I had heard of B In Touch but had no idea where it was. Based on some reviews on the Needham FB page, I went here and am SO glad I did! The space is so peaceful and nice - better than I expected given the "business" strip mall it's in. I was able to schedule a massage last minute, which was great, and was scheduled with Jenna. She was super friendly and respectful. And the massage was AWESOME. She totally worked exactly the spots that needed it, but also gave some attention to the rest of my body. I felt AMAZING when I was done and am so sad it ended. I've had a lot of massages - some fantastic, some awful. This was definitely near the top. I found that the pressure was perfect - once or twice it got close to being too hard, but never was. She repeatedly asked if the pressure was ok and never went over the line into too hard or painful. It's a bit pricier than I'd like, but that seems to be standard for massage places now. And it's cheaper than other places in the area that I've gone. If you buy a 5-pack or 10-pack, you can save a bit of money, too. read more

I unfortunately routinely get massages for chronic back pain, and earlier this week I was visiting family in MA. I was able to schedule an appointment within a day through email (phones aren't always answered), and I had a 1 hr massage with Kendra. It was honestly one of the best massages I've had in a while. I've been coming here sporadically for a while. I used to see Ian who I really liked but I guess he left so I saw Jenna today. I asked for her to focus specifically on my lower back and skip arms and legs. She mostly focused on my upper back and does my arms. I wrote it off because I didn't know her flow and figured she would still get to it. So she has me flip over and I figure it's close enough to the end of the session to not bother asking. But it seemed liked she must have timed it wrong and honestly I almost asked her to stop because it was clear she was just killing time rubbing my neck. I feel bad but this felt a little negligent. At the end she asked if my hips and shoulders felt better, which, I supposed they did but that's not what I had asked for :( I will say she was very sweet and I appreciated her asking for consent to move my body but otherwise left so much to be desired. read more

I've been visiting B-in-Touch for about 2 years and found a wonderful masseur in Billie Hafferty. He has a very knowledgeable, deep but gentle touch that never fails to get to the root of my many pain points. I recently bought a new massage package switching from 60 minutes to 90 minutes. I've never gotten a 90 minute massage before, as I could not tolerate the sustained pressure of most massages, but Billie's work is healing and transformative. Plus, he's a great guy to chat with when one is lying on the table. I am not a massage person by any means but I have been reformed. My 90-minute massage was a gift given to me by a friend and, though skeptical, I went and am so glad I did. The space is warm and cozy and gently lit. The music is soothing and the atmosphere is set for the treatment to come. Bonnie, the owner and my therapist for the day, was kind and patient and talked me through what to expect. Once on the table, I got myself comfortable and tried to relax. And relax I did! The massage was expertly done, she honed in on tightness in my neck and in my calves, massaged my back and arms and hands and head. Oh my! We could have done the 90 minutes on my head and neck alone and it would have been well worth it!! Thanks to Bonnie for a wonderful massage and making me a reformed massage person! Was looking for a local massage to tune up the muscles and address my chronic lower back and hip pain and gave B in Touch a try given it's convenient location and favorable reviews. The communication with setting up an appointment here was very easy and i received a very positive interaction via email. My massage therapist Amy did a terrific job addressing my concerns and was very thorough, checking in with me throughout the massage to ensure the pressure was ok. I would highly recommend this location for a massage and Amy as a therapist - have had several high priced massages at five star resort spas and I have to say I felt better walking out of Be in Touch than I did as those other lavish locations, and having spent less to achieve the better result. I'm a bit of a massage snob after some great sessions over my college years in Western MA, and as a full time sore/achy choreographer, but I'd certainly return here! She's knows her stuff and can focus on whereever your body is all knotted up the most. I went back to B In Touch this past weekend looking for a 45 minute massage. I had received a horrible massage the week before (from somewhere else) and knew B In Touch could make me feel better. This time I saw Liz and I was in heaven. I'm not really a fan of Deep Tissue massages, but knew I needed some heavy work on my shoulders. Liz did an amazing job at checking in on how comfortable I was with the pressure, she knew just where to dig in and where not to. Needless to say, I was sad getting off the table at the end of the 45 minutes. I can not wait to see her in a month and get even more release in my back. As for therapists: i HIGHLY recommend Joan-Ellen Dante. I've been to MANY massage therapists and Joan-Ellen is the first where I feel like I actually got a massage when I leave. She does amazing deep tissue work and listens intently to your trouble areas. She also encourages you to speak up if the pressure is too much or anything doesnt feel quite right but i never have to because she reads her clients very well. Stephany is a miracle worker. I am a runner and am in training for a marathon. I came in with so much pain, thinking the marathon was out. I recently made an appointment for an hour-long massage with Ian after suffering immense back pain for a couple of weeks. He immediately zeroed in on some tough spots and knew exactly what to do to release my tension! He ensured I was comfortable with the amount of pressure, the temperature of the room, and even the music. He asked me where I wanted him to focus, and though I wanted a focus on the back he somehow was able to reach every part of my body. It was the perfect balance of strong pressure to release points of tension combined with a more relaxed touch. Now, a week and a half later the pain is still gone and I've been feeling great. If I wasn't moving out of the country I would definitely be a regular! I purchased a gift certificate for my Mom for Mother's Day as a result of my experience. I have been getting regular massages for nearly 25 years and many have not been good at all. I have gone to Newbury Street spas, solo practitioners and everything in between. But I have never experienced anything quite so poor in terms of treatment by staff. Apathetic on a good day, misleading and unprofessional on bad ones. And if you are looking for "aesthetically-pleasing," this is not your place. It resides in the basement of an industrial-looking building with stairs that don't meet building codes except through 'grandfather status' and has a waiting room the size of a postage stamp. I had my first appointment at B in Touch Massage yesterday. My appointment was a 1 hour prenatal massage with Stephanie. Immediately as I walked in the door I was greeted with a welcoming smile. Stephanie introduced herself and asked me to fill out a very short form. After I completed the form I was promptly taken into the treatment area. I was asked if I needed to use the ladies room and of course being pregnant I did. The restrooms were very clean and full of every "convenience" item you could think of. Before my session started Stephanie went over my intake form with me, asking me if I had ever had massage therapy before (yes, many times) , if this was my first pregnancy, and if there were any areas that were specifically bothering me. She then explained how the "wedges" for the prenatal massage worked and assured me that if I was not able to get comfortable there were other positions (like side laying) we could use. Once the massage began she made sure that I was completely comfortable, (position, temperature, music level, pressure etc) and engaged me in some light "get to know you" conversation which made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I was experiencing some lower back and neck pain, which were there previous to my pregnancy. I have had many massages and would definitely put her skills at the top of my list. Overall I could not have asked for a better experience. The offices atmosphere is so welcoming, warm and relaxing and I was given outstanding customer service from all of the staff that I came in contact with, from scheduling, to calling with questions and the session itself.
