I called a few in the Melbourne area, but I didn't get a warm fuzzy from any of them. Just as I was about to drive all the way into Orlando, I came across A&S Acupuncture. I called and was pleased to discover that the doctor was a Chinese acupuncturist. In my experience, the ones that actually learned the Chinese way are usually the best. He was able to see me that afternoon, and after the session, I was able to touch my toes again. For some ailments - such as a back - it takes several sessions to restore fully mobility, and this case was no different. I just had my third session today in a 1 week span, and I can put my socks and shoes on, and TIE my laces, too! Don't plan on going out after your session though -- if your condition requires the application of those medicine patches, you're gonna STINK of chinese herbs! ha (and you should keep them on overnight) My coworker hurt his back a day after I did, and he's still hurting. At first it was purely a financial decision, since any physical ailments that are not apparent to the naked eye, would mean a doctor visit an additional X-ray, or CT scan, diagnosis, and probable pharmaceutical remedy. Since my health insurance can be summarized as catastrophic, any multiple visits would not be helpful to me and my bank account. My first visit was due to extreme neck pain and the second visit for tendonitis in the shoulder, and both problems were alleviated in one session. My third visit a few months later was due to ligament and possibly tendon damage which made driving or sitting for long period of time excruciating. The first session for the ligament/tendon problem did help but the pain did not subside to my satisfaction, again due to long term damage. A follow up session of acupuncture also included Prolotherapy, and this session provided within a few weeks almost complete painless recovery. I am very happy with the results, my body and my wallet are thankful for Jere Proctor, acupuncture and prolotherapy.
