1.10.25: I had another phenomenal massage here w/ Carlos. His technique is fluid, energetic & thorough. He warms up the entire body w/ compressions over the sheet, in a slow methodical fashion. Yay! Then by the time he drapes the sheet & applies lotion to your skin, tissues/muscles are warmed up. Jonathan injured my arm. On August 1st 2024, I got a message at Movement Restoration from Jonathan, a therapist I had never worked with before. As soon as the massage was over, my right arm was numb, heavy, painful and I couldn't move it. I immediately notified Jonathan of this. When I informed the owner, Trish, she kept telling me it was a normal body response and that I didn't need to go to the doctor. The day after the massage, I showed another therapist at the facility, Denise, and the front desk girl the lack of movement in my arm. They both told me that was NOT normal and that I should see a doctor right away. Denise said the owner, Trish, was telling me it was normal because she didn't want to be liable. I had imaging done and went to an orthopedic surgeon on August 6th. He diagnosed me with a rotator cuff impingement tendinitis, axillary neuropraxia and sensory palsy to axillary nerve due to an overhead stretch, manipulation and axillary manual massage. Jonathan overstretched my arm while pressing into my nerves which caused the injury. After going to the Dr. and receiving a diagnosis, I went back to Movement Restoration and gave the owner, Trish, a note from the doctor explaining the injury and the maneuver that caused it. She still tried to convince me it was normal. I asked if she would be submitting an insurance claim and she let me know she would not be submitting a claim as well as would not be taking responsibility for injuring my arm. My arm has now been painful and numb to sensation since August 1st, 2024 because of this. I have been on pain medicine and have been going to physical therapy to help with the pain and to heal the nerve. I had been going to Movement Restoration for years so it's very disappointing to be treated like this. read more

I recently had my first and massage treatment at movement restoration. I booked one appointment for myself (60 min deep tissue) and one for my husband following mine (120 minute deep tissue). Both treatments were scheduled with Denise who was the only available female therapist. The main areas of focus were neck and shoulder tightness. During the treatment Denise seemed a little shaky handed and struggled to release the pressure in my back, shoulders and neck. She utilized her elbows and other tools because in my opinion she does not have the strength needed to perform a deep tissue massage. For reference I am 105 pounds. Once the massage was nearing the end I requested she use any remaining time on my shoulders as they were still extremely tight and had neck pain when moving side to side. She tried but still no improvement. It was then disclosed that she was new and still learning.  When I went to check out I asked if there was another therapist available to complete my husband's 2 hour deep tissue massage ($175) because I did not think Denise had the strength needed and he would be dissatisfied. I was told no one was available and he would be charged a late cancellation fee if he cancelled and could NOT rebook for a different day with a different technician. For reference he was charged the FULL amount for the treatment he did NOT receive. This was my first and last experience with movement restoration. The lack of care or concern from the front desk employee was extremely disappointing. He did not offer any options to make the situation right and seemed offended by my feedback. I understand everyone needs to learn however if you are booking and paying for a service the therapist should be qualified to complete the service. As someone who gets monthly massages I would not recommend movement restoration and will not be going back. read more

Got a 90min deep tissue massage as a gift for my partner. I was honest with my needs, he is 6'3" athletic build and I wanted to ensure that they'd be able to be intense throughout the session. I was reassured by the front desk that they would be and my partner was paired with therapist Alyssa. He was RAVING about it. Said it was the best massage he ever had. Alyssa was knowledgeable and even gave him tips for flexibility stretches to do from home. I was so grateful he had a good experience for an early Valentine's Day gift 10/10 would recommend. She provided probably the best deep tissue massage experience I've ever had. I've been dealing with hip flexor issues since my marathon and she was able to get majority of the area released. I saw Alexis here for my first time and felt compelled to write a review. The staff was extremely friendly, prices are reasonable and worth the value, and the massage itself was great. Alexis was able to pinpoint my lower back and hips like I had asked - and even shed insight into the physiological nature of some of the problems I was having relating to my core and IT bands. One of the biggest issues that I usually have with massages is the therapist not being able to apply the pressure that I need, but Alexis was great! She was communicative and accommodating. I was able to choose the massage modality, time, and LMT. I quickly got the intake form via email and was able to fill that out on my phone very easily. Once I arrived, they checked me as I literally walked in the door. Within minutes, Nadia was out to greet me. Nadia was absolutely terrific. She read my intake form before I arrived, asked a few questions, and we got right to work. She consistently checked in with me regarding pressure. Asked great questions around my fitness routine. She even spent time with me afterwards to 'fix my hips' to help unlock them. I will also add that I am a long time sufferer of planter fasciitis and have had many LMT and PT professionals work on my feet/calves. Nadia was absolutely the best. Four stars for massage services, been a few times and they are really, really good. The float room could easily knock several stars off, it isn't the best as I could hear everyone coming and going in the lobby, even with the pod door completely closed and the loud 432Hz tones I piped out of the internal speakers. It was a "stay present, notice the noises around you, breathe and let them be" sort of meditation instead of the "float in an endless void to go deeper within" session I was seeking. I really wanted a place to do the massage and float combo back to back, but I drive over to another float facility after massages here. read more

There have been 2 locations that I am aware of and the new location is easy to access and very inviting! The perfect environment for relaxation. I am always greeted right away and then taken into my massage room where there is music playing and it smells delicious. Trisha always asks what is bothering me and makes sure to pay attention to those key areas throughout the massage. Unfortunately, the end of the massage always comes to soon! I've seen several different massage therapists there and they all have great training and are all great at pinpointing your pain areas and helping to ease it.
