I only did my hair with here but I just want to say thank you to Angelina for creating such an awesome up do for my wedding day a few weeks ago. I searched all over for a stylist in Kauai. For me that was one of the hardest searches. Kauai is not as busy as the other Hawaiian island so modern, up to date stylist are far and few between. At least from the Internet pool. I planned my whole wedding through the Internet. I did find one other salon although they took forever and a day and by the time they responded they were booked. Angelina responded to my call promptly and with so much joy and excitement, she made me excited as well after my endless search. She responded to emails and replied to all my questions on a timely manner. The day of the wedding she was the first person I saw and after a weeks vacation in Hawaii prior to that day I was in need of some pampering. She made me feel at home in her tiny studio enough for myself, my photographer, my mom and her but it was intimate enough to have an awesome conversation with the 3 of them. Angelina was very kind and listened to my wants and that can be seen through my photos and her work. She made my hair look like a bouquet of roses it was so beautiful. My husband was worried because I have a lot of hair and he loves it down but I really wanted it elegant. He absolutely loved it, thought I looked amazing and a little sexy too. ;). Thanks a million. Just from that facial I knew that she had a talent for making women feel beautiful. She has a calm demeanor and she's really sweet. Since then, Mia has done my makeup a few times and I've seen her for waxings as well. Mia has a lot of experience with makeup and it's apparent in her work. I've gotten artistic makeup done with her--pudding on my head type of artistry-- and bridal makeup for a photo shoot. Each look was unique and pretty, yet still looked like me. None of that--oh my goodness she's wearing choke makeup kine---it was me wearing makeup, more like the makeup just accentuated my features. Mia also does waxings, which here in Hawai`i is a must! However, her shop for waxings and facials are on her home island of Kaua'i. So if you're ever visiting Kaua'i or if you're from Kaua'i, look her up for a facial and waxings. I've gotten a wax from her a few times and it's been much more manageable than other wax experiences I've had. She uses hard wax---much better in my opinion-- it takes a little bit more patience, BUT there is MUCH less irritation than from strip wax. Strip wax may be fast--but a bit more uncomfortable--to me at least. Mia is the total package, she has a talent with makeup, aesthetician work, and has the pleasant demeanor which I look for in a person in this type of work.
