Dr. Lassee was very informative and took two hours with us. I felt very heard and taken care of. She has all the state of the art exam equipment. The glasses are at the end of the experience, and we had such a good time trying them on. I have never had glasses, but needed them. I am so happy with the ones I picked. She carries gorgeous frames and goes above and beyond to find the right pair to fit your face shape, personality, and style. Like contact lenses instead? She carries special fit and hard to find contact lenses. I never thought with how high my astigmatism is that I would ever be able to wear daily contact lenses, other optometrists told me as much, but she carries them. The eye exams she administers have high end equipment and you'll be given preventative recommendations based on your results. For instance, she recommended I incorporate omega 3s in my diet and get an inflammatory panel and my estrogen checked with my PSP, because I have extremely dry eyes for my age. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience like others that have commented. I sent an email to schedule an appointment for my daughter and me (new patients). I received a response that they do not except children on Saturdays. I responded that my daughter is not a child, she's a young adult and they said in response to that that she needs to make her own appointment. I wrote back letting them know that my daughters schedule is crazy and I would like to schedule her for an exam. They declined. That was a first for us and unfortunate. So this means that if you want to get your elderly parent in, or someone that may be in a position not to speak you're not allowed to call Lynn and make an appointment for them. read more

I visited Dr. Lasee for a long overdue eye exam. I hadn't had my eyes checked since I was a child. I noticed over the last few years my vision had gotten progressively worse needing to hold my phone closer to my face. Being only 30, I assumed this was from eye strain sitting at the computer all day. How wrong I was. Within the first few minutes of the appointment, I was diagnosed with keratoconus, a rare progressive corneal disease. Dr. Lasee educated me on the disease and treatment options, including recommending I see an ophthalmologist for possible corneal cross-linking surgery. In any case, thankfully Dr. Lasee was able to provide me with a pair of super comfortable scleral lenses, which are absolutely necessary for me to see properly. Two weeks later after I've fought with learning how to insert them, I can no longer tell I'm wearing them until they need rewetting. I'm so thankful for the ease of the fitting process and the custom fit of these lenses. From what I understand, this is something difficult to get right. I was curious to learn more about these lenses, and from what I can tell anyway, they're one of the best options available on the market: Atlantis Scleral by X-Cel. One major feature is how accurately they can be fit to each individual, offering 3 degrees of adjustment to the sclerals' geometry. They can also be coated with Hydra-PEG for increased wettability and comfort. While I need the sclerals to see properly, I also bought a pair of glasses for early mornings and late nights. She had a wonderful selection of high-end frames to choose from and worked with the shape of my face and color preferences to find something I really liked. Really a one-stop shop! Fellow scleral lens wearers, look no further. Highly recommended if you need something special. I don't write many (any) yelp reviews, but I thought others should hear my experience. I'm not confident if I had happened to go to another optometrist, I would have had such a great experience for something so vitally important. read more

I wish I could leave ZERO stars! Please do NOT consider this office or Doctor if you're in the Arizona Area. I have full coverage eye insurance, with frame and prescription benefits. During my appointment I brought my own frames and just needed an updated prescription. At the end of my appointment she tried convincing me that my prescription insurance wasn't valid, (Which it was; it had been 2 years since my last visit in a different office) and that the appointment & lenses would cost me OVER $500! In addition, after repetitively explaining to Dr. Lasse that I did not want contact lenses she insisted that I "just try them on" while in her office. After doing so I still explained, no I do not want them or want to pay for them. At the end of my appointment she charged me a $60 fee for a "contact fitting" even though I NEVER took any home with me. Terrible terrible doctor! Doesn't listen to patient concerns, and pushes her own agenda to unfairly charge people. She is full of s**t with her made up fees, an her work is SLOPPY. Do not waste your money on this awful establishment! However if you do, bring some earplugs because her baby screams in the next room over the entire time! Giant waste of time and money, I WILL NEVER RETURN. I have since visited another eye doctor and was explained that my insurance is FULLY valid and only had to pay a $10 Co-pay with full frame and prescription benefits! Also being told I could take a weeks worth of SAMPLE contact lenses home with me for free, which I still declined. Just further proof that Dr. Lasee and her establishment is a SCAM! Do not go. (Response to her comment below) I did the exact same thing this year that I did last year. I bought frames from another state, using my frame benefits there, and was still able to use my lense benefits in this state. So what you are saying is false. It also covered the entire checkup, excluding the $10 copay. Also the fact your trying to say 2 glasses is also incorrect because I only brought one frame to you. Not a second pair. The only contacts I left with were the ones you asked me to try on in your office and I never agreed to buying any or starting a prescription with the contact lenses. Which I tried discussing with you in your office. So overall you are incorrect and luckily I found an office that doesn't incorrectly charge people. read more

Dr Lassee is awesome. I went to her for the first time this week for an eye exam and to check out getting a pair of computer specific glasses like my wife raves about. I am very happy to share that Dr. Lassee reported my vision had not changed since my last prescription, from a different optometrist. So, there is no need to get new everyday progressive trifocal glasses! Very high ethics. I am getting the bi focal computer glasses that that reduces eye strain from working at a computer most of the day. They have special coatings that cut blue light glare and are fixed on my mid and near range focus. Even people with perfect vision would benefit from these lenses.
