Allegany Chiropractic Center is wonderful! I came in with persistent lower back pain and numbness in my fingers. Dr. Alex took the time to thoroughly assess my situation and explain the treatment plan in a way that made me feel confident and comfortable. After just a few visits, I noticed significant relief in my lower back and a huge improvement in the numbness in my fingers. The adjustments are effective yet gentle, and the doctor's knowledge and attention to detail are outstanding. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and organized, making every visit a great experience. I highly recommend Allegany to anyone dealing with pain or discomfort. read more

I have been going to chiropractors most of my life and have never had a chiropractor like Dr. Alex! He's amazing! My very first visit to see him he was able to tell me why I was having so much pain and he took care of it! I almost forgot what it feels like to be pain free but now when I leave his office I feel like a new person! He knows exactly what he's doing and explains everything. My only regret is that I didn't know about him many years ago! Robyn, at the front desk is super friendly and very helpful. She's great at her job and I highly recommend going to this provider! I have been going to Alleghany Chiropractic Center Inc for almost 10 years. I have always received amazing care from the doctors there and the staff is simply amazing. I would not go anywhere else for my Chiropractic needs. The doctors take their time with every patient and do everything they can to make sure that each individual receives the care that they need. I would and have recommended this practice to anyone that needs a chiropractor. read more

Allegany Chiropractic Center provides state of the art care by combining chiropractic, physical/ vestibular therapy and patient education to find the cause of the patient's problem, reduce or eliminate symptoms and restore full function to reduce the risk of future relapses.

Meet the Business Owner: Michael D.

Dr. DeCriscio attended Gettysburg College where he completed their pre-med program in biology. After receiving his Bachelors degree from Gettysburg College, Dr. DeCriscio attended New York Chiropractic College in upstate New York to complete their 5-year Doctorate of Chiropractic program (www.nycc.edu) in 3 1/2 years with magna cum laude honors and completed all 4 parts of the National Boards. Over the past two years, Dr. DeCriscio has trained over 175 hours in the specialty of Vestibular Rehabilitation that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with vertigo (dizziness) and balance conditions. He passed a rigorous 2-day oral and written vestibular examination to be one of only 17 practitioners in the world to be Board Certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation by the American Chiropractic Board of Neurology. Just recently Dr. DeCriscio has been nominated to be on the vestibular board that acts to develop standards in the field as well as writing parts of the vestibular board

He's also very educated about other medical fields and usually knows more than my Primary Care Physician. The other thing I love about talking to him about a problem or health issue is that he will usually, if not always, recommend solutions that don't involve medications from big pharma. Dr. Jones has cured substantial neck and sciatica pain for me and many other nagging health issues. He is my Chiropractor for LIFE!!

I went in for my first ever chiropractor appointment and was excited. I felt great after and loved the treatments however I was pretty uncomfortable with Dr Newman. All of the reviews I read prior to going were great but I noticed they were all from older clients. As a young woman I would not recommend going here because Dr Newman was not professional and border line crossing the line many times during the appointment. Hope this is helpful to someone.

They truly encourage you and help you get back to your normal self. The environment is relaxed and you eventually start getting to know the other clients that are regulars too. I would recommend everyone to come here. I have gotten muscles firing that I haven't felt in a long time. I owe that to everyone here at active physical therapy Hagerstown.
