My birth plan did not go as planned (as they always say happens). Heather was there to help us through these obstacles every step of the way. She doesn't push you to make any decisions, she educates you and informs you and prepares you to make the decisions that fit you best. I had complications post delivery and she comforted my husband and made the phone calls and held my baby during this emotional time while I was in the OR. She was so much more help than we could have even dreamed of. She is the full package. She even took our newborn photos when my daughter was two weeks old and we turned it into our Christmas card. We also took Heather's classes to prep us for L&D. She made us feel comfortable about everything. She even braided my hair when I was in labor, so sweet! We made her work over time! Poor Heather. Maija was very creative with our sessions and she was great at getting real and candid looking shots even though we are far from experienced in front of the camera. Maija really took the time to get to know us and she was great a listening and filing away small things that we would say. My wife and I put a lot of effort into doing a lot of the decorations in our wedding ourselves and Maija made sure to get really cool shots of the work that we did and she just picked that up from our conversations. I did a boudoir shoot as a birthday gift for my husband. He absolutely loved the prints and digital…read moreimages. I also had a lot of fun with the shoot. Erin and her make-up artist Lindsey are great and both are very talented. Erin went out of her way to meet with me, chat with me and went above and beyond to schedule me for a shoot and present my digital images to me so that everything could be completed on time. She was very respectful of my needs. One example: I am not a huge fan of the metallic look for prints, which is what she normally prints, and she said it would be no problem to print my images with a regular finish, but of the same high quality. (which, btw, her prints are fantastic, very high quality). I did quite a bit of research about Boudoir photographers in the area, and was given the names of a few other professional photographers who are not listed via a standard google search (photo shoot, models etc) and ultimately decided in Erin b/c: 1. Since I am not a model, I wanted someone who is used to working with people who are less comfortable in front of a camera. 2. I was able to get hair and make-up done on site and by someone who is used to doing hair and make-upfor photo shoots. 3. Once I narrowed it down to a photographer like Erin (someone who does a lot of private shoots: weddings, families, babies etc) I noticed that in all of her pics on her website, the clients looked extremely relaxed and comfortable. That was ultimately the deciding factor. I highly recommend Erin, and if you have a chance, visit her at her studio, she has some amazing images there to view as well.
