This is a business that nobody *wants* to do business with but since death is a part of life, it's necessary. When there was a big loss in my family this fall, my sisters and I worked with Bill Cutler, Sr. to make the needed arrangements. He was patient, kind, sympathetic, and explained all of our options. The family chooses the details but they make sure it happens from prayer cards, to the program, catering, etc. We had our luncheon following the service there on the property so no one had to leave to drive somewhere else. A nice feature is that memorial services are broadcast livestream so family overseas were able to witness the service in real time. The link is live for 30 days. What I didn't know beforehand is that they offer grief support groups regularly with licensed professionals. It's a safe place to talk about your loved one and grief in an accepted place where other people get it. read more

Very much appreciate the services provided by Heafey Hoffmann Dworak and Cutler. Most recently we worked with Bill Cutler primarily, but anyone we interacted with was great. Prices are very competitive (who knew (and who can shop at a time like this) how different prices can be? No surprises here, and no hidden costs. In a different city, we had to deal with someone else. We were shocked by the prices, and wouldn't have known any better had we not just worked with Heafey Hoffmann. I was with Bill Cutler and initial observations were he was very businesslike and hurried. I found over time he contradicted himself and there were some uncomfortable conversations with him. He came across as pompous and arrogant. I spoke with other staff and I was able to get the information I needed. read more

wii never recommend , Funeral was such confusion and no help offered, ( they are the professions, not us) no empathy, avoided family members, staff treated family as unworthy of their time. and treated us like criminals, watching us like we were going to walk away with something that wasn't paid for. Truly, I would rate this organization MORE than five stars if I could. 5+ ! In thinking back, I cannot say enough positive things about my experience here in July 2018, upon the death of my well-loved mom. Both Bill Cutler III and IV were responsive, competent and compassionate. The revamped facility on 78th and Center is well appointed, including a lovely and convenient adjoining room for fellowship afterwards. Both Cutlers did everything possible to relieve the burden of logistics while going through a rough emotional loss. During the services, luncheon and next-day interment, every single member of the staff went above and beyond in a very empathic manner. Every particular detail was attended to. Their fees were competitive which, I have to admit, surprised me. (Lesson learned for me: do not assume they are pricey until you compare.) read more

My wife recently passed away, and I needed to find a suitable place on short notice to handle her funeral service. It turns out Yelp's coverage for funeral homes and mortuaries/crematoriums is pretty bad, so I'm leaving a review to help folks in the future. The executive summary is that Heafey Hoffmann did an excellent job for my wife's funeral. Base on some initial research (I wanted to avoid nationwide chains like SCI), we checked out a funeral home in Benson. Unfortunately, that funeral home was pretty run down inside. It didn't feel like the most fitting place to say goodbye to a loved one. I worked with Bill Cutler at Heafey Hoffmann. The initial quote I received was about 20% more than the Benson funeral home. But the facility at 7805 West Center Road (which they call West Center Chapel) is beautiful, brand-new, and well-equipped to handle any size of service. They have one chapel with pews. One smaller chapel. A larger chapel with chairs that can be added or removed. They also have a community room, in case you wanted to have food after a service. I had a very good experience with Bill Cutler. He didn't try to upsell me on anything. He was respectful, especially to my mother-in-law. He responded well to minor changes on the day of the service when we needed to add some extra chairs. When a family member had a specific request, he checked with me first as the next-of-kin. The organization ran well too. They have sticky boards for physical photos and easels. They have TVs for showing slides. You can bring in your own music. They can create funeral programs quickly. My wife was cremated, and they were able to separate her ashes into a container for me and two smaller containers for family members. My only constructive feedback would be to serve digital-native folks a little better. For music, I believe they wanted a regular CD of music, but I'm not sure that you could bring in a CD of MP3s. It wasn't 100% clear how to provide a movie or photos in a format to easily do a slide show. Also, Heafey Hoffmann handled flowers by taking pictures of the flowers, printing them out, and stapling them to the floral cards. This works well (and they did this extremely quickly) for writing thank you cards. But if you wanted to email photos of the flowers to someone, it felt like getting digital pictures of the flowers was a request that was off the beaten path for them, so they weren't as equipped to help with that. I suspect that I'm a lot more digital-inclined than most people doing a funeral, but giving more info on the website about how to provide music or slides would have been a helpful addition. However, those are just constructive suggestions. Heafey Hoffmann worked extremely well for our service. read more

We've unfortunately had to bury my grandmother, grandfather and uncle but can't say enough good things about this company. The owners are very kind, thoughtful, organized and make the process go extremely smoothly while you're mourning. 2 of the funerals we pre-planned the arrangements and the other was unexpected. We never felt taken advantage of and that they were looking out for us throughout the whole process. I highly recommend them if you're ever in the need. read more

Good enough but the CD is old hat, as another reviewer said. Hire a presentation guy if you do not know how to do it. Bill Cutler is not a technician, we know this, but CD and DVD is old news and it will put people off in the future. Awkward when a family is not into producing a movie on DVD! Also, be careful who you recommend for flowers. We were impressed but the initial interaction with the female florist was odd. However, my family appreciated everything, so thanks. read more
