This is a great little pharmacy. While they don't have aisles and aisles of holiday decorations and other things you don't need, they do have all the medications that you do. Oval is small in size, right next to Semicolon Cafe, but HUGE in service. Nirav, the manager, lives up to his name: knowledgeable, serene, and mindful. I've been going to Oval Pharmacy for about 2 years now. They function efficiently and smoothly, are easy to reach on the phone, and have my prescriptions quickly ready for pick-up. Moreover, the 5 stars is also because I was trying to get my prescriptions in order before leaving for a long trip. I was stressed out and super frustrated with the limitations of my NYS health insurance, and I burst into tears and totally had a melt down at the pharmacy. Even still, 1 1/2 years later, Niro and his team still treat me kindly and take care of my prescriptions monthly; and THAT'S some great customer service. read more

This is a great neighborhood pharmacy. Every time I go in they know my name and are willing to prep my last minute prescription refill request. There is one gentleman who is really phenomenal. He's very friendly and works super quickly. They've been really great. The actual store is stuffed to the brim with things but what can you expect for a tiny New York space. Oval was recommended by my doctor and because I liked they are an independent pharmacy, I have been a customers for the last several years. They are not neither friendly or rude, they just do their job and that's fine. Last time I went in to pick up my prescription I was very surprised to see that out of the 4 people behind the counter, only one was wearing a mask correctly, another one was wearing a mask under their nose, and two more people (refilling prescriptions!) had no mask at all. I also noticed they had no sanitizer available for walk-up like most businesses do nowadays, and rather then running touch-less payment transactions, I had to hand out my card to the person accepting the payment (who was wearing no gloves). I found all this to be frankly disheartening and disrespectful. I hope they would have been taking the pandemic with more consideration, not even for their own safety but for their customers' safety! I know I cannot return to them under these circumstances and will look for a new pharmacy for the time being. read more

The older pharmacian I had dealt with before was very polite, very helpful and considerate so I had a good impression of the place. Now, not so much. Best. Pharmacy. Ever. I moved to this neighborhood a few months ago and walked by this pharmacy several times before I went in to have a prescription filled. They are FAST, friendly and knowledgeable. They don't have a lot of OTC offerings, but they have the basics and they are fantastic at filling prescriptions. read more
