I very rarely write any reviews but I urge you to read this one through to the end. You'll save yourself a lot of money and steer clear of these snakes. My wife and I initially went to one of their lunch and learns as I have been struggling with Neck Pain after having been a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 15 years. The first "issue" we encountered was when they booked us for a Friday ... WHEN THEIR OFFICE IS CLOSED !! Luckily I called to reconfirm my appointment and they caught their error and changed it to a Thursday instead. Once we arrived we were brought to a room and the Nurse Practitioner informed us of all the treatment "options" available. Then the large fellow who was the sales pitch guy from the lunch and learn came in and gave me an itemized list of what they wanted to offer me. How can they offer anything without having examined me, taken X-Rays or MRI's??? I mentioned to him that the price they were looking to charge me was too high ($4,800) and could they please come down and meet meat a more reasonable level. He said he had to speak to the "manager" and when he came back he had a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT set of charges which we had never discussed initially. Our starting point was now roughly $6,000 and he proceeded to tell me how we "hook me up". After he whittled down all the charges and we ended up right back where we started. He had in essence just added charges, which he then "took away" to make it seem like he was "giving" me something and we ended up right back at $4,800. This place is probably one of the most overtly sleazy, hardcore pressure sell business I have ever walked into, and that's saying something considering I have bought a used car before, and that guy had more manners than this place. STAY AWAY. They will trick and cheat you into buying their "services" based on nothing more than fear. As I mentioned, they never examined me or took X-rays. Just left NIVA health - Heal below zero and that cryotherapy chamber will knock your socks off lol!! It l have tried a few others in the area over the last 6 months to help with my stiff shoulder and body pain and this one was by far the coldest. If you haven't tried a full body cryo sauna before, I highly recommend coming here. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming upon my arrival. I'm a 67 year old male that has been making my own health decisions my entire adult life. Set up a consultation with NIVA Health to evaluate neuropathy in my lower extremities. I arrived 15 minutes early for a 10:30 appointment and completed a five page questionnaire. One hour later, 11:30, I was escorted back to an exam room. Nike proceeded to ask me several questions almost all of which were on the questionnaire I had completed. Obvious he hadn't reviewed it. Then he ran four "test". Touching my lower legs in several places with a metal rod, ice bag, tuning fork, and finally a blow dryer with a short cord to test for heat sensitivity. He then brought in an "IR camera" and took pictures of the top and bottom of my feet and informed me I had poor circulation and left the room to pass the "exam" details to a provided who was going to review it and develop my treatment plan. About 15 minutes later Jennifer enters the room and informs me they think I'm a candidate but I need to watch a 15 minute video while the provider develops my plan. After the 15 minute video, Jennifer comes back in and says they are still working up my plan and it shouldn't too much longer. About 15 minutes later Jennifer returns to the room and informs me that while i am a candidate for their treatment program, they won't discuss it with me unless i have my spouse participate. I informed them that I was very capable of making my own decisions regarding my medical treatment plans. They said sorry, it's their policy, no partner no plan discussion. While the staff was courteous, I found them a bit unprofessional. Neither Nike nor Jennifer introduced themselves, I had to request their names. When I called to make the appointment, Sam asked if I would be bringing my partner and I informed him I would not. He did not say this was a show stopper. Likewise, the receptionist should make it a point if it is if-fact a requirement. There is NO insurance coverage, which they also don't discuss up front, yet they do ask who your insurance carriers are. Bottom line: They wasted four hours of my time, 80 miles of gas, and caused more anxiety than I went in there with. read more

I have attended this seminar recently. It was at Amici's in St. Augustine. As I looked around the room, it was filled with people of a similar age group, mostly "Baby Boomers." Some of the attendees had more apparent health issues than other's in the room. Clearly, we were the target audience for this program. We were given lunch, while listening to the lecturer, Dr. Cullen and watched his Power Point presentation. During the presentation Dr. Cullen mentioned that it costs $5000.00 per shot, which is not covered by medical insurance. At the end of the seminar, all attendees were invited to have a personal evaluation with Dr. Cullen, for a $50.00 consult fee, if they wanted it. I opted to have a personal consultation to determine if this program would be a benefit to me. My personal consultation with Dr. Cullen was not what I expected. We spent very little time reviewing my medical history. I felt he glossed over it, in order to get to the "Closing Sales Stage." Make no mistake- this is a Sales/Marketing program. It's directly targeted towards Baby Boomers and others with health issues. Dr. Cullen asked me if I was ready to pay the $5000.00 per shot, for my health issues. I said No, I wasn't about to spend that kind of money without knowing more about the process and success rate. I was never shown any statistics regarding their success rate. Dr. Cullen seemed genuinely taken aback by my refusal. He indicated he was going to step out of the room, to give me a few minutes to reconsider my enrolling in the program. ( This is another sales tactic, that is often used in high pressure sales, like time shares. ) This "step outside maneuver," confirmed my feeling that this personal consult was a sales initiative, not the typical medical consultation that I expected. When Dr. Cullen returned he asked if I changed my mind, I replied NO! It was clear that I was not moving forward, as he said he had other clients waiting. I was being dismissed since I wasn't going to pay for treatment. At one point during this meeting, Dr. Cullen mentioned his bad shoulder, and his wife's bad hip. He indicated that they both needed treatment. I stated that this was reason for my desire to participate in this seminar and personal consultation. He suggested that I touch his shoulder to feel the problem he had. I touched the top of his shoulder and felt it "POP" as he moved it. What I found odd about this is if he needed the stem cell treatment, why didn't he have it already? This part of the encounter did not create any confidence in the program, it made me more suspicious and uncomfortable with the entire program. While I do believe in the possibility of success with Stem Cell Regeneration, I did not feel that enough justification was offered to warrant my participation at this time with this program. As a consumer, I caution everyone to do the research before making such a costly investment. read more

Heal Below Zero is an awesome place, cryo machine gets nice and cold.. always feel energized after session.

When I first started at heal below zero NIVA the therapy was actually scary in the beginning and then got even colder on the second visit. At first I didn't feel much of a difference but then I noticed after going back 3 more times that I have less aches and pains and more energy now. I actually have a better appetite, because my friends say I eating better and also looking healthier overall. I would recommend this place because they do a solid job and seemed to have helped me and my health. read more

If I could give it a negative number I would. Do not let your elderly parents or anyone for that matter go there. Our dad went for neuropathy treatments. FIRST, the case manager does all of the explaining of treatments (well they are supposed to explain), they determine if they are eligible for the program, (basically diagnose them) OH did i forget to mention that the case manager at this clinic come from a telecommunication back ground and has no medical background OR degree. According to the Florida law, a physician is supposed to go over all of that so that he/she can answer any questions that the patient may have. The doctor or in this clinics case, the NP, just comes in and does the treatment. The treatments that my father received for neuropathy aren't even on their website for treatments for neuropathy. Those treatments that they gave him were for joint and tissue repair, nothing about nerve repair. When I questioned that, they sent me "outside" information on it. So why cant they advertise it on their website? Then they send the patient home with machines to do other treatment on their own. One is some sort of shock machine. Be weary of signing papers as well. READ them. They just shove them in your face. You apparently sign away any liabilities for yourself, any family member, any attorney, etc. Then they have you apply for a health credit card and stick you with the massive bill to pay. read more

I attended an educational workshop with my husband and it was a fantastic experience.I went into this thinking I couldn't afford the treatment but I learned otherwise at the seminar and the consultation that the cost of losing out on quality of life far exceeds paying for this service. the office was able to work my monthly payments to be less than what I pay for my cable bill so they were able to make treatment a reality and fit it into my budget.
