Dr. Nick Chretien is the best chiropractor I have seen since starting chiropractic care over 8 years ago. He is very intuitive and knowledgeable about the body. His muscle release techniques are beyond helpful and his assistants (especially Lauren and Hannah) are AMAZING!! I suffered from pectoral, back, glute, and QL pain for months due to workout injuries, but since coming here I'm on the path to recovery. Healthmatters is great full service chiropractic I have been going for adjustments for a few years-and also has reasonable massage and muscle training services available as well. I signed up for both since COVID prevented me from going to gym and I have made a lot of improvement in range of motion and feeling fit. My trainer is Rusty and he is skilled at knowing the range and limits of my abilities and never taxes my but provides a through workout including a warm up and a brief massage at the end. Experience matters and he is the best. I also get a full body massage every few weeks. I plan to keep these sessions going forward even when the gym reopens! read more

Dr Brechtel is my hero - she got me out of pain when the Orthopedic Surgeon said I needed surgery AND she's the ONLY Chiropractor that did! She's not only a fabulous Chiropractor, but also very knowledgeable about Vitamins & Supplements. Thanks to her I also got my stomach issues under control when the Gastronenterol Doc didn't help. I've been going to chiropractors since HS, and I've finally found one that I absolutely love! Dr. Brechtel and Dr. Martin have helped with every ache and pain I've had since I've been coming there (which was in July '14). They've helped me with carpal tunnel syndrome, pinched nerves in my back, my scoliosis, and even hip pain. Every staff member is friendly and it's always a pleasant experience to go. They're accommodating to your schedule, and they take health insurance! They also provide massages there, and the best ones are Marlee and Natalie....actually their all good!!! I've been a patient here for many years, as years of physically demanding work make regular alignments necessary to keep me at peak performance, but wanted to share my most recent experience as it is so remarkable. Dec. 26th, I was doing some exterior painting on my house when I over-reached and pushed the ladder out from under my feet resulting in a fall from 10-12 feet. I landed on my back, knocking all of the wind out of my sails. Besides extensive bruising along the back of my ribs, something pinched a muscle in my back that kept it partially spasmed, and when I flexed, it went into a full blown spasm that was excruciating. I went to see Dr. Martin, who had to make my adjustments with me sitting up, as I was unable to lie down without causing those horrible spasms. I saw her twice a week for 3 weeks and it was during week 3 that I was finally able to lie down. Dr. Martin was able to get a small movement from the place that was apparently pinching the muscle. It was like magic, as the muscle was released and 80% of my pain vanished! I've spoken to people who have experienced similar falls and they told me that they had 6-8 weeks of recovery. Thanks to Dr. Martin's care, I'm just over 4 weeks since I fell and am well on the mend, though I am still under her continued care. My MD, who I couldn't get in to see til 2 1/2 weeks after my fall, prescribed the usual Vicodin ( which has undesirable side effects,), a muscle relaxer, which had minimal effect, and 800 mg Ibuprofen, which helped the most. I only took 1 Vicodin, a couple of days of the muscle relaxer, and the Ibuprofen the most regularly. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to whole body care. Whether you have an injury, chronic pain, or just want to pamper yourself with a really good massage, this is the place to go. Dr. Martin is also a licensed nutritionist, as I believe most of the doctors there are. Thank you Dr. Martin for helping this 57-year-old body recover so quickly! read more

I need to share my experience with HealthMatters. this group has made all the difference in how I feel head to toe. I have been going there since about March of 2012. They have improved the quality of my life and the health of my body in so many ways that I can't write it all here. So let me say they have improved the ROM in my entire skeleton. Improved my muscle strenghth. Stopped 99% of my chronic pain in my joints, neck and lower back from arthritis. In addition they really helped get rid of my migraine headaches. They helped me recuperate from a Total Hip Replacement last summer. I did all of the prescribed physical therapy at Healthmatters with Ann their expert Physical Therapist. Due to all their expert knowledge, I am walking without problems, even though I am a little uneven after the surgery. I also had severe diverticulis episodes as a result of being on powerful antibiotics after surgery, and was very sick. Dr. Martin and Dr. Bectal (a nutritionist) put me on probiotics, a good nutrition regimen, and helped re-establish normal digestion when my "uptown specialist" did not not suggest anything when I called them for help. One of the big reasons I go here, is if I have a problem, they work on it immediately, and I always go home feeling better than when I arrived. Try this group!!!
