Service was wonderful, they put labels with ingredients on your boxes as well as give you a full menu w allergens listed. They really do a good job of making you aware of what's in their food - as well as what's not! I hate that I have to preface this by saying that a "3" means "OK"; it's not indicative of a bad thing/place/experience. Also, this is a vegan review. I was in this area for work and was looking for some gluten free vegan sweets. It appeared that Healthy Body Bakery could satisfy that craving, as they cater to those with dietary restrictions. It's a small business, tucked behind the main street-facing businesses of a building. I was warmly greeted upon entry. They only had one gf vegan cake option on the day that I went (vanilla cake with vanilla icing), but they had several gf cupcakes and muffins available. I grabbed a cake slice (for half off!) and a cupcake. VANILLA CAKE SLICE Vegan and gluten free vanilla cake and vanilla icing. The cake was moist and the taste was ok to a seasoned vegan. What I mean by that is, for decades I've watched (and tasted) as the vegan food game evolved. Back in the 90s, vegan vanilla cake had this same beige/light brown color and flavor. So I actually knew what it would taste like before I even bought it, based on the color. However, it did not taste gluten free and that is a flex. The icing was slightly lighter than a buttercream icing, but definitely not a whipped cream icing. For people who don't like "too sweet", this icing would be perfect for you. It was sweet without the sugar rush. I would love to see them improve on their vegan vanilla cake though. If they can get it to that light and fluffy yellow vanilla color, they'd join the dozens of awesome vegan bakers across the country who've mastered this feat. MANDARIN ORANGE CUPCAKE A tasty orange flavored cupcake with the same aforementioned vanilla icing. It was moist; it did not have that typical grainy gf texture or dry gf taste. It was a very good cupcake. I believe they also have a peach gf vegan cake in their rotation. If I was in the area again, I'd definitely return to try that peach flavor. read more

U called around to a few places and located this shop that offer keto cakes and cheesecakes. I was happy the shop had a strawberry cheesecake available for my husband's birthday. This shop is an hour away from me but it was worth the trip given the level of service provided. The team knew I would stop in later that evening so they had it waiting for me in the cooler. The cheesecake did not have any decorations or icing so I will have to probably request that. So I managed to ice the cheesecake with keto icing and strawberries. I love that they transparently list every ingredient in their delicious baked goods on their website. The black cocoa muffin is rich and has the perfect texture. So I stopped by late on Saturday for a cake to serve for a birthday on Sunday, one of those customers!! They were so helpful and put together exactly what I wanted at the last minute, superior customer service. The most important moment was when we served the cake, it was incredible. I don't like sweets and I had a whole piece which my family said was a first. The cake was perfect and the frosting had the perfect sweetness. We also bought a few muffins to serve with breakfast. Tried 6 different flavors and everyone raved but my favorite was the Lemon Citrus. I've attached a picture, sorry I didn't think about taking one before we dove in but you can see the deliciousness and why we couldn't wait. Got a cupcake the other day, and ordered a birthday cake, I'm diabetic and lactose-intolerant, so I was pleased to find somewhere that could provide a cake to deal with those issues. Service was superb ~ pleasant, helpful and humorous. The cake was dark chocolate with a great crumb, moist and good chocolate flavor. Very rich, three layer with white frosting. The frosting texture was excellent. It was supposed to be orange. The actual taste was so subtle that it was dominated by the saltiness so faddish with modern tastes. I'm not a fan. I was floored when I stepped into this little spot. I was pleasantly surprised that Goodlettsville has a place dedicated to different health needs and bodies. Peggy from Madison Creek Farms recommended this place and that's how I found out about it. The location is a bit hidden but it's very charming and the people are so friendly inside and I'm glad that they offered free masks to anyone needing one inside. I noticed all staff were wearing masks which is great, however, customers aren't enforced as much which I found a bit concerning. This bakery is centered around providing desserts and tasty treats made with really healthy ingredients, so you can still nibble on something sweet and not feel guilty about it. I loved that the owner and all staff are welcoming and make education and awareness a huge point of the visit. Since it was my first time here, I got to learn about how no white flour is used in any of their products - they use ancient grains! I believe they use "dark rye berries" grains in most of their baked goods. Where does their sweetness come from? It comes from stevia, raw sugar, and other high-quality sweeteners...can I just say how much I admire their commitment to making sure all their ingredients are high quality? I ended up getting 1 slice of the keto peanut butter cheesecake and 2 muffins - 1 lemon citrus and 1 apple spice. The cheesecake I was told was made with stevia and was $4.50. I haven't had many desserts with stevia and it was very creamy and the peanut butter was nutty and delicious. I was able to taste a little bit of the stevia in it but the aftertaste wasn't severe. I really enjoyed the muffins which were around $3.50 each, especially the apple spice flavor. You can feel a little bit of the texture of the grain in both of them which is different from muffins I've had before. So it felt healthy but satisfying and hit that sweet spot. I also really appreciated that the muffins were the right amount of sweetness, not too sweet. I would go back to try another cheesecake or their brownies next time I'm in Goodlettsville. It is a little pricey compared to a traditional bakery, but I definitely think they are innovative and offer alternatives to traditional baked goods and is great for anyone wanting to get closer to more raw ingredients while adding a little sweetness in their life. read more

So got a bunch of keto stuff to try and the couple things i've tasted are amazing. Tried the keto puffs and the keto peanut butter cookies and both scratched that sugar itch I was looking for. I got some of the keto cheesecakes as well but do not expect them to be any less than amazing as well. Also one thing I noted as the price. Since I cannot have sugar I know to always expect high prices for sugar free stuff that's not commercially made BUT was pleasantly surprised and the very reasonable prices here as well.
