I visited this bakery on a whim. The lovely lady in front took her time and told me everything they had available. I got a peach tres leches and a Nutella tree leches...DELICIOUS!!!!! I pick up My Granddaughter's 1st Birthday Smash Cake and Cupcakes. They were so adorable. They were the Star at the Birthday Party. The cake and cupcakes were so moist and the icing was the best that I have ever had. Everyone kept talking about how the cake and the cupcakes were the best that they have ever had. Delicious and recommend going! I got some cake slices for my friends birthday and it was enjoyed! The only reason I rated this 4 instead of 5 stars is that I will say it's a definitely little more pricey than some of the panaderías I have been too! The woman didn't speak English, so I was unable to get directions or find the bakery. From now on I am going to call bakeries before driving 30 minutes to get to them. 4-25-2024 We moved 7 years ago to Hendersonville and NEVER knew that this sweet GEM of a bakery was just about 4 miles from me. I had been driving to a Panaderia (Hispanic Bakery) about 8 miles away in a shopping center. I LOVED their items, However after finding Pan Stars here in Hendersonville last week I was in sweet tooth Heaven. It is off the beaten track, but just google the address and it will take you to this small bakery that's in with other small businesses in this long strip mall area . They had all the items I was familiar with from the other bakery, BUT OH SO MUCH MORE I never knew existed, nor had tried. Well I went wild filling up my cafeteria style tray with the tongs you're given. There were numerous breadsI bought, and the fried turnovers filled with pineapple, apples, blueberry, kiwis, and other flavors were delicious slightly warmed the next morning for breakfast. I LOVE the fun decorated thick sugar cookies they always have especially the smiley face ones decorated in red . I can never pass up the flavored concha's also known as pan Dulce. I'm returning this week to try 3-4 pieces of their beautifully and delicious cake slices they sell. The lady that helped me was cordial, didn't speak a lot of Spanish, but enough English we could communicate. The bakery was extremely clean, and under each item is the name and what it's like. I did ask her about a couple of items I wasn't too sure how sweet they might be, since Mexican breads aren't real sweet, just sweet enough, and she was very helpful. I bought a cone shaped item that was filled with fluffy cream that was between a lemon and vanilla flavor, different, but...... oh so yummy. Now to decide which day this week I'll be getting those cake slices including the Red Velvet hubby and I both love. This place is awesome. I didn't grow up with Mexican pastries so I can't say if they are authentic or whatever. I can tell you they are great. Got some churros and cream cheese pastries that were to die for. Will definitely return for more. The lady working there was extremely nice and readily admitted her English was limited but she did a great job helping me with the IPad. read more

Wow!!! I wish I had known about this place before today. We purchased three different pastries for less than $8. All were excellent and a larger portion than expected. This place is a gem. It's only off the Main Street by one block. Definitely give them a try. read more

Pro: This place is a great stop for cake and sweet bread. Con: Don't expect much about the atmosphere, it's so quiet in the store and the woman working there hardly said a word; your on your own the moment you walk in. Perhaps adding culture to the atmosphere would create a pleasant experience, instead of feeling like I just stepped into the back door of a bakery kitchen.
