Some things to be aware of, she is extremely kind, but her facility is kind of bright and loud with many friends talking. You will be her number one priority once she gets to you, but if noise, waiting, and bright lights make you uncomfortable be prepared. She is an expert but it would help to know what the experience is like before going. 1. You sign in (call for an appointment) 2. She asks what is wrong 3. She assess your major organs through your ear canal using a tool that makes noise 4. She confirms areas of discomfort 5. If you get the combo, the massage comes first, you have to take of your top off so be prepared, then the cupping then the acupuncture. 6. You lay on a table and the whole process takes about an hour. 7. You have to come back multiple times to fix any pain issues, not a quick fix. 8. It costs $80 for the combo $60 something just for acupuncture. 9. It doesn't hurt but it does if move around and tense your muscles.

I wasn't sure what treatment she would recommend for the numbness in my hand and foot but she did a treatment of acupuncture and cupping. The treatment was 1.5 hours and it cost 75.00. I would recommend this over deep tissue massage if you are in pain. Some of the cups were a little painful but I found myself very relaxed after a while and I caught myself falling asleep on the table. The staff administered the ketamine in such a careless way that the entire dose pooled at the bottom of the IV bag--causing me to go into a full dissociative state (a K-hole) for the entire day. No one monitored me properly, and no one seemed concerned. I had to be physically carried home. The setting was also completely inappropriate for this kind of therapy. There was a huge dog running around, scratching the floors with its nails--loud and jarring during what should have been a calm, controlled environment. When they tried to wake me, a provider came in and started tapping me on the head, which was incredibly abrupt and unsettling. Instead of being in a supportive space, I was surrounded by staff who were openly chatting about their weekend plans while I was under the effects of a powerful dissociative medication. It felt careless and almost surreal how little professionalism was shown. I ended up switching to Crestline Health and Wellness, and the contrast was immediate. They are everything this clinic was not--attentive, responsible, and genuinely caring. I was ultimately refunded by the original clinic due to the incident, which should tell you something. If you're considering ketamine therapy, please be careful about where you go. This place felt more like a frat house than a medical office.

I wanted the full experience while keeping the cost reasonable, so I searched Groupon and found a few options. With a promotional code, I purchased a 60 minute head spa experience for only $54! It included a head and scalp massage, aromatherapy treatment, and herbal welcome tea. What a steal! I called to ask how soon they could get me in, and to my pleasant surprise, they had an opening later that same day. I was elated! I also made sure they knew ahead of time that I would be using a Groupon in case there were restrictions on the days or times it could be redeemed. There were no issues at all. The GPS led me to the parking lot beside and above the actual storefront. It took me a few minutes to find the entrance because the business is tucked into a small strip between the upper parking lot and the larger shopping center on the other side. I included a video to help others locate it. Once inside, I was checked in and given a two page history and information form to complete. I recommend arriving early enough to check in and finish the paperwork before your scheduled appointment. Otherwise, you may lose some of your relaxation time so they can remain on schedule. If you are using a Groupon, they will also need the redemption code to enter into their system. When it was time for my appointment, I was taken to a private room and given an elastic towel wrap with snaps. I was instructed to remove my shirt and bra and put on the wrap, which was comfortably plus size friendly. There were also small drawers available for my personal belongings. Once I was settled, Makayla came in and placed a wedge beneath my knees for added back comfort. She asked a few questions about the information I had provided and discussed any scalp concerns with me. She examined my scalp with a small light and explained the steps she would be taking, which I believe included a four step process. When I tell you it felt incredible, that still does not fully capture it. The experience exceeded my expectations and was exactly what I needed. Between the washing, rinsing, scalp treatments, and gentle shoulder massage, I could feel myself finally relaxing. When the treatment was finished, Makayla instructed me to get dressed and told me she would return to brush out my hair. Yes! That was an extra touch I did not know was included, and I absolutely loved it because having my hair brushed is one of my favorite things. The entire experience was amazing and came at exactly the right time. If I had the means, I would make this a regular part of caring for both my mental and physical health. I do have one small critique. The head spa room was quite bright. It has an exterior window as well as an interior window that allows sunlight from the front lobby to stream through. Spa settings are usually darker to create a more peaceful atmosphere. While they do place an eye mask over your eyes during the process, there is something about walking into a dimmed, peaceful atmosphere. I learned that they had only relocated to this building a month or two ago, so perhaps darkening the room is still on their list. Even with the brighter room, this was an incredible experience. I left feeling relaxed, cared for, and very grateful that I decided to try it.
