My husband, who is African American, has been given the run around for the last few months with a back ordered medication from Meds. We've shared his story with other patients who are clients of Meds and his treatment is not consistent with their treatment. He is not an Upper East Sider as are the majority of their patients and he has been treated differently from this staff. I do not feel that I need to speak for him, until today when he made another (5 in total) follow up call to get the status of the back ordered medication and was abruptly hung up on when he pointed out a discrepancy in the back ordered dates. This young lady that he spoke with needs to be reprimanded for her actions. This incident happened on 3-12-26 at 1:30 pm. He did not get her name since they would not take his calls afterwards. We consider this a personal incident that may be attributed to his ethnicity. One never knows these days in today's political environment. Our colleagues and clients that use Meds have never had a problem with their customer service and the ones we spoke with also feel that this is personal as well. He has been hesitant to say anything about his experiences with Meds since he is not one for pointing out mistreatment. It is apparent that he is being mistreated by giving him the runaround in order to frustrate him so that he would go elsewhere. I've seen this tactic before. I am the vocal one and he does not know that I am writing this, but I am doing this on his behalf. This is unacceptable and unfortunate but needs to be called out. I hope that the owner Yuhan Ave sees this and takes corrective measures going forward. In the meantime, Meds will not have to worry about my husband stepping foot in their establishment. Instead you stand there and then you have to say loudly, "hello?", just to get one of the TWO people at the counter to look up from their phones. This is the only pharmacy that provides a compound prescription I need according to one of my doctors but I loathe coming here. Yes, I have tried the delivery option but BOTH TIMES they had my address wrong in the system and BOTH TIMES they gave the delivery driver the wrong apartment number in my building. When I corrected it with the pharmacy, the delivery service did not double check or update it on their end so they sent it to the wrong apartment unit again. I asked them to redeliver it to the correct unit and because the delivery driver didn't want to get in trouble and ask for a refill of the same prescription they refused. So now, I have to take off of work to go in during their very INCOVENIENT hours to argue in person with the counter. Nine times out of ten they don't speak up and they can't spell, it seems, because after giving my name and date of birth THREE TIMES they claim that they do not have me in the system. Today they asked me if I am new despite seeing me come in every single month. Then, when I finally got the prescription, the young woman snatched it back to me and said it needs to be mixed. Umm, I don't know what that means; do I need to mix it at home each time before applying it to my skin? Is it a solution that I shake? I stared at her, she stared back at me. I finally said, can you please explain? She said they need to mix it in the back on site at the pharmacy. So I had to spend even more time waiting. Hire and train competent staff. Be friendly. Update your system.

Unfortunately their expiration date is just several months from now, and meanwhile each bottle has 250 pills (admittedly the suggested dosage is 3 pills at-a-time, but still....). There's no way we'd consume anywhere near 500 of those pills by their expiration date, so I wanted to exchange them for bottles that have a more reasonable expiration. Today I had to be just one block from this store for a medical appointment, and fortunately there were (only) two bottles available - and their expiration date was *much* more generous. I went to the cashier's counter, and the cashier explained that she needed to have a supervisor handle the exchange (and I'd brought my receipt with me). The shift supervisor was inexplicably *nasty*, and from the very beginning. Meanwhile; she told me she couldn't do an "even exchange" because the flavor was different than the ones I'd purchased (?!) - so she said I'd have to return the ones I'd bought and then purchase the other ones. I told her that I'd used a discount coupon when making the purchase, whereas a "new" purchase would *not* provide the discount. She continued being nasty and suddenly disappeared, and then she *finally* reappeared many minutes later. At that point she told me she'd confirmed with the store manager what she'd told me - but she should have had the courtesy to at least tell me why she was suddenly leaving, and her nastiness was totally inexcusable. Now I'm going to contact the CVS Customer Service Department, but I shouldn't have to waste so much time re: this situation - and most importantly, CVS shouldn't have an employee who's so nasty. (The only reason why I'm giving two stars instead of one is because a very pleasant employee helped me find the location of the pills).

Escalator to upper level is where you'll find the pharmacy, bathroom and bathing needs, cleaning supplies, vitamins, and personal use items, etc. ATM machine was out of order. If you're looking for a bottle of cold water skip the Poland Spring for almost $3 a small bottle and go to the back fridge where you can find their own Well Market brand for $1.19 a bottle same size.

This time nothing was going on. Came over again on Thursday and they said most of the refill amount is available, but not all and suggested to either fill partially or wait one more day if everything arrives or take a partial refill. However the next day they filled a wrong medication and stated that they already has no any amount of the correct one, and promised to reorder it again by Monday. Update, so it's Monday, the Pharmacy did not order anything as they promised on Friday again. However found one month supply in stock, despite the Friday shift manager claimed they had nothing. It seems to depend on particular staff on shift. Some shifts are better than others.
