Given the relatively low price (compared to massage or private acupuncture - I had to give it a try. The treatment itself (applying the pins) doesn't hurt at all. And what I absolutely love is the relaxing environment - plush, huge leather recliners; dim lighting; soft music; and a feeling of safety and wellness. I worked right by here and would come over lunch. It was heaven. Unfortunately, it didn't help and the office moved downtown. I don't really live by this or the other location so I stopped treatment. Skip forward - after an MRI gave me the real diagnosis (hamstring) - and too much yoga (if there is such a thing) has kicked my pain into high gear, I decided to start up treatment again - if nothing else as part of my self care. Well-being treatment. The technician I see at this location is the same. But now I also visit the other location - depending on what is available on the schedule. Both are great places with equally soothing treatment rooms and skilled staff. I'm actually headed there now for my weekly treatment. And goodness - while progress is not fast or great, it is helping. And I love the 30-40 minutes of heaven I get. I highly recommend you try it!!

I have been a regular ever since and can't say enough about the high level of care I receive at both the Westerville and Clintonville offices. The practitioners are experienced and kind. They've been able to make this needle-phobe quite comfortable with the process. Improvement did not happen overnight. It was slow and steady, with a hiccup every now and then. But being able to live the active lifestyle to which I am accustomed during my senior years means a great deal and the good folks at UAC have made that possible. The space is rather simple but welcoming and very clean. In the massage room it was dimly lit (but not dark by any means) and there was some soft music playing in the background. The table had a warmer, which was wonderful because I am always cold! Although I sometimes enjoy aromatherapy there were no overwhelming herbal smells... which often cause headaches. Visually speaking the space is very warm and welcoming... nicely put together to aid in relaxation. I had the pleasure of meeting/ receiving a massage from Dru. She was very kind and thoughtful, she took her time in talking with me and I didn't feel rushed... she truly listened. The massage itself was one of the best I have ever received! I walked away feeling less stressed and very mellow. She was able to relieve a lot of tension and soreness. She applied the level of pressure required to relax my muscles and never too much. I've gotten massage here years ago and it was just ok because the temperature in this place is pretty cold so it wasn't as relaxing as I wanted. Kristin, the Hydrotherapist is always super nice, professional, personable and informative. I've been going to her on and off for about 4-5 years and I love it. She loves what she does and see educates you beyond the basics of the hydrotherapy process. She uses an open system which means totally natural flow. She provides a magnesium spray that is followed by a direct heater to the stomach area. That promotes a better cleanse. Also a massager to help loosen bowl in intestine area. Brigitta was awesome in explaining things as we went (I've only done acupuncture 1 other time), very knowledgeable about her field and personable to boot. I was impressed with the technology that they use for the evaluation and all her numbers came back pretty close to how I feel. She was thorough during the acupuncture process and I did feel very relaxed during the process. For the cupping, well, I wish I'd researched it before I went in. Not to say it was bad, just unexpected! She does fire cupping but thankfully I felt like I was in good hands and could trust her. The "massage" was pretty comfortable feeling - similar to a deep tissue massage! She did warn me that I would have marks (I bruise easily) but I wasn't quite prepared for how my back looked that evening. But I did feel that it helped "melt" away some of my tension in my upper back so that's a good thing. Their office space was inviting, clean and soothing. It's not the most convenient of locations for me and the prices are a little higher than I can justify at the moment for something that was recommended for me to get done every week (I have migraines), however they do offer discounts if you purchase multiple at once, so it's at least an attempt to make it affordable!
