If you want to be able to print out your headshots, do NOT do business with Keren. Here was the agreement: A headshot session for 3 looks, with retouching ($350.) She emailed me the web version of my shots that I had selected (1.4MB) and I never even received the larger files for high res printing. So I email her and tell her that the file is too small and is not useable to be printed as an 8x10 headshot. She says she didn't know that I needed to print them (WHAT??? What else do you even do with headshots?) I start getting really upset and after twisting her arm (Did I mention that I paid her cash IN FULL, so it's not like I owe her money or anything...) she agrees to send me a larger file. She sends a 2.4 (still too small- they should be around 6MB) Also, she says that I'm lucky she even retouched them and that most photographers won't do that. Ummm, if you go to her website (http://www.kerenbenamiphotography.com/#!rates/ctya) she includes retouched images as part of her headshot package. I mean the whole idea of a headshot shoot is to be able to submit to roles, give PHYSICAL copies to your agent, and also to casting directors when you enter the room. Am I crazy??? THE KICKER: Then she offers to print them herself. She says she has never had this trouble before and that she can print them for me, at an additional cost. ON CANVAS I MIGHT ADD! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH THAT??? (See photos.) So now I'm out the money that I had saved up for this shoot and I don't even have one shoddy shot to use. My shoot was on April 9. It is now May 25 and I STILL don't have the high res version of my pictures. I asked her for a refund and she dragged out our conversation for 2 weeks, even dragging Argentum photo lab into the mix. She sent emails threatening to slander me in the industry. I am not even kidding. (See photos.) Lady, I just want my money back. BOTTOM LINE: I paid her for her service and cannot use the finished product. She does the "bait and switch" on her website- technically, it does NOT say that you will receive the high res version for printing, but in LA, that is what headshots are used for and it is implied that that would be included in any standard headshot package. Does she provide a great price and does she offer flexibility, yes ,she does. You have to wonder though, what are you, the bride and groom actually giving up for this bargain that is being offered. Honestly, you don't know until AFTER your wedding. You look at the contract and the agreed upon time line comes and goes and yet you are still waiting for the long awaited video and wedding pics, but have not heard from Daria. You finally do, and her response is, "I am busy with other weddings". Perhaps like me, you will think, " Well, I paid based on the timeline that Daria provided. Why can't she do provide the pics and video on the agreed upon timeline?" Then you receive the pics. Months after the agreed upon time line. - Beautiful? Yes. - Badly edited? Yes YOU have to crop out the TV in the background or crop out someone's foot. But, hey, wasn't that Daria's job? That's what you give up for her bargain price. Editing and how long you wait to actually get what you paid for. Also, if you want specific pics like parents, family, etc. make sure to tell her, as I had like 3 pics with mom. Honestly, I was not going to leave a review until just today, almost 1 1/2 years after my wedding. I referred Daria to someone. Due to COVID, her wedding was delayed. Apparently, Daria has now moved out of CA and is REFUSING to refund the deposit. Such bad business ethics! Daria lost NO work to having booked this wedding (other than COVID which EVERYONE has). Now she moves somewhere where she CANNOT do the work that she CONTRACTED for and has DECLINED to refund any money. It is one thing had the bride and groom not rescheduled the wedding & kept Daria as the photographer. It is another thing for Daria to move out of state, REFUSE to refund the money and NOT comply with her portion of the contract. BEWARE OF THIS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED PHOTOGRAPHER !!!!

Not only the stage is in great condition, affordable, and located in a nice area of Glendale. You can also rent flats to build sets, and some lights and grip. The owner (Carlos) is such a great person to work with too. He understands all aspects of production and will make sure you get the best deals for the projects you end up shooting there. I really recommend CML studios. I have shot at some other stages/studios, but definitely this place feels like home to me... and that my friends, is hard to find.

My suggestion to anyone wanting to rent this place is this: if you are looking for a place that treats their customers courteously, don't go here. I booked the studio "as is" for which they offer a lower price. I booked it for the white cyclorama. However, when I arrived the white cyclorama was not white. It was completely filthy and covered with tire tracks as if someone had done donuts on it. The picture below shows I'm not exaggerating. Here's the thing: I assumed "as is" means scuffs, marks, dirt, sure. I *assumed* this. Absolutely. There's a reason it's a lower price. It wouldn't be perfect. But completely gray as if it hadn't been painted in a year? That's not a white cyc. That's a gray cyc with literal tire tracks across it. A salesman who had any concern for the quality of their customers shoot would've said "hey guys, by the way, the bottom of the cyc is completely trashed from a previous shoot. You may want to pay to repaint it before you come it." And I WOULDVE. Because the shoot was expensive and spending a little more to make sure it didn't look like a construction zone wouldve been worth it. Carlos' suggestion was to have someone come and repaint it during our shoot time. It would've taken at least two hours to paint and dry. Even if we were credited another hour, I had already paid for a camera man, four dancers, and a make up artist for a block of time. The trashed cyclorama already took nearly two hours to figure out how to Light and avoid showing the entire gray bottom on camera. Adding more time was not an option. This could've all been avoided with a simple courtesy call to let us know their cyclorama was not just scuffed, but completely trashed and *no longer white.* We wanted to postpone the shoot but Carlos wouldn't refund the money. So we had to make do. The second red flag was the "soft light pre lit" option I paid for. Setting up four c stands on the outside of the cyc in no particular order, not caring at all how it was exposing the cyclorama is once again lazy and unconcerned for the quality of their customers experience. Finally, Carlos kept bringing people in to look at the space while we were in the middle of our project. We had girls changing in the make up room. There was never any asking if that was okay, he just continued to walk in with a few couples showing them the space while we worked. Extremely inappropriate. I have done dozens of shoots before. This place is not worth your time. Do yourself a favor and find a place that values their customers. This place doesn't.
