I regularly visit Healing Hands and enjoy a relaxing deep tissue Chinese style massage. This weekend they had a new therapist, Emily who specializes in Russian style massage and thought I would give it a try. It was a vigorous, rapid style massage with continuous vibration up and down the spine and extremities. She used circular and long sweeping movements and what felt like a dry brush on my back which I enjoyed as I like a good back scratching. She wrapped both my feet in hot towels and rolled the back of my legs with something that went deep but was not painful. I left feeling more awake and invigorated than I normally do. I originally asked for 60 mins, but the massage was so comfortable and I suppose there were no clients scheduled, so Kate asked if I wanted to go 90 mins. The massage was great and thorough so of course I said yes. She spent a great deal of time on my back, but it felt amazing so I didn't mind. Found this place on the web. Their website clearly defined what the prices were, and they were comparable to other places in the area. I was in the area and after a long flight, I was in quite a bit of pain. I came around noon, and yes, like others said, there really wasn't a hostess, but I was attended to and accepted immediately as a walk-in, so there was no issue I could see. The place was clean and and easy to find. They accepted card with no issues, and there was clearly marked prices including a fee charged if you didn't pay with cash. Alice helped me out and she was incredibly friendly, and her hands were very strong and she was very knowledgable. I told her where the pain was, and she started kneading the area, and within minutes, I could feel the difference. Her deep tissue techniques were incredibly deep and she was able to reach the pain points seemly with ease. After a 60 minutes, she left me so relaxed I really didn't want to get up. This entire experience was just very strange. The massage itself was fantastic. However, when I first showed up, they seemed very confused and didn't realize I had booked an appointment on their online system. I had to show them my confirmation email. Three times during my massage, she had to step out of the room to answer the phone or do other things. Not very relaxing. I can forgive any strangeness in the overall process, but when I went to pay, she asked if I would be using cash or credit card. I said card. She said cash is better. I said I didn't have enough cash. She asked how much tip I wanted to give her, and I said I would give her a tip in cash. My bill was $100, and I gave her a $20 cash tip. 20% seems very fair and reasonable. But she told me that wasn't enough tip and asked for more. I have never in my life been asked for a higher tip for any service I have ever received. I would totally understand if I had handed her five dollars or even $10, but a 20% tip should be sufficient. She became very irritable and was not polite when I even gave her the last four dollars in my wallet to make it a 24% tip. Yes, the massage itself was good. But not worth dealing with a terrible attitude. I will go someplace else next time. read more

They do not tell you that they charge to use your credit card on top of the expect you to tip over 20% and if you don't those ladies are rude about it and have an attitude and they're looking at you talking under breath! She kept stopping in our session like 5xOr answering the phone answering the door talking to her coworker I mean I had originally booked for an hour but I felt like I didn't get an hour so I said OK I'll do the 90 minutes and it just was not worth it and for her to expect for me to tip her 20% and tell me that 20% is too low that is the worst customer service let alone it's called a tip for a reason you know you already got paid for the 90 minute that you guys charge and then you guys expect to be tipped for poor service how horrible do not go here ! I would've given more if service was excellent but I wish I didn't even give Any for the rude service at the end !!! Never again !!! read more

I love receiving Tuina massages here. They're a bit like Swedish massages, but more thorough. Katie does amazing work. I can just close my eyes and enjoy. I highly recommend, especially now during Covid. I've been to other massage places during this pandemic, and Healing Hands was the only place that insisted on taking my temperature before letting me into one of the massage rooms.
