First time doing a colonic and I had a lot of worries, confusion, and questions and Sasha was very nice and professional about everything. He is very thorough with his instructions. Offered Hope to get better where 4 MDs later in my GI major issues did not. I saw a UCLA Walk-In Clinic MD, UCLA Specialist who told me to try something that sent me the ER. ER Doc helped with acute issue then another UCLA Specialist got me to 70%. No where in all this has anyone MD given me how to help my GI avoid this again. The last Doc did write a script for a powerful drug who side effects are bad. I called Healing Arts in the middle of this storm about a colon cleanse and Ingrid offered me hope with Irish Sea Moss. She shared the great success others are having with it and how it helps establish a healthy GI. Just what I needed a plan, hope on how to get better and stay better. It's always a bit awkward discussing matters of the colon....but keeping natural human functions clean and healthy is much more important than BEING EMBARRASSED! My first colonic happened back in '08. A woman politely slipped a tube in my backside and sat with me for a full hour. Thank god that is archaic technology. Sasha, the owner, schedules all appointments ahead of time and stoically shows patients how the machine works. It's clean, comfortable, and quite the serene experience! As you rest back on a heated quartz crystal bio-mat, a tube of fresh water slowly flushes into your colon. The seating is so comfortable, you won't even notice you are pooping into a tube. It is not uncommon to cry or feel uber-relaxed while the process happens. Flushing out weeks, months, and years of rotting meats and fermented food is just the tip of the iceberg. What I am saying is that when one release happens, it is easy to have an emotional or mental release as well. Sasha doesn't have Cary Grant's suaveness or an uber charismatic personality, but he sure knows colons and will make sure you have a great experience. It was recommended to me by my physician to start colonics treatment due to some skin rashes, lower immunity, and possible candida overgrowth. I found Sasha & Healing Arts online and was pleasantly surprised to learn of the Libbe system. Do your research on this method, and you too will probably be relieved! The office is clean and calming. I've had 5 treatments. Sasha is so nice, and easy to talk to. Never intrusive and makes you feel no embarrassment or shame whatsoever. He's just real and you can tell he looks at the whole thing as simply a process. Nothing to feel embarrassed about. He was so thorough in his explanation on my first visit. Every visit thereafter has been so easy. Don't be afraid of the tube. Seriously, it's tiny and it does not go in very far at all. I definitely believe in the flushing of toxins, and clearly colonic hydrotherapy does that. I had immediate results after just one visit. Bloating was non-existent, my tummy felt tighter, and I've since noticed a change in my body and my skin- I have also changed my diet a bit, and am taking other detox supplements, etc. It all goes hand & hand. Definitely do the bio mat. It's very relaxing and also comforting/keeps you warm during treatment. Not going to lie- you can get pretty crampy. I was able to try the hydro colonic system and the Bio Mats. The colon hydrotherapy system was easy to use and I did not feel uncomfortable during the process. I felt great after the session and I will recommend this service to my patients regularly. The Bio Mat treatment following the colon hydrotherapy was very relaxing. I was able to take a short nap and wake up feeling recharged. Overall the staff was very helpful and friendly. The owner is very passionate about natural healing and this is important because I am in tune to healing energy, and this location offers that type of environment. I went in for a colon cleanse and it was quite the experience, in a good way! Initially it's a bit awkward due to the fact that you have to stick a tube in your butt; but you're alone and you feel a warm welcome that pushes you to be bold and go through with it. The place is nice and charming and brings really positive vibes to your experience. After the colon cleanse I really felt great! I usually deal with bloating and acid reflux, but that night when I had dinner I was fine. I felt light after the cleanse and it is day two now as I'm writing this review and still feel light. Well I had my very first colonic done here, and it was a very "relieving" experience. I had a pleasant time here. It was a calm and easy experience, and there were no issues. I was not uncomfortable at all, despite the situation, and I will definitely be back. I also felt the prices were very competitive and better than most places. You do everything on your own so it is very private, and you just let it go. Don't hold back! I really would recommend a colonic as a great way to reset your body and help release toxins. I don't consider myself a health nut, I have my vices but I try and do everything in moderation as to not over do anything in excess, but having said this I have had a low immunity since I can remember, and because of this it has caused numerous other health issues in my life. I've learned to deal with the pain and embarrassment of being so young but fragile, but no more! I'm not willing "to deal" with it anymore and really wanted a change, so I got my first colonic this weekend of the series I plan on doing to improve my overall health. I'd first like to say in general I have pretty high standards, so I was very impressed with Healing Arts. First of all I was relieved that it was easy to find and park. Second of all when I first walked into the office, I was immediately comforted. The interior design is warm and comfortable so I was immediately relaxed. Dark leather chairs, hand woven rugs, tasteful paintings: more like coming home than walking into an office. You could tell that a lot of thought and planning went into this aspect; you never get a second chance to make a first impression, right? The feeling of comfort was carried throughout the whole office in every aspect. I was greeted with a friendly hello by the owner Sacha and everything I was about to do was explained in patient detail, and I was encouraged to ask as many questions as I needed to alleviate any qualms I might have for my first procedure. The room I was lead to was so cozy I imagined being able to lay back and take a nap in! Again, beautiful décor with salt lamps softly glowed, big soft plush towel, with sterile packaging for items to be used. The "bed" where I was to lay for the hour treatment was equipped with Bio Matt that was already warm! After the complete process was explained I was given privacy to get ready. I was relieved to know there was a call bottom I could ring if I had ANY concerns or questions; each and every time I did....I was checked on immediately in a tranquil manner. I was also checked on randomly to make sure I was doing okay, and my privacy was always maintained with a knock first. I was also given a 10 minute warning before the treatment was going to come to an end, which I found to be a nice way to transition. Afterwards I was offered a glass of water and asked how I felt and what I thought about my experience. It was done with sincerity and an obvious passion for the career he has dedicate himself to in order to help as many people as he can "heal". I was worried that there was going to be nausea or cramps and that the rest of my day was going to be laying in bed, but in actuality I felt great! The best way to describe it is I felt younger, lighter, and cleaner; my face was glowing and my skin looked so fresh. I'm not sure if it was the Bio Matt or the treatment or both, but the swelling in my neck from nerve damage I have had since 2010 was gone and I was able to touch the area without any discomfort. I also notice immediately that a recent BO problem I've been experiencing was gone! I also notice HOURS later when I realized I had not smoked, that I didn't have the slightest urge to do so. Is it possible that all of these positive results where because of this treatment?? I had such a great first time experience here. Sasha was the person who helped me and he was really sweet and personable, incredibly knowledgable and helpful. I got a colon hydrotherapy session. They have an open system which allows the person receiving the treatment to be in total control of the experience. Sasha checked in on my three times during my session, and was never intrusive. I'd never done colon hydrotherapy with an open system. I'd always had a practitioner present. I really enjoyed being alone for the session. I felt much more at ease and comfortable. The session lasted about an hour and I really feel I got my money's worth and had a great experience. I will definitely be back. When you go check to see if parking is available in back of the offices. It's limited but it's there. Another note, their website doesn't list any prices, at least the mobile site doesn't. I don't know why. It would be really helpful just to have a price list with the services listed. So if you want to know the price of anything there you have to call.
