windshield wipers were warn, the XM antenna needed to be replaced, and the headlights had moisture in them. I had to drive back 2 1/2 hours a few days later to get everything fixed. I'm glad they fixed everything, but it was an inconvenience. I mentioned the issues to the the man creating the deal but he told my dealer that the checklist says that the windshield wipers were already changed. If he would have actually checked the car he would have noticed that they were old and warn. Laziness.... Also, they don't have military discount. I was shocked on this one. Over all it's a ok dealership, but would recommend they work on the certified vehicle aspect and give military discount. I usually come here to service my car and have had no trouble with them. HOWEVER, the lease on my car is up so I decided to see what kind of deals they had to be able to roll into my next lease. Worst decision I could make. I had an appointment set up with Hope and she made it sound like over the phone she would be helping me personally. She mentioned how they were behind on selling cars this month and it would be a great time to come in to get out of my lease early. I found out that she was just the secretary for a guy name RJ and I was then pushed onto another guy name Mike Jahangir. I told him the models I was interested in and the price point I was looking for and had a specific car in mind after searching their inventory the night before. Long story short, Mike was absolutely no help and was definitely setting me up to get ripped off. I am a young female in my twenties so I guess they thought they could take advantage of me, but I am very knowledgeable about cars and making deals for a lease. He wanted 3,000 down for me to get my same model as an LX version(the most basic one)! Also the monthly would have been way more than mine now. Bottom line is Mike and Jeff, the sales manager, are ABSOLUTELY NO HELP and are looking to dip into your pockets to profit their dealership. Not a customer driven dealership and definitely won't be going back - not even to service my car! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY IF YOU ARE SHOPPING FOR A CAR AND SKIP HQ HONDA. The Only reason I'm giving this business two stars is based on the super nice reception by two employees. The salesperson (let's call him Steve) was very professional over the phone, and sent me detailed pictures of the car I wanted to buy. On Saturday night I spoke with him at length about my interest and offered a deposit to ensure that it would not be sold to someone else. He declined, and said to be early on Sunday. My wife and I drove two hours to find that it was sold at "10:30". The hours stated on the website, show opening at 11am. He was very helpful, professional, and patient with me. I was up front and honest with what i needed and what I had to work with. He was Always looking out for what would work best for me and my financial situation. I couldn't afford or get financed for an odyssey. But i wasn't just turned away. The explanation as to why they couldn't do the repair was complete BS as they had fixed the same exact issues a few months back. Then when I said I was going to go to Toyota to buy a new car because I will never buy from Honda again due to this experience then he started back peddling saying maybe they could get an aftermarket part. so which one is it can the car be fixed or not?!!. My experience at Headquarter Honda was more than exemplary. I was first approached my on-going service advisor, Rita Beni. Rita has always helped me with my previous vehicle (which wasn't even a Honda, it was a Hyundai) but she has always gone above and beyond to ensure my vehicle maintenance was up to date and my car was safe for me to be in. As my little Hyundai Accent was getting old, I mentioned to her I was in the market to purchase a new vehicle. Efficient as ever, Rita passed this information on to a member of sales, John Shelling, who then contacted me. When I first spoke to John, he informed me of some specials going on with the vehicle I was interested in. When I arrived to HQ Honda, John introduced me to George Ibrahim, who is the salesman that helped me pick out my vehicle. After doing the pricing for my first choice - Honda HR-V EX - I realized it was too expensive and way out of my budget. I simply couldn't afford it. I was then approached by Paul Rienzi, Sales Manager, who offered me options since the initial pricing wasn't realistic for my current situation. Car buying is definitely a long, brutal task and I was just about ready to give up. Rita, George, John and Paul all offered different vehicles which would give me better pricing but it just wasn't the vehicle I wanted. While I was ready to make a final decision to leave things the way they are and take my Hyundai home, Paul approached me with figures for a Honda HR-V LX which has most of the feature of the EX, but everything the LX had to offer was exactly what I needed, if not, more. Paul basically presented an offer to me that I could not refuse. Rita, John, George and Paul all stayed with me for the entire FOUR hours while I made the decision to purchase my very first brand new vehicle. I'm very grateful for their kindness, generosity, and patience while I was demonstrating a complete lack thereof. They were all so