I went to Healani's Nails to get my nails done for my prom. I've never had a pedicure or manicure done by someone else so I was a little nervous but Healani was very nice and helpful. On the phone she suggested a mini mani/pedi which ended up being perfect for me! As she was filing my nails she showed me what nail polish she had on, which was a silver with a black shattered effect, I thought it was pretty cool and decided to go with that instead of a plain silver. They turned out reaally pretty! Healani's Nails is located right along Papalina Road, easy to find(: I love her small cute shop, its a/c and definitely not over crowded like other places I've seen which makes it much more easier to relax and talk story. I went to Healani's Nails the morning before my wedding to get a nice manicure and pedicure. I'd considered getting my nails done at one of the local resort spas, but when I saw that the combo starts at about $150 and goes up from there, I decideded to get a recommendation from our wedding planner. She suggested Healani's Nails. Healani is the woman who runs Healani's Nails. It was a nice, quaint locals kind of place. Healani, herself, did my nails. She told me she used to work at the fancy spa at the Hyatt in Poipu that charges those rediculous prices, so I felt good knowing I was probably getting about the same treatment but for about a third of the price! Healani did a great job. My manicure and pedicure lasted for a long time and it looked great. I would go back here on our next trips to Kauai. read more

This place is amazing! I booked a manicure and a pedicure here after reading the reviews on yelp and deciding that the prices at the hotel spa were just way too over the top. I had shellac on my nails and needed a manicure and a pedicure before returning home. I received a shellac manicure again which was done exquisetly and also received one of the best pedicures I've ever had. I wish I lived closer so I could make this my go-to spot. I can only recommend this place with the highest accolades for anyone local or anyone visiting Kauai and needj g amazing nail services!! read more

These ladies know how to treat a man! I did the Mani Pedi combo so not to look like Fred Flintstone leaving the island. These ladies can talk story with the best of them and we had a lot of laughs. A hidden gem! Healani's is a quality nail salon with island warmth. My daughter and I had a pedicure there in July - tried to post this back then but ran into a signal snag, hence the 6 month delay. I am an established client of Healani. She is a gem and so is her sister and business partner Kalei. I have never left there disappointed, they are very accommodating, gentle, social, patient and professional. I've seen people of all ages receive services there and have never observed anything negative. Their prices are reasonable. I would recommend making an appointment and not walking in. NOTE: The salon has moved. They are still on Papalina Road, but at 4489 Papalina Road. The building right behind Kalaheo Post Office. Try it, you'll love the local experience! read more

If you are looking for an excellent mani or pedi at reasonable prices ($40 for both) this cute little nail salon is just 10 minutes away from Poipu and right off the main Highway in Kalaheo. I was able to get a last minute appointment after Christmas and the staff were so pleasant and professional. Lots of colors to choose from & massage chairs were great. read more

Very sweet owner. I enjoyed talking with her. Pedi was enjoyable but polish a bit messy. Charged $60 for regular mani. I was so in shock I didn't protest. Seriously- those are resort prices! I didn't even get polish on my nails so the amount of work she has to do was minimal. Based on price I can't recommend. read more

Healani was very nice and very accommodating to me and my 10 year old daughter getting special vacation pedicures. She used to work at the Hyatt and has been in business for herself to quite a few years. Her sister works with her so they can do simultaneous services for 2 people which was difficult to find. I went to Healanis Nails In January while I was on vacation. Healanis was recomended by a woman I spoke to who was working in a shop near where I was staying. It was a fabulous experience!!! I love the location and feel of the shop and the woman who did my pedicure was so nice and the pedicure lasted my whole vacation even thru all the walking in the sand. My daughters and I wanted pre-wedding pedis and manis and were delighted with the warmth of the two sisters who work here. It is clean and very mellow. They took about an hour and a half for the services per guest, and we were extremely pleased. They are lovely local ladies, and we so enjoyed this local experience over a stuffy spa. read more

I live part time in Poipu and have been going to Healani's for years. It has become one of my favorite things about being here. Healani and her sister are great nail technicians and are funny and warm people. They have created a clean, friendly place with just two pedicure chairs and two manicure stations, so there is an intimate feeling. Next door is Elements salon, where Tanya gives great facials and around the corner is the Kalaheo Cafe, for the best breakfast or lunch on the South Shore. It is about a 15 minute drive through some gorgeous country from the Hyatt. Don't miss this experience, it is off the beaten track and a real treasure. read more

had a 'more expensive' pedicure but it wasn't worth the $20 extra - so don't bother spending your money! had shellac nails and it was terrible polishing. they posted as a 'manicure' but they definitely didn't spend the time doing that correctly. also maybe they were running out of polish because the 2 coats they did put on weren't evenly spread on. And then the polish didn't last 1 week and I've had other shellac services and it's lasted 2 or more weeks. read more
