I've been getting massages for nearly 20 years, and Jenn has been my massage therapist for over 8 of them. Even though I have to drive over an hour and a half round trip to see her, it's well worth it. I'd follow her anywhere. She is THAT good. I've tried well over a dozen massage therapists over the years, but Jenn is BY FAR the most talented and thorough. She has almost a 6th sense about which muscles are tight and how to get them to relax. I'm a difficult client in the sense that I'm not there for relaxation; I utilize Jenn to help with pain from old injuries and severe migraines. She tailors each session to my individual needs at that time. She has this uncanny ability to assess the body and target problem areas, then relaxing the entire body. No one can beat her hip and neck work. I actually didn't even know that I'd never had my neck and hips effectively massaged until I met Jenn. It was unbelievable the difference just 1 session with her made! I do not know where or exactly how much training she has received, but it must be extensive because she uses techniques I've never seen before in all my years and experience with different therapists. There've been times over the years where I've needed to see Jenn and she's been booked, so I've gone to see another massage therapist. I always regret that decision and call to schedule an appointment to see Jenn ASAP anyway. Jenn's rates are very competitive as well, and she has an awesome personality (so that's obviously a plus, too.) The environment is very comfortable - if you feel like chatting, she's really funny and easygoing. But if you just want to relax and have kind of a "zen" atmosphere, she will give you the peace and quiet during your massage that you want as well. I have NEVER had a deep tissue massage as amazing as what I've experienced at Modality! For the past few months, I've been ramping up my workout routine in preparation for a bucket-list hike, which has brought my attention to some areas of tension that are holding back my fitness progress. I tried massages at some of the big franchises, but found them to be pretty hit or miss (mostly miss) in terms of professionalism and effectiveness. We've had the extreme pleasure of having Jen as our massage therapist for both my wife and me for a few years now! The interesting thing is I'm forever ruined on getting massages or therapy from anyone else! Jen's in-depth knowledge of both the anatomy and physiology of the human body greatly impress me (I have a double major in chemistry and biology with pre-med focus) and I very much enjoy the focused approach and care she gives in her preventative and healing sessions. Jenn is simply amazing!!! I cannot say enough good things about her, and her absolute "gift" of massage therapy. I have had MANY massages over the years, and Jenn, by far is the best. Jenn is amazing! Her therapeutic approach to massage is very effective. She is very precise and controlled in her massage delivery and really "listens" to the response of the muscle tissue. Johnny is a fantastic massage therapist. He is professional, and really knows what to do to alleviate pain. My shoulders are a constant source of frustration as they are always tight or fatigued from weightlifting. Johnny knew exactly how much pressure to apply to get rid of most tension I had in between my shoulder blades- and in other places I didn't realize I had tension in. My neck, back, and chest! He also had really insightful advice about how to achieve a calm state of mind. Unbelievable. Got off a red eye from California (where I have had a ton of body work done) and scheduled a 90minutes deep tissue with Jen. Not only is her new space warm and inviting, she is magic... Truly. She worked me in ways I have never been worked. She listened, and intuitively knew exactly what I needed. SOOOOOO impressed. Only bad part is that I live in California and will likely never have another massage like this one. My wife referred me to Jenn. She's been going to her for years, and was constantly telling me I needed to make an appointment. I have a history of shoulder impingement (both shoulders) and severe sciatica. Jenn was attentive to what I had to say with regard to problem areas and was terrific in working out my pain. Jenn is awesome!! Jenn is very knowledgeable with all the muscles in the body. She takes her time when she gives a massage and will answer any questions you have. After having kids, my back was hurting and I was having trouble walking and Jenn helped loosen up my muscles. After a long battle with a herniated disc, Jenn was able to loosen up my back and hips in a way that was not achieved through physical therapy and chiropractic services. Amanda was super friendly and listened to the issues I was having and then told me her plan for the massage. She let me know everything that would be going on in the room as she was massaging. She used the perfect amount of pressure and told me to let her know if I need any adjustments during the massage. She gave me the left over lotion she used on me to take home. I have had massages by many, but this by far is on another level. I only get deep tissue, and she has been the first to really relieve the pain and knots in my back.
