Today I went in because I tweaked my back got there and waited an hour before my husband who by the way had an appointment. When my husband walked in checked in 10 minutes before his appointment I thought they would do like they have done before and just put us in once it was his appointment time. It was now 15 minutes after my husbands scheduled time and a patient who had an appointment for after my husband walked in and the front desk girl don't know her name because one she is not friendly and unapproachable sent that patient directly to the room. This is uncalled for and although all my family including my father has gone here I will no longer tolerate it. If you want a place that you get seen within a reasonable time of an appointment or even wait time I would recommend going someplace else unless your schedule is completely empty. Dr might be good in fact great/amazing but service time and front office personnel could use some help!

I called to ask why this was not done the "nurse" told me it was. (I was in the drs office who requested the records) and I KNOW they were not faxed or emailed to my PC. If you can see the doctors of this practice without having to deal with the office staff, I would recommend them 100%.

As new parents, we were just too thankful that our baby was healthy--and too overwhelmed by new parenthood--to fully process what had happened. Had we been of sounder mind, had the confidence that comes with parenthood, or the financial wherewithal, perhaps we would have sued. Instead, I'm writing this review, over a year later. I am so disappointed and, oddly (or not), still scared by the experience I had. I write this now, 13 weeks pregnant with my second child. I will not be using FBC. The majority of my birth took place in the main house with only my husband there to care for me. We arrived around noon that day for Galyn to check on me. She confirmed I was 4cm dilated and said we could go to lunch in town and then return to get settled at the center. We did just that. After a day of check-ins with other patients, Galyn left the center around 5 or 6pm. She told us multiple times I'd likely give birth that night. She told us to text her when things picked up. She told us to call. My husband and I were alone for a while. We watched Seinfeld, hung out, and ate frozen mango. My parents stopped by briefly around 9:30pm to drop off food and hug us. Shortly after they left, my contractions intensified--around 10pm. We texted. We called. There was no answer. My husband texted and called multiple times--me, in the throes of labor--met with radio silence from Galyn. The assistant, Brittany, eventually responded and said Galyn was with another patient at their home. One of our biggest fears in preparing for this birth was the 1.5-hour drive to the center. We worried we wouldn't make it in time. But we arrived HOURS before active labor--and it didn't matter. The care team wasn't available. Galyn and Brittany finally arrived around 12:45am. There had apparently been phone communication issues. My son was born at 2:05am. They were present and helpful for just over an hour of my labor. And yes--when they were there, it was wonderful. But my husband and I should not have been abandoned at the birth center that night. They cited phone issues on Galyn's end. In retrospect, that truly DOES. NOT. MATTER. I was in your facility. You told me I would likely give birth that night. And you were nowhere to be found. You didn't have proper backup in place. You abandoned me. A week later, we discussed what happened with Galyn. We brought it up--she said she hadn't intended to, because she didn't want to define what was traumatic for us. As we walked through what happened, it was decidedly traumatic--and she agreed. But there was no ownership beyond a heartfelt apology. That's fine on a human-to-human level (a realm in which Galyn operates wonderfully and the reason I was drawn to her care in the first place), but I've since decided that, operationally, it's not sufficient. In rehashing the events, we learned that the patient Galyn was with was not in labor. This was extreme negligence. This was terrifying. Galyn is a wonderful human, she is meant to deliver babies -- but running a business is not her forte. Establishing proper communication, patient safety protocols, and sufficient personnel to handle multiple births is not her strength. And I deeply regret overlooking certain communication breakdowns in my prenatal care that foreshadowed the terrifying experience I ultimately went through. Most women I know who pursue unmedicated birth are looking for a calm, safe environment in which to do so. FBC did not provide that for me.

Caryn and the entire team are excellent and it may not be pretty, or painless, but they are doing an amazing job. Therapist Caryn Kadous knew I was injured and didn't say anything about it. Didn't know how to handle the situation, and when I asked for help, ignored the issues. This was one of many reasons I needed to leave and seek help elsewhere. TPT, Director-Jordan Mazick, and Caryn Kadous, need to really think about future patient care, and how they can better perform. How to better prepare and show empathy in gaining their future patience trust. When you advise the Director-Jordan Mazick of all the faults going on and Jordan Mazick particularly doesn't like it and treats you as if you didn't belong there for three years as a patient. Jordan advised me my kind didn't belong here. Not sure what this means. I live in Fair Oaks Ranch. Besides, it doesn't matter where you reside, all patience should be welcomed. BCBS requested my medical records (Twice), from Caryn Kadous and TPT of Boerne, Texas and these letters were ignored. This resulted in me obtaining these records myself as per HIPPA Law I or BCBS are allowed to obtain these records without issues. Please note I became injured at Texas Physical Therapy under the care of Caryn Kadous. An MRI, the timeline simply align with these results. This has been confirmed through my Orthopedic doctor, and my primary doctor. I have advised "all" of my doctors that TPT in Boerne, Texas is not the place they need to send their patience. I now have a frozen shoulder due to my injury working with Caryn Kadous with Texas Physical Therapy in Boerne, Texas. This injury can take anywhere from 1-3 years to heal. Mind you I did advise Caryn Kadous that I was having issues with my shoulder while I was working with Caryn and was ignored. This is "another" reason why I left TPT of Boerne, Texas. I had a perfectly healthy shoulder prior to entering Texas Physical Therapy of Boerne, Texas. I specially came here for a different reason all together. Both Jordan Mazick, and Caryn Kadous need to be re-evaluated in the ways of being a director and evaluations of caring for their patients and what to look for with injuries to their patients. I felt this was most important to have this posted as I don't want anyone else to have these issues.
