He was standing right there with here, so I said yes even though it felt awkward and I didn't know him at all. Then, I realized that he and I were the only two people in the building. In town for work. Hours of operations is 10am-8pm. I called at 3:40 to see if there were any openings, gal answered and stated they didn't have anything as of now. I said so if someone cancels may I take their spot, yes but it's unlikely. So on my way to hotel I decided to stop by at 5:10pm. No cars in parking lot and all doors to facility locked, called 4 times to no answer. Pretty shady to say the least and couldn't imagine the "quality" if this is how they do business. Where to begin. Well it was amazing to me that before a work day is over employees leave early. Hence my girl couldnt get waxed while I had a massage. Sheri my masseuse was very tentative to what what was wrong and scope of work to be done. This girl rocked me with deep tissue as I needed. One of the most important things I ask for is for my feet to be rubbed. One must have happy feet! Well this task didnt take place and was a let down I have no happy feet! This is the BEST place to get a massage. I have never had a bad experience even when who I request is not available but NEED the first spot available. They also are very in tune to things I don't say anything about. Like which leg I lean on most, which hand I work with most, and random ailments I don't think to add to my medical history! They know exactly what areas need the most work! All the rooms are well designed so you feel calm and relaxed from start to finish. They also have great skin care products I can't resist! I wanted to treat my sister who was visiting from out of town to a spa day and my usual spa was booked. We tried a Healing Touch. The Pros: Convenient location, easy appointment booking, accepted Visa credit card and aesthetician was friendly and provided a nice facial. The Cons: The suite looks like it used to be an old insurance office space, the decor was bland and did not resemble any other spas I've experienced. The receptionist was eating her lunch at the front desk and I could hear her laughing and conversing from the spa rooms. The massage therapist was super sweet and nice - and it may just be my personal preference...but the sound of twangy country music is not conducive to a relaxing, spa massage. She also took the idea of "customer service" to a new level by talking too much. I did the usual industry accepted signals for her to cease talking like not talking back, only nodding yes or no but that did't work. Technically, the massage was alright. All the staff was nice and friendly, but nice and friendly does not make for a 5 star spa experience that would make me a repeat client. I dislike being so critical but spending almost 400.00$ for myself and my sister, I think it is reasonable to expect a great experience. I'll be going back to my old spa. read more

I was thrilled when I could make a same day appointment on a day I woke up with a really bad knot on my shoulder. Massage was good and I felt great after my session. The facility was clean and nice - not a resort spa but similar in quality to other massage facilities in the area. My gripe is I did not get the first customer discount that they advertise even though it was my first time. I asked when I called to make an appointment and again when I paid but I had to pay the non-discounted price. I didn't feel like arguing so I just paid and left. I gave my son a massage today as a gift. He got 40 minutes out of the hour. He also got several derogatory and judgmental comments about his body type. He tries very hard to gain weight and has a slight build. He told me he was also asked questions of a personal nature I won't repeat. These remarks were unprofessional and so thoughtless. The facility is nice. Much better than I would have expected from looking at the outside. There is a quiet waiting area that I like. The whole place is clean and quiet. I got a 80 minute massage. Now I have gotten my fair share of massages from coast to coast. And man this was horrible. I want to say my MT's name was Ilia or something I didn't care to remember. First off her nails where way to long mid-way thru her time in my back I felt like I had razor burn on my shoulders. Which I though maybe it was just irritated, until she smeared bio freeze all over my back and it stung so bad I knew I had CUTS ALL OVER my shoulders. She asked about the pressure once with in the first 3 seconds of the massage and never checked in with me again, except when she flipped me over and asked if I needed to take a break. ( um what....?) she didn't do or focus on anything we had discussed before the treatment started. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS MY BACK HURT WORSE AFTER A MASSAGE!!!!! Kei did a great job working through tons of tight muscles. I was in town and decided to get an hour long deep tissue massage. An hour wasn't nearly long enough to work through everything. I came back the next day for two more hours. She worked very thoroughly right at the limit of how much pain I could handle. Very professional and very good visit. I have been going to A Healing Touch for massage since they were still in Bryan and have enjoyed their service. Christy was my therapist for years but unfortunately she no longer works there. Today I tried another therapist named Kara and she was great! Kara was able to locate all the crazy tight knots that really bothered me and spent good chunk of time working on them. It's a great session overall. The only reason for 4 stars in stead of 5 is because that I have problem with the Select Health Program. The program has a 3-month rolling policy which is sometimes difficult for me to keep up with my schedule. I feel agitated when losing money and not able to use the session that I paid for. Every where I travel I always manage to sneak in one massage or so. This place is has great staff members, a decent relaxed waiting lounge. They offer water or drinks and then whisk you away to your room. One thing to note, out of over 100 massages I've gotten everywhere this is the first place to require you to leave your boxers/underpants on during the massage. I always do anyway but thought it was funny they have this on the check list when you first fill out paperwork. Thinking about it further... this is a College town and I assume their are frat boys who try to get a happy ending... so I think I would agree with this rule here haha. I've been here a couple times and the tables are nice, dont creak, the temps are perfect, and the noise level is 0 unlike other salons with chatty patrons. The therapists are excellent and ask multiple times about pressure sensativity and are they doing a good job. Will be back. read more

