It's hard to know where to go for a good pedicure. I did a lot of research and was deciding on Donia. I instead asked my friend, Fran who her manicurist is. Of course - it's Donia. Her place is very clean and comfortable. A one person shop with massage chair. She does a thorough and thoughtful job. My big toe is a problem and she took her time to totally clean it "gently". Her price is more than I'm used to paying (in the Bay Area) but it's so worth it. I love the special pampering. Mahalo Donia

I rarely write Yelp reviews, but I had such a great experience with Donia. I was visiting Kauai and needed an urgent gel removal as well as a gel manicure. She was so meticulous and detailed with the entire process and she did such a fabulous job. She was so personable and nice to talk to. She has a very cute space that had convenient parking and her online booking system was so easy to make an appt. I am definitely going to recommend her to all my friends who visit Kauai!

Great Experience! I had my nails done at a different salon prior to arriving on the island but had a terrible experience plus the gel manicure was of poor quality and started falling off after a week :( so I was desperately looking to have them fixed when I found Donia on yelp who saved the day! She was so nice & accommodating when I called to set up an appointment & once I was there she took her time and really cared about me being happy with the results.

Who doesn't love a great manicure and pedicure? Well if you are in the area of Koala, Kauai, here's the place you should go to experience a truly wonderful manicurist who goes the extra step to make your nails look magnificent. Honestly, Donia is so talented! And her salon is so clean and inviting. I can't say enough of how much I enjoyed relaxing and being pampered. Will most definitely be back on my next visit. read more

Amazing service with the best personality! Never had a pedi before more so that I needed it. I was a little shy to have someone even look at or touch my feet but Donia really made me feel comfortable with laughs and smiles! My feet felt really good afterwards and so smooth. my feet weren't that bad but just some hard skin in certain areas which she took care of. Full service of feet soaking, toe and nail cleaning, and a nice gentle massage. My feet never felt so clean! Thank you Donia! I will be back for maintenance!! read more

Had a great time with Donia at her adorable spa. We were on vacation and after 3 days in the ocean my nails were in dire condition. Donia has an online booking system that made it easy for me to get a last minute appointment. Everything was clean and comfortable. It's very 1:1 so if you like to just zone out and not talk to your nail technician, this might be weird for you. I love a good chat though so this was perfect. Donia is a perfectionist and almost a week later my nails and toes still look perfect. She takes her time getting things right, so don't be in a rush. Highly recommended if you want an alternative to the nail services at the big hotels with very high quality. read more

Went here with my Mom while on vacation in Kauai. Donia was able to fit us in and did an amazing pedicure for my Mom and (perhaps less importantly) for me. She has a nice massage chair you get to sit in and the whole process is very relaxing (just like Kauai!). If you find yourself in need while on the island, highly recommend (but make sure to book in advance as she fills up quickly). PS- One note, her shop is tucked into a multi-use building, just walk in the door on the right side (from the road) and it's right there inside. read more

I came here to get my nails done for my wedding. Gel French manicure and pedicure with design. Donia painted the design by hand! Not stickers. She also takes extra care to address your concerns and will fix a nail for you if you're not happy. The place is cozy, clean, and organized. There's only one chair, so it's quiet and relaxing. We were on vacation here when I realize that I was in bad need of a pedicure. We were staying in Koloa and luckily I found Donia! She does such an awesome job. She has lots of pretty colors of polish to choose from and she is so sweet! I had a spa pedicure and she worked on me for more than one hour. I would recommend her to anybody! I really enoyed getting my nails done here.Donia was so sweet and pleasent.I'm pretty picky about my nails and usally dont say anything if I am unhappy.But I LOVED how she worked and what a perfectionist she was.Im from Honolulu over here for a wedding and had no idea where to go.Yelp never fails to steer me in the right direction.My friend got her nails done too and she was equally as happy! Donia is absolutely worth booking. For locals and vacationers, she works intentionally with great care. She gave me a beautiful gel manicure. Note: I came in with SNS powder on my nails, she was willing to remove it even though she does not offer that product before beginning her services (the Hyatt Anara spa would not). She never complained, instead she smiled and was generous with her time and talent. I will definitely return. Much more affordable than the nearby resort spas and a better result, too. read more

