If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. They are unprofessional, won't send death certificates, (it has been months at this point!!!) lock doors to their building during business hours, and don't answer phone calls and rarely call back. The building hasn't been updated since probably 1960s. And the cherry on top of this nightmare one member of the staff was dealing with us while only in sweatpants! My son died 1 February and as of today (April 18, 2022) I have yet to receive his paid for death certificates. Surely there is an employee that could get them. Everything is at a standstill because they all need a death certificate including his banks. read more

This will be a review that will be edited over time. My father passed away this past Friday and my mother is using this location to do a cremation. We are not having the ceremony until mid March. We paid for a basic cremation and 100 ceremony pamphlets to be given to the people attending the funeral. I will edit this review after the ceremony. My father recently passed away and Kremer Funeral Home conducted the cremation of his body. I live out of state and was not able to join my loved ones in my father's homegoing but I had ordered an urn online through another company for my father's ashes and it was not delivered in time of his funeral service. The staff and owner were very polite, sympathetic and understanding of my request and honored my request and for that, my family and I are very thankful! I had an excellent experience with Kremer. Funeral Director Nikita came to my home due to difficulty driving some days for me. She was very kind, respectful, professional and answered all my questions for pre-planned cremation. I now have the peace of mind knowing I have a paid plan so my family doesn't have to worry. They have very comparable prices with other Homes, but I found them the most reasonable for a person on a limited budget who is not looking for anything besides the basics. My life forever changed the night of July 21, 2019 when my spouse, who had esophageal cancer passed away in the middle of the night when a tumor ruptured. I didn't know who to call, but the police officer suggested Kremer is close and he could call them for me. He came back into the house and said they would be about an hour in picking my loved one up to transport to the funeral home. About 40 minutes later, two lady's arrived and in the most respectful way advised me and let me know what would happen in the next few hours, along with being sincerely sympathetic. Later that morning, their office called me and had me come in to fill out paperwork and do all of the necessary arrangements. They even allowed an extra day before cremation so the family could travel to Omaha for a viewing before cremation. The funeral home went well above and beyond for me and their staff was the best of the best. Price wise, I can't say enough about the no nonsense approach at Kremer. There was no pressure, no rush to make arrangements or no push to sell me things I neither wanted nor needed. The folks at Kremer handled all of the legalities, paperwork, and arrangements and all they did was ask me what my wishes were. I had nothing but extreme satisfaction on the way they handled everything for me. Thank you Kremer Funeral Home, for the expert service and care you took in taking care of my loved one. I can not express how unsatisfied I am with this place of business. I have never been given the run around and heard so many excuses for anything in my life. They made every step of the way the process so much more difficult than it ever should have been. My father passed away on May 9, 2022 his body was finally cremated on May 26th then was able to have his service on June 4th. The memorial folders they made was the worst I ever seen in my life very generic and cheap looking. I've never been so embarrassed in all my life and I feel like I disrespected my father because of this whole process. Here today is June 20, 2022 and we have not received a death certificate for my dad to finish up anything that still needs to be handled but cannot do anything without the death certificate. I would do anything and everything to avoid using this funeral home that you can do. Wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy. read more

This place has top notch service. Very professional and very affordable, especially for those of us that are self pay. The owner does all the work and we dealt with him directly. We were set up at another funeral home that gave us the runaround before telling us how much it would all be. Sticker shock! A friend recommend Kremers and we called and talked to Travis. He ended up going to that other funeral home and picking up our Dads body and gave us the same service for more than half the price. If that isn't being a hero, I don't know what is. Kremer has been the mortuary for my immediate family for four generations; I am 70 years old now and am confident this is where my memorial service will be when the time comes. They were patient and kind every time we had to choose a coffin, and even their more affordable ones were beautiful. They let each funeral be as unique as the individual being mourned. Unlike another mortuary, per one of my first cousins who had wanted it played at a funeral at that other mortuary, Kremer allowed us to have "When You Walk Through a Storm (Hold Your Head Up High" (from the musical "Carousel") as part of my younger brother's service, as a drunk driver had left him so brain-damaged that he was unable to walk, speak, or feed himself, then again for my mom's service. Mom had gotten rheumatoid arthritis around the time I started kindergarten and had spent the last 10 years of her life in a hospital bed in her living room, so she was now literally walking in Heaven in a glorious new body with no pain. When my 6-year old died in a stupid accident, they kept parting his hair, which one of his Sunday school teachers said the minute he left the hallway where I had just parted it, he took his fingers through it to destroy the part. We thought that was very sweet of them, tho' we had told them about his hair, so my older son and I kept messing it up, then they "got it" so left it alone. When my mother-in-law died, she knew very few people here, most of her family being in the Oakland, CA., area, and they provided a few men to be mourners so the mortuary wouldn't be so empty. My then-husband and I had to make payments from Norfolk, VA, where his ship was home-ported, and I learned from my dad in a letter that he had run into Mrs. Kremer, who had remembered all of us and told him "Mr. Adams, your daughter is doing a good job of paying on her account". They are/were affordable, a good thing, as when my paternal grandmother died, her son with the most money had asked if they couldn't have the county bury her; she had born 12 children, he was the oldest, and the other 11 of course did not agree with Uncle Cecil. When my niece, who had quit attending church once she was confirmed, died, they provided a minister. (Why they list me as being in/from California at the top of this by my name, I have no idea. Proud to have lived in Omaha, Nebraska, all but the two years that I spent in Norfolk, Virginia as a Navy wife). read more
