I've been to about 6 different massage centers. About half of them were from malls. I never expected this place to be so good; I thought I'd get a generic rub on the back or something. Well, I had a shoulder problem and needed a good massage and informed a lady named Isabel at the counter. She then made every effort to honestly set my expectations for how to handle my shoulder issue and that I may need a little more time/visits to fully resolve it. Still, I'm not from the area and wanted to at least get a good short session in on my way to my relatives place. With the short 25-minute timeframe I gave her, she did like 12 different techniques on my shoulder that painlessly (for such a deep massage) adjusted the blood flow and fixed some very tight/inflamed muscles in deep regions of my shoulder. Needless to say I was worried going in, but when she worked on me I knew she knew what she was doing... and immediately after I had much more range of motion of my shoulder. Now (days after), I have no pain at all (of course I'm taking it easy still to make sure it recovers fully), but I can't say enough for how much she helped me! I can't speak for each of the massage people there, but Isabel did an absolutely wonderful job and I would highly recommend her. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, I stopped by this place after visiting The Puma store again. I saw this place last Saturday and say one of the woman sitting on one of the chairs looking extremely bored. The store is very spacious and well decorated from what I saw. The room has two seating areas incase the black chairs...no sofas are occupied. The second seating area is a long green bench that travels a good ways into the massage areas. If you are sitting on one of these green benches, you will see one at least one masseur or one masseuse massaging a client. The massage rooms are open ended so you will see who is doing what to you. If you wish to undress to your boxers, think again. Guys, you might be able to remove your shirt, but that is a gamble. The men I saw here looked bored and unhappy. The dude I met with glasses looked like he could give two shits about anything. The back massage I got from him for ten minute massage I received reflected the attitude and expression on his face. I give him a one star rating. Maybe I caught him on a bad day. Maybe it was just s fluke. I decided to try another ten minutes with someone else. Enter Lady M. Lady M. Looked bored at her job too, but she seemed to smile and look happy later on. The Dude with glasses told her he had massaged my back already, a long with something else I did not catch. From Lady M's first touch on my body, she knew what the hell she was doing. I will daily now that the man's touch and the woman's touch felt completely different. The man had strength in his hands along with bigger hands, but with no skill. (At least that is how it felt for me at that time) Lady M' hands were small and very warm. From the get go, her hand pressing on my back felt right. It felt like I was being pampered and was sad to run out of time. TIME!...speaking of time it is 3:21am in the morning... Anyhow, I after the first 30 seconds into Lady M's massage, I increase my massage time by five more minutes. I would have gone longer, but I had to go home and get ready for work. I will remember Lady M and will most likely come back on Monday. We will have to see. If I do return and Lady M isn't there or she is Busy, you my try Lady Q. I am not so sure about the men.... Oh, by the way, if you hear kid's songs like "I love you, you love me or Bannas in Pajamas walking down the stairs," you should know there is a kids playroom next door and you will hear them most likely through the wall. Got a 1 hour massage here on a weekday. I originally asked for 30 minutes but it was so good that once the 30 minutes was up I asked them to do another 30 minute. You keep your clothes on here, which I liked. When you go to a spa for an hour massage, you really only get 50 minutes because 5 minutes is for taking your clothes off and another 5 is for putting your clothes back on. You don't have to worry about that here so you get a massage for the full 60 minutes. They take you to one of their tables and you lay face down, clothes on. The guy worked my back, arms, legs, and neck. He flipped me over and took my socks off, then gave me a foot massage with oil. Very nice. At the end he sat me up and stretched my back. Tried other Healthwise locations and had better experiences. Went for a 40 min massage for lower back and feet since my current work gig requires some physicality for a number of hours. Some parts of the experience were okay, then other parts were painful. Breathing at times was stifled when the guy was focusing on my upper back. He even poked me with the elbow. Ouch. After the massage, he requested a 20% tip and proceeded to show me via calculator what he should receive. Uhh, no. Not even close. read more