I'd highly recommend anyone who got free time for relaxing in Kauai to visit Donia's shop. The 2-hour experience is unbeatable, especially when you are asked to sit in a massage chair when she polished your nail! I asked Aaron about the ONE bad review that was online and he explained to me that the lady who came in insisted she wanted her nails done right away. He explained to her that he had another customer ahead of her and she got upset and stormed out - wait your turn lady!!! It was my husband's and my anniversary so he treated me to the 90 minute outside massage. They give you a locker, towels, a robe, and slippers. The co-ed area has a lap pool, two jacuzzis, and a tiny cold plunge (more like a seat). You can order food from a phone. They had iced tea and flavored water along with nuts and candied fruits. On the women's side there was a sauna and steam room that smelled like eucalyptus and a cold shower if you get too hot and a jacuzzi. There are cold small towels throughout to wipe your head, shoulders, or wherever. You wait in the ladies area before being called into a hall with bathroom along the way and rock waterfall. There's another co-ed sitting room with more tea water and apple bananas and cold small towels with recliner chairs. Then you go into a jungle looking area with small huts where you get your massage. I very much enjoyed my massage and felt like I went to outer space at least twice. I forgot my worries and came to the conclusion that I truly have none worth fretting about. I think service could've been more helpful and friendly. I came the day before to prepare but they only confirmed and did not go out of their way to help me feel welcome. They asked if they could include the service charge (i think about 20-21%) which ended up being $78, total bill was about $390. I'm thankful for my wife. Upon arriving i got a nice robe and fresh slides. Sweet! I was shown to the lockers to drop off my personal items. I was also able to store my big luggage in their office. It's so convenient. Everything is so clean. Limitless towels and lemon water and tea. Shaving cream and razors. Lotions and body spray. Each individual shower is lined with lava rock and has its own shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. It's a rain shower. So classy. I spent time in the pool. Then got into the whirlpool so I could get onto the COLD PLUNGE. Oh man, did that feel really good. All aches and pains gone. I did that twice. Then the eucalyptus steam room was very rejuvenating. I did that twice and topped it off with a cool coconut towel as I watched Georgia tech beat Colorado. We were there from 1pm until 7pm and it was an amazing experience. Oh yeah, they also delivered food - we ordered a turkey wrap and Cobb salad. Both delicious and filling and we didn't have to leave our lounge chairs! I felt so lazy and it was magnificent. The service was top notch. If I needed anything at all, staff was there every time. I did the wave massage thingy. Even at the strongest setting it was pretty weak. I'll just go for a human from now on. I highly recommend.

Not so great. After…read moresearching online for spas in the area I decided to go with the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa located in the Sheraton Resort in Poipu. I was staying down the street and thought the location was convenient. I wish I would have gone with the Hyatt farther down the road. First, the spa consists of two adjoined hotel rooms. I don't know why it wasn't located next to the fitness center, so showers and locker facilities would be available. Yes, the hotel room had a bathroom with a shower however there weren't towels, etc. I began my experience with a Lomi Lomi massage and the masseuse was very concerned with finding out about my specific needs. The massage itself was good. I don't have any complaints and I felt like I received a benefit from it detox, relaxation, etc. What I didn't like was that I was not offered a robe, the room was bright, and the atmosphere was just not welcoming - it didn't feel like it was the oasis it should have been. Also, you could hear the people in the next room and they knocked on the door several times interrupting the relaxation. Next, I had a facial. When the esthetician arrived, she had to unpack all of her stuff, clanking around making all kinds of noise. She was a contractor and not a hotel employee. Again, I just didn't feel like the experience was special. During the facial she talked about her skin care line and frankly wouldn't shut up. I don't mind a little conversation or if the practitioner is explaining what they are doing but I was on vacation and wanted to relax. There was no use of steam to open my poors and she claimed that I didn't have any clogged poors, however when I got home I could plainly see them. The only enjoyable part of this facial was the papaya mask that was very cooling to the slight sun burn on my nose. In no way does this compare to some of the better spas that I have been to. The spa at the Mirage Hotel in Vegas - amazing! I felt ripped off. After spending $360.00, including the added gratuity fee I left disappointed and feeling it was a big waste of time and money.