I have been to a few massage salons around town and this one offers the best combination of cost and service. I prefer deep tissue treatments and have been to three therapists there-- 2 of the 3 were excellent. The third didn't use enough pressure regardless of direction. I highly recommend Leanna if you want a good deep tissue massage. One word of advice, if you call to schedule a deep tissue and they tell you the person they have available that day does "firm pressure" not "deep tissue", then opt to go on a different day. Their "firm pressure" therapists are nowhere near the quality of the therapists who call themselves deep tissue therapists. All in all, great bang for your buck compared to other places around town. read more

I came here for a graduation present and i absolutely enjoyed my time. I got a standard massage and a facial. The massage was amazing. I am not one for deep tissue, so this massage was nice and just right. The facial was perfect; I felt like a whole new person afterwards. A Healing Touch is by far the best in town if you are looking for either deep tissue (ask for Tina... she is AWESOME!!) or a relaxing swedish massage (or a couples massage) I searched quite a few places in town before trying this place out. The other salons that weren't snotty on the phone were either overpriced or offered subpar therapists. I've had 3 different therapists at the Healing Touch and my fiance has had 2 different therapists. ALL were very good!! The kids & I wanted to treat my wife/their mother, to a well deserved massage for her birthday. She enjoyed it & later scheduled a second appointment with same therapist. When she arrived for her scheduled appointment she was told the (female) therapist she scheduled with was not available & instead another (male) therapist would be doing her massage. She usually prefers female therapists, nail techs, doctors, etc. so decided to just cancel appointment. She was upset that she wasn't notified of the change, in advance & given the option to reschedule with original therapist. But still planned to return at a later date. Then she described an awkward encounter with the male therapist that made her uncomfortable. He was pressuring her to allow him to massage her after she made it clear that she preferred to just cancel. Best massages we've ever had! Peter and Dana were amazing. Massages were so relaxing and they didn't skimp on time like it feels like in most places. Only tip for the business is to expand your first time customer deals to couples massages (or at least clarify this). It doesn't make any sense that two individual massages would be cheaper than a couples massage given that it is only taking one room. It's not clear on the website that couples massages are excluded from the deal. If I'd known this beforehand, we would have just booked two individual massages and then asked to share a room when we arrived :). read more

I came here for a massage around finals my freshman year and was disappointed. The massage was decent, but the environment was not very relaxing. When I entered, there was pop music playing in the waiting room as opposed to your typical spa's calming or peaceful music. No biggy, though, because according to what I had read online, this massage was going to be relatively inexpensive. When I went to check out, they charged me somewhere around $15 more than what had been advertised to me before hand, though.
