She was super friendly and respectful. And the massage was AWESOME. She totally worked exactly the spots that needed it, but also gave some attention to the rest of my body. I felt AMAZING when I was done and am so sad it ended. I've had a lot of massages - some fantastic, some awful. This was definitely near the top. I found that the pressure was perfect - once or twice it got close to being too hard, but never was. She repeatedly asked if the pressure was ok and never went over the line into too hard or painful. It's a bit pricier than I'd like, but that seems to be standard for massage places now. And it's cheaper than other places in the area that I've gone. If you buy a 5-pack or 10-pack, you can save a bit of money, too.

I was concerned that as soon as I lay down, I would start coughing, but somehow Mariana's Reiki managed to calm my system down. The energy from her hands did manage to let my body relax, which it hadn't in the past few days due to the flu. I did feel better when I got up to leave! I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night.