I feel very uncomfortable while the male was giving me a massage as he put a lot of emphasis on my butt. I'm not exactly sure if that's normal but I don't think it is. I'll never get another massage again. He put A LOT of attention on my butt and legs. He focused on my butt and legs more than he did on my back. I do not recommend. read more

My daughter and I was treated to a 30 min full body massage here!! It's one of those massage places where you keep your clothes on, so make sure you wear something comfy. First time here And let me tell you... I had knots and tense spots I never knew I had til I came here! My massage was amazing! I was really relaxed. The atmosphere is very quiet and helps you become relaxed and at ease. My daughter actually fell asleep during hers. Everyone there is super friendly. I can't look over my shoulder when driving without a shooting pain in my neck. I have had headaches every day! I went from being a healthy woman, who yoga's 4 days a week, do not being able to put my purse on my shoulder, and have not been able to workout for a week now! I will have to see my doctor as every morning when I wake up the pain is worse. The massage technician obviously damaged a nerve in my neck, and it is not healing. Okay the first time I went I convinced 2 of my friends to go because I was curious and didn't want to do it alone. We were in pain and not in a good way. We all 3 had men....not that it should matter. Out of desperation from hard workouts and limited funds, I decided to give it another try....there I met my favorite therapist. I only did 15 minutes my first visit - but now I take the 30 minutes for $30.00 and even the one hour option. Even without me telling her what parts need extra attention - she knows and works my shoulders or lower back. If you go longer than 30 minute you can expect more a Eastern Massage were you are almost doing calisthenics! I got a workout buddy to go with me and she loved it as well. I like to get massages frequently and $100.00 massages are still a treat but for more frequent, frugal way to get a great massage this is the place. 1/2/17 ,it was a Christmas gift from my friend. So the three of us girls received a one hour full body massage. This was my first time there, I've had many massages in the past from other places, but this was my first with all your cloths on. When I said they massage every where I mean every were down to the toes. Mines was a deep tissue and the young girl was petite, but did a great job. Also im use to having a private room, music, a little more quiet environment, as suppose to been in an open area were u can see the person across from u. I love this place. They do acupressure and reflexology massages. Most of the massage therapists are pretty good, particularly for the price. I sometimes go to the mall just for this massage. The prices are very affordable, which allows me to get massages more often. Until recently, it was $25/half-hour and $50/hour, and you could even come for just a few minutes or stay for an hour-an-a-half. They have raised the prices to $30/half-hour and $60/hour, and only have the cheaper prices as "lunch time" specials, but regardless that's still a good price and even after tip it's not like you're breaking the bank to get a massage. There are typically a lot of massage therapists there so the wait time is pretty short. It is the type of massage where you keep your clothes on, so it's better to wear appropriate comfortable clothing for getting a massage. No, it's not the foo foo spa massage experience - but you're not paying for that. You're paying for an affordable acupressure massage. read more

Today I went to Healthwise for the third time and it was so AWESOME. For an hour, it is only $55. I feel like they really work hard for their money. I like strong massages and this place provides the best massage in NOVA for me. If you don't have enough fat/muscles, you're gonna suffer. But if you like strong massage like I do, this place is gonna be heaven for you. Providers don't speak English very well but I like that you don't really have to talk. You walk in and you tell them how long you want the massage to be and they escort you to a table. The "rooms" are not private, there's only curtains separating you from other clients. You get a massage with your clothes on. This is truly a no-frill place and I like that. If you like fancy and quiet massages, this place is not for you. I would advise going to Healthwise on weekdays anytime. There's less customers, less kids shouting at the mall, and massages are better. On weekends, I felt the massage was rushed and the providers were busy talking to each other. There's more kids screaming and crying at the mall too and you can clearly hear them. This place is amazing. I go all the time and have never received anything but the best service. They are very kind and don't rush you. Please remember this is a trigger point massage so the pressure is going to be heavy. Its totally different then a Swedish massage, which I think is a great thing. There price is such a great value. I have been to many different spas and massage places but healthwise is by far my favorite. You get great service with an extremely fair price.
