Amy was nice, professional and very accommodating. I had a 90 min float session and a 90 min massage. I had never floated before. I wasn't expecting the air to be so hot and humid, kind of like when your car heater it's you in the face and you can't breathe. I loved the feeling of weightlessness, although I couldn't quite settle my mind or body. I think 90 min was too long for me, personally, bc I got bored towards the end. I never went into a deep state of relaxation that I've heard of. That's my issue, not the float tank. I actually preferred to move around the tank than try to lie still. It was more soothing. Amy is a very good massage therapist. She always made sure I was comfortable and asked me what I liked or disliked. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a relaxing massage. I would recommend the float tank for anyone wanting to try it. I don't think it was for me, but I think that was bc I'm an antsy person. read more

I have seen Amy for the past few months for acupuncture and she is amazing! I had never done it before so I was a little hesitant but Amy put me right at ease in the first session. She does a wonderful job of checking in each session with on how you are feeling and what is going on with your body and then she customizes the session for whatever you need. I went in today for a massage with Ian Green. I have been lucky enough to have massages all over the world, including at many 5-star resorts in major cities. There are 2 kinds of massage therapists -- people who decide to go to school for it, and people who are natural healers. Ian is the latter. He creates an environment of calm as soon as you meet him. He senses where you hold tension and remains aware of your reactions and any discomfort. This was the most relaxing and effective massage I've ever had. He is professional, communicative (but not overly so), and most importantly -- extremely good at what he does. My husband also saw Ian for a massage and cupping and was later that day rid of neck pain he'd had for months. Amy is fantastic!! She really knows how the body works and uses some techniques I had never experienced before - but they are very effective. Every massage is a customized massage. Communication is the key with your masseuse and Amy is the perfect person. She makes sure to ask of any focus points you would like and discusses a game plan with you beforehand. I started seeing Amy for acupuncture in November 2017 for chronic sinus issues. I was desperate for relief, had seen so many doctors and specialists, had allergy testing done, tried a bunch of meds. Nothing helped. I was getting about 4-6 sinus infections a year, every couple of months. Every time was a doctor or urgent care visit, a round of antibiotics. Then it would sometimes cause a cold, and it always caused my asthma to flare up. After a couple of sessions with Amy I was already seeing relief. My constant sinus pressure and swelling was decreasing, breathing better, sleeping better. I moved into maintenance appointment status and it's been life changing! I haven't had a sinus infection since I started acupuncture, even with activities that used to cause them with no fail (cleaning my house, being outside, etc.). Not to be gross, but I used to have post-nasal drip so constant and significant that I would choke. It's GONE COMPLETELY! And no sinus infections means no colds, no asthma flare ups. I no longer use all the nasal sprays and inhalers I had daily. Being a pretty active weekend warrior, it's really annoying to have what amounts to chronic muscular neck ache/pain (that never goes away, thanks to sitting at a computer all day). Amy has been more welcoming of my input and more helpful than anyone (massage therapists, chiropractors) that I've sought for treatment in the 5-6 years since I've had this issue. She knows her physiology, philosophy, and most practically for a patient, techniques. She's employed a variety in any given session, tailored to my aches. The combination's been slightly different from session to session. To me, this means that Amy's continually listening and brainstorming new ideas. I've always felt significantly better for several days afterwards. Maybe that's relatively short-term relief, but in my case, sitting daily in front of a computer doesn't do any favors. If I weren't so strapped for time, I'd be there weekly. Her massage room is a comfortable, cozy environment that calms your senses. Bed, music, lighting, etc. (and of course Amy herself!) all create both a professional but really, really relaxed feel. Whether you prefer to talk about what treatment she's administering, what's going on in your lives, or just checking out for awhile, Amy's always made it a really positive experience for me. This place is a hidden gem in Allegheny West on Pittsburgh's Northside. Ian is one of the most talented massage therapists I have ever encountered. He strikes those balances that elude most massage professionals: he inquires without prying, he listens without judging, he explains without being overly clinical, and he demonstrates an uncanny intuition when you just need a silent session. I have an incredibly high stress profession and then 2020 hit. I do not go to the grocery store, but I made the decision for my mental and physical well being to continue with massage treatments. I saw Amy for acupuncture after having mild back pain for years that became very intense over the last few months. I had seen several doctors and physical therapists for the pain with no results. I felt defeated and tired of always having pain. Amy spent time with me during my first appointment to really listen to my symptoms and asked me detailed questions to help create my personalized treatment plan and try to find the root cause. She really seemed to care about helping me. Amy used cupping almost as a diagnostic tool to see where my pain was / increase circulation and then did acupuncture. After my first appointment, the pain significantly decreased. I now have no pain. Having a private session also helped me see the benefits of having a customized plan verses going to community acupuncture which is relaxing for me in general. This is an AMAZING team, including Ian, Amy, and Charles, with deep knowledge and exceptional patient care. I started with Ian's deep tissue massage which has helped me overcome longterm back pain from old whiplash injuries; it feels like giant boulders in my back have been pulverized and removed! Ian has a knack for precision targeting back injuries, like hitting the target to destroy the Death Star. I'm standing up straighter, taller, and can rotate my shoulders without pain. Several years ago I had surgery to remove a schwannoma in my foot. The first time I tried acupuncture with Amy, the pain relief was like going outside to experience the quiet after a snowfall--all the "noise" going from my foot to my brain had stopped, freeing up space to think about other things!