incredibly helpful and I really couldn't have asked for a better group of people to help me through this. Once I said yes, everything was a breeze. Tony, in Finance, made the paperwork swift, clean and easy. Once all the paperwork was signed, I came out to find Rita, George and John helping me move all the necessary things from my Hyundai to my new car! Terrible customer service. I came in to have my diagnostic port checked because I was told that the port was not reading correctly from another mechanic. I was told I would have to wait three hours before anyone could plug-in for a diagnostic check. I asked about if I could set up an appointment to come back and was told that was not possible. How can that not be an option? As a Honda owner for over 10 years I highly suggest you stay far, far away from this place. I would never bring my car back to this dealership to have any work done as I've found they overcharge. My first 1 star. This won't be a long review as they've done a nice job of wasting my time already. My second time here, first was just as bad. I wait for an hour to have the mechanic tell me they can't figure it out...which is ridiculous because 1) it's the same issue as the last time I was here and I told them that when I walked through the door [couldn't care less about what i had to say] and 2) it took them an hour, and when I got here I said if there were any issue with the diagnosis to let me know because I had the vehicle here for the same thing a year ago. You know a place is a scam when there is no way to get a hold of them over the phone. I received a letter from Headquarter Honda (have no idea how they got my information) telling me that they are in desperate need of my Nissan Cube. The letter was postmarked in Santa Ana, CA (I used to live in California). So for kicks I tried to call them and every single one of their phone lines went to an automated system telling me that the extension I was trying to reach was not available. That would be every extension I tried, every number I tried. For the record, I haven't owned that Cube since July of 2014. These stupid tactics don't work on educated individuals who know a con when they see it. I will not do business with any company that pulls a stunt like this. Salespeople are the worst in general but this is over the top disgusting, especially for a reputable brand like Honda. Let me first say, I would rather have a root canal than buy a car. I hate the wheeling and dealing involved in trying to get a good deal. But with that said, I did have a good experience with Headquarter Honda. I have been buying Hondas since the late 80's and this was going to be my 6th Honda. I had just finished taking a trip up north for a few weeks and so discovered that my current Honda that I have had for 11 years and 160,000+ miles needed a lot of repair work. I did not want to invest in putting that much money into my old car and decided to trade it in for a new one. When I arrived, I walked around the lot a bit looking for a Fit but saw none on the lot. A sales person who was helping another customer said hello and said he would be with me in a few min. I was fine with that and continued to walk around. Soon another sales person approached me and wanted to know if I needed help, I told him that the other sales person was going to help me. After about 30 min, the first salesperson came back to me and said it was going to be longer than he thought so could another person help me... sure... and that second salesperson came back to help me. They all seem to be helping each other and I soon found out that they are all on teams so it did not matter who helped you... as long as you got help. I explained my needs to him and I soon discovered that there were no more 2012 Fits left to sell... just one 2013 that was in the showroom. It was nice but it was more than I wanted to spend. I soon discovered a used 2012 Civic on the lot and liked it enough to try a drive and have my car appraised for a trade in. They gave me just what I thought I would get for my old car so I was happy with that and they were able to help me finance the used car. All in all, I was in and out of Headquarter Honda in about 3 hours with something new to drive. All the staff I worked with was friendly and helpful. I did not feel pressured at all and they did the best they could to get me in a car I could afford even with crappy credit. I have owned 7 Honda's so I knew what it was worth but figured it was worth a shot. I made the long journey only to find out those letters are a scam to get you in. My car was in pristine condition and they low balled me and tried to get me in a 2016 Accord. The very inexperienced salesman brought back numbers that were much higher than what I wanted my payment to be. He said over and over this was the "first offer". I was not looking to play games. I told him that I needed to bring my husband who was out of town on business back later in the week before making a purchase. The sales guy then continued to call me several times a day for the next 3 days to confirm I would be back later in the week. I finally had to block his number. I was fed up and went to another Honda dealer to buy my 2016 Accord. No games, no hassle and I got exactly the deal We were looking for with the payments we could afford.
