I expressed that her holding my report " hostage " for payment was delaying my surgery. She said it was their practice not to release anything until payment. So...... I called blue cross blue shield to see what the hold up was. Low and behold the classroom had been paid for nearly a week. My wife sent the invoice with paid claim and ask could they please release the report to avoid any more delays with my surgery. Well it took them five more days and a couple more emails before the faxed the report. I wouldn't refer anyone here. Holding reports hostage for no fault of the patient is not how you conduct business.

I thought it was really weird that she lied about the origins of her last name. She always spoke to me condescendingly with pre-conceived notions during family therapy. Didn't even ask to hear my side of the story! The least that she could've done was look fair. She didn't speak nicely to me until I decided to stop going to her and literally walked out of an appt. Obviously because she's not getting paid anymore. Shes been a therapist for an extremely long time and her business didn't really grow. That's a red flag. Feel free to message me Dr. Sharon, if you don't recall. Therapy is not something to go cheap on. Please do thorough research and don't just go anywhere just because of convenience.

Lena and Pam always greet me with a smile when I check in. They are quick to share a laugh and you can tell they have a really good dynamic working together. It's very different in a facility where the therapists and doctors talk to each other directly to help coordinate your care, the quality is much better. I've had to leave two different teaching hospitals that are supposed to be on the forefront of medicine and care-the providers weren't nearly as empathetic and responsive. These guys are night and day in terms of the quality in care. The office feels homey, not cold and sterile like you'd imagine in a hospital. I have never before had someone validate my experiences and the effort I've made to work through my issues the way Dr. Sims and my wonderful therapist Paula have. They make me feel like a strong, capable person, not like a victim or a child-never once have I been talked down to the way other psychiatric providers have before. They make me feel like I have agency and control over managing my illness. They really care a lot about supporting you in terms of self-care, not just medication management. I feel like I am working with them as a team to improve and grow rather than having someone tell me how to take care of myself and shove pill after pill at me to manage symptoms. They are great with out-of-office communication as well. Their text notifications and emails help to remind you of your appointments and they are quick to respond to your questions via email as well. It felt like she was pulling years of pain out of my body, it was amazing what was happening and I knew that this was the beginning of something much bigger than I could understand, healing my body both physically and emotionally. After the third visit, I woke up the next day and braced myself to get out of bed, as I had for the past 9 months, in a way that would cause me as little pain as possible. I would usually YELP (no pun intended every time I'd go from a laying down to standing up position). This particular morning, I was amazed to find that when I stood up the pain that had been there for 9 months was completely gone!! The pain remained gone. I continued to go to Bernadette to deal with my anxiety, and years of emotional issues that I had suppressed. I was in very bad shape physically and I knew that if I didn't get my body healed, I would end up with a chronic disease that could not be cured. I looked forward to each session, because every time I would feel better and better. I referred dozens of people to Bernadette, many of them have reported back having phenomenal results, and others who only went once for curiosity but who weren't really committed to the process, maybe because they didn't understand how it worked. (Their loss, truly!) I could write for hours about my experiences and other loved ones who have experienced significant healing during their sessions with Bernadette but Yelp has a word limit for their reviews. I recommend that you give her a few chances to help you with your issues and see for your self. She isn't a miracle worker. She isn't God. But she has a gift from God that I can't explain any better than I already have. She is extremely intelligent, talented, very intuitive and she is a healer of Mind, Body and Spirit.
