Where to start! This place is NOT a spa so don't expect a lot of "add- on" options or an over decorated, over stimulating, busy space. The space is rather simple but welcoming and very clean. In the massage room it was dimly lit (but not dark by any means) and there was some soft music playing in the background. The table had a warmer, which was wonderful because I am always cold! Although I sometimes enjoy aromatherapy there were no overwhelming herbal smells... which often cause headaches. Visually speaking the space is very warm and welcoming... nicely put together to aid in relaxation. I had the pleasure of meeting/ receiving a massage from Dru. She was very kind and thoughtful, she took her time in talking with me and I didn't feel rushed... she truly listened. The massage itself was one of the best I have ever received! I walked away feeling less stressed and very mellow. She was able to relieve a lot of tension and soreness. She applied the level of pressure required to relax my muscles and never too much. After X-rAYs, a MRI, 10 PT sessions the pain in my leg only got worse! Results were concluded that there was no sign of anything that warranted the pain I was describing. They recommended an injection in both hips, I had an injection back in September and after a month the pain was back. A retired Podiatrist highly suggested I find an experienced massage therapist before I did anything invasive. I started my search and could not believe I found Dru 5 mins. from my home AND she was a LPN! I bookedd an apointment and was feeling very optimistic. She spent 15 mins going over everything and listened very intently, asking questions as we talked. After one hour, I have no burning pain in my leg! Still some pain but certainly not like it was. I went or my first ever massage at the direction of my primary care physician. I saw Susan and she made me feel so relaxed. She asked a few questions and then went to work. She heated my bed, allowed me to change and then got to work starting with cupping and deep tissue massage. Due to some trauma that I recently went through I was very tight and she was great about. Therapeutic Concepts is small, just two therapists, but booking online was quick and easy, no sacrifice in convenience in order to support a small business! Celena was warm, friendly, and did an amazing job with my deep tissue massage. I wanted firm pressure, and she definitely delivered on that, but was great about checking in with me on how I was feeling and if I had any particular issues. I'm a curious person (aka nerd) and she was also super informative about what she was doing and answered any questions I had. I felt great afterwards, and the price was definitely right for the quality of service! I had my first ever massage last week - and I just booked another for next month! While I can't speak as a massage expert, I can say with certainty that my experience at Therapeutic Concepts was awesome. It was really easy to book my appointment online - and it only took a few minutes. When I showed up, I was little nervous because I wasn't sure what to expect. The facility is small, but easy to find. Celena and Susan were both there to greet me. I filled out some simple paperwork and talked to Celena about my problem areas. She escorted me into the massage room, which was very serene, cozy, and clean. I got ready and snuggled up on the heated massage table, and I swear - I felt more relaxed already! I opted for a Swedish massage and Celena did a fantastic job from my head to my toes! It was an hour of bliss. I am really looking forward to my next appointment. Oh! I was looking for a new massage place near home and found this place. First the pros: Susan was nice and asked good questions to figure out what I was looking for, the place was quiet, I was greeted promptly, the prices were reasonable, and I left feeling like my muscles are much less tense. Now the cons: Susan told me to undress and lay on the table and she'd be right back, well she left me laying there for about five minutes and when she came in she smelled like cigarettes (after I specially noted I have sensitivity to smells). Then she proceeded to talk and ask a ton of questions while she was massaging me. Also, I felt like there wasn't a "flow" to the massage and it felt sort of disjointed (including times she would pause the massage taking her hands off me to gesture in the air for her stories she was telling me). I don't feel like it was a bad massage, but it was weird and I'm not sure I would return there. read more

I had high hopes, and the massage therapist was really nice and friendly. I stated my goal was to relax and requested medium pressure. Certain areas were given medium pressure, but a lot - including my neck - were given very firm pressure, to the point where it was painful. Although I left feeling okay, later that evening my neck, shoulders, and leg hurt a lot from the pressure.
