I was a health source customer for many years. When they moved from their 34th store I switched to CVS at 222 east 34th St. I can only speak about my medications. CVS was significantly less expensive! Please do yourself a favor and check the prices you are paying. You would be surprised by how much money you can save by switching pharmacies. read more

I would normally label this 5 stars but since Evelyn and Steve aren't at this Pharmacy taking care everyone gets their meds on time, their service has really fallen short. I have had to go without meds a couple of times because this staff isn't on top of orders. That isn't cool for daily meds. The staff is always nice but they are no longer reliable like they used to be. Please bring Evelyn back and make her the head of the pharmacy. She was great. Hey Bro! After getting my pump on next door at NYSC I dropped in here to pick up a protein shake from their fridge. The dude needs his Bro-Tein to feed his hangry muscles! Bro! Small compact type of store that also serves as a pharmacy. I can't comment on that as i didn't use those services, I just wanted a protein shake out of the fridge I viewed from outside their front window. Yeah, I am a creeper in that way. As you enter you see plenty of health food items, vitamins, and protein bars on the shelves. Their fridge holds a variety of health conscious drinks and protein shakes. Decent prices. Nice and cold. Got a COVID test here at their First Ave store. They charge $65 that you have to pay before you go, and tell you you'll get information to send to your health insurance to get reimbursed. Well, we've been on the phone six times and no one is helping us. The insurance co says to call the Pharmacy (Health source). Health Source tells us to call the Lab. Is the lab the provider or is Health Source? What a mess. Plus, the Lab has no address. Not kidding! And you need it on your health insurance form. Try to find it on their website. I was very happy to move my prescriptions to a locally owned pharmacy with the closing of my Duane Reade. In the past, my experience is that these local small pharmacies usually provide superior service. Unfortunately, there was a problem with my first script fill. The prescribing doctor made a dosage error and tried to correct it after I had picked it up from my old pharmacy. I understand that with this medication that change was a tall task for HealthSource. However, rather than trying to help sort it out with my insurance or advise how to handle the situation, even if not successful, the pharmacist told me they were 'not accepting new customers for this medication'. When I asked for clarification, specifically if that means it could be an issue to fill this script even when it comes due to renew (independently of dealing with my current problem), I was told it would be. Maybe that's a real thing, but it's the first time I have ever heard it. It sounded more like an excuse to not take my business as a pharmacy client. I'll take my business elsewhere. Hands down the most consistently fast and efficient pharmacy service. I decided to come to Health Source Pharmacy because it was close to my work and I was fed up with Duane Reade wasting my lunch hours arguing over insurance and feeling like I was banging my head against the wall. It shouldn't take multiple visits and phone calls to get a simple prescription filled. I have never had any sort of issue with Health Source Pharmacy. I always walk in without calling ahead and they fill my prescription right away. Their prices are much cheaper as well and the staff is incredibly helpful. I changed jobs to another part of town and thought I would give Duane Reade one more shot for convenience sake. I wanted to fill a prescription that Duane Reade claimed didn't have a generic version and they wouldn't recommend any alternatives. They would have charged me $150 for it. I went back to Health Source Pharmacy and they recommended a similar generic for $30. I was incredibly grateful and now go out of my way to come to this pharmacy because their service is always impeccable. read more

NOT TRUST THIS PHARMACY, MUCH LESS BORIS THE OWNER. I have several medicines to be filled out here and be shipped to my home. Twice this people manage to send my medicines first to California, then to New Jersey and then DID NOTHING to fix the issue. Even do I still trusted them, but today I call because they never sent me my medicines and the Owner Boris, who violated HIPAA code by having my conversation on Speakerphone where anyone can listen, treated me POORLY. Out of nowhere BORIS stated that him or his pharmacy will not be responsible if the pills get lost ONCE AGAIN, Twice this pharmacy managed to send me medicines once to California, they did NOTHING AT ALL to helped me and I had to make multiple phone calls and spent 3 days until the medicines were returned to me and then my medicines from NY went to New jersey for some reason and once I realize they were lost, i called them and once again Boris pharmacist refuse to help. I had not spoke with Boris in the past, he was very rude with me, he told me to get another pharmacy for the next month, something that i agree with him and before I was going to say something BORIS HANG UP ON ME. I was very angry, called back and Boris at first refuse to speak, his employee was going back and forth, KNOWING THAT I AM TOTALLY DISABLED BORIS STATED THROUGH HIS EMPLOYEE THAT I MUST GO TO HIS PHARMACY IN PERSON, why I am going to do that when i have multiple pharmacies here, but since i can't go out due to my disability my Doctor recommenced them, a big mistake. So i called back due to the fact that Boris, FOR NO REASON AT ALL, was so upset with me and so angry at me so i was afraid for my health and who knows......so i decided to cancel my medicines and take it somewhere else to a pharmacy that will treat me with respect and professionalism. Also I was told that I wasn't going to be charged for shipping my medicines to me but this pharmacy charges a lot for shipping the medicines taking advantage of disabled customers who can't go out. Not sure why this owner, BORIS has this poor and cheap attitude towards his customers, he needs to learn manners. read more

This pharmacy is awesome. I moved up to Murray Hill from east village where I used Avalon Chemists (another fantastic pharmacy) and vowed I would never go back to a CVS/Rite Aid/etc. I was very pleased to find Health Source!! The pharmacist staff is very friendly and helpful, free delivery in the neighborhood, and interesting health food/personal care items if you go into the store. Highly recommend! read more

Literally the BEST pharmacy experience I have ever had! I have been using this pharmacy for over a year now and they are consistently friendly, attentive, helpful, and fill my prescriptions within 5 minutes of it being sent in/dropped off. Wouldn't fill my prescriptions anywhere else! read more
