I regularly receive deep tissue massages, so I am familiar with strong pressure. The issue was not the intensity, it was the technique. At multiple points, it felt like she was pressing or hitting directly on my bones rather than working on the muscles, which made the session painful and concerning. I found myself having to guide the therapist on what to do, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. I did not feel at ease at any point during the massage. Unfortunately, I am leaving with a headache and lingering pain rather than feeling relaxed. Although I was not satisfied, I still chose to leave a $5 tip.
