Walked in today to purchase 2 pairs of glasses and not one person greeted me. I approached the reception area that was NOT busy. Only to feel as if I was interrupting a personal conversation with the two workers who were having a conversation. My script in hand I explained my purpose of stopping in. As I roamed the store no one offered to help me including the sales person. Found 3 pairs and asked for an estimate and was told well it depends on your prescription and any additional add ons. I was baffled of course I would know that. Long story short I was asked for my insurance and they would be right with me. Only to have two walk in people pick up their glasses to be helped while I waited so I decided to walk out. I work in service and am baffled with the level of lack of professional. My experience started off okay but quickly went downhill. The front desk staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. The girl with glasses had a manly voice and was weird the whole time, The real issue came when I waited two weeks for my glasses, only to be told my $200 frames (which I purchased separately because I didn't like their selection) were lost in transit while in their care. Went to this location of Nationwide Vision because it was close to other business I had close by. I scheduled an eye exam with Dr Miller because I felt I needed a new prescription for my glasses. From the moment I walked in, I was promptly greeted and given the standard paperwork (I believe Heily(Haley?) was the affable young lady who helped me with the paperwork process and administering the preliminary eye exam. She was very pleasant and efficient). Within a few minutes, I was in to see Dr Miller. Dr Miller is very knowledgeable and charismatic and helped upgrade my prescription in a flash. Not sure how this location is still in business WORST service ever from the young man and girl in the front checking you in to the so called manager ( with glasses/ tattoos). I went yesterday 2/11 to purchase my contacts the manager didn't know how to run my insurance and gave me a copy of eye glass prescription instead of contacts prescription so I can go somewhere else. I ended purchasing my contacts yesterday with another company who won my future business. I wasn't aware that this so called manager gave me the incorrect prescription so I had to go back a 2nd time yesterday to get my contact prescription. Also last week on 2/4 when I went for my eye exam the young man in the front was helping a Spanish speaking family and wanted the teenage son to read the English forms to his mom because he was to lazy to look for the Spanish forms. My husband told the worker who do you think you are you can't be talking to people like that because he was rude about it. I work in the medical field and you should have the spanish forms handy and should not ask minors to translate. Not until my husband spoke up then he found the Spanish forms. This was the worst experience of any eye Dr. I've ever been to. Roberto the Assiant general manger was beyond rude. He has zero customer service skills and absolutely zero problem solving skills. I walked in as a new customer and was kindly greeted by the receptionist. After filling out my paperwork it was time to pick out glasses and contacts. Roberto didn't suggest, but told me I only needed one. After he imputed my prescription into the computer he told me he couldn't read my previous Dr.s hand writing and told me he couldn't offer me my contacts . Fair, so I assume the next thing to do would be to call my previous DR. And clear up the confusion. Nope he sat there and stayed quite. I finally just said I'll call . So I did and got the proper contact type and wrote it down. After he tried to input it into the system he told me he couldn't find it and he wasn't going to risk it to lose his license.... fine let's problem solve; call my previous Dr and have them send over the prober documents. Wrong again he threw his card at me and said you call I'm not going to call. I was blown away. I walked in today to pick up some glasses I had ordered. The second I walked in the door, a woman sitting at a desk (Joyce, the manager, I found out later) immediately said "Sit down and I'll get to you.", and pointed to some chairs. No smile, just a pointed finger. I felt like just a piece of meat. No other customers were there. She had a big pile of paperwork in front of her, so I said I was only there to pick up some glasses. She said, "I don't care, just sit down and I'll get to you", and just pointed to the chairs again. She never even looked at me. I turned around and walked out. I later called and asked the receptionist (who was very nice) what the woman's name was and when she wouldn't be there, and was told Friday. I'll pick up my glasses on Friday (and will never return). You said the same thing to many other negative reviews of the same people at the same location (see older reviews), but apparently you have no intention of doing anything to improve the terrible service that your customers receive at this location. I had an appointment at 12:00pm and then arrived 10-15 minutes early to fill out routine paperwork me doing it as I just turned 18. As soon as my mother and I walked in we were greeted by the complete worst staff who were extremely rude and acted as if we had no right to be in the store. I could also here staff being rude to people paying for glasses and telling them "so you don't want glasses" "you can just hold them until you have a credit card to pay for them because we can set up anything for you. " I fill out paper work and forgot one signature and she called my name out mind you the incorrect name which seems to be a theme. And when she finally said "you" pointed at me and said "you didn't fill this out correctly" and made me redo all my paper work when everything was perfect the first time. So that's within the first 10 minutes, then my name was called again by my incorrect name as if I didn't correct them 30 times and they didn't just scan my ID and my insurance card both with my age and name, they just refused to say my name out loud , my name is Isis, they were calling me names Like issa, Sandoval, iris, isara, which to me is a complete sign of disregard for my actual name how I would react like to be treated in a professional environment. So I went to the back to the first exam for my eye update so she can make more notes for the doctor, she too called me by my incorrect name multiple times even after correcting her, she was also pregnant throwing up in the bathroom before she called me and then when I got into the small room she told me I could use the bathroom to take out my contacts. The bathroom smelled like throw up and there was throw up on the toilet and the trash can. I quickly walked out and we continued the exam she told me at the end to sit in the waiting area and I did, the doctor called me in by my correct name greeted me briefly did the quickest exam I've ever experience in my 8 years of wearing glasses. The exam ended he told me everything was good and if I had any questions extremely bland. I told him yes if anything changed he told me no and he said wait in the waiting area and he would write my prescription I walk myself out because he didn't want to get out of his damn chair and as soon as I stepped foot out of his office he got out of his chair and then slammed the door right behind me. When I start looking at glasses the short older lady informs my mother the amount insurance covers after I asked her myself and When I told her my mother is not the patient I and was and that I specifically signed a form that legally saying they could not review any form of information regarding my eye care with anyone other than me. And when I told her how disrespectful she was to me because she turned her back to me and acted if I was not even there she was telling all the information to my mother regarding payment of glasses and when I told her to speak to me I'm paying for it she was completely astonished and I told her I wanted my prescription and She said over and over "so you aren't buying glasses so you aren't buying glasses" I told her "no" so I told her to "give me my prescription" and then as I had to sign a release form for my own prescription which I've never had to do in my life as I signed this form I commented about the way she had treated me and that she was extremely disrespectful she again said the wrong name while reading my paperwork with my name and age across the top And said "sorry you just look really young" before handing me my paper work she walked away middle of the conversation to help an other check out person with another customer because I clearly wasn't important she made me stop and wait at the table for about 10 minutes shoved the paper in my paper work in my hand and I walked out. Recently I went to this location for my eye exam. The appointment was fast, efficient and effective! I was greeted by the front desk and ask to complete couple forms. After that I was called to do my preliminary checks, Hailey assisted me on that, She's technically proficient with all the equipments, clear with her instructions, but the most important thing in my opinion is her positive attitude. Dr Miller did my final check and that was very straight to the point, nice and easy. It turned out I still have perfect vision according to the test. Terrible service. Exam- Because I brought a water in, they made me do my paperwork outside because they don't allow drinks or food inside. I fill out my paperwork and come in, hand it to the desk person and sit to wait. Next to a kid eating a giant muffin and making a mess. But whatever. Then I sat. For an hour. No one came over, I figured they were busy. When I finally checked in they said "they didn't realize I was there". Uh. Okay. Contacts Pickup- I came to pick my contacts up after they'd been there for about three weeks. I was too busy to pick them up and called them once a week or so to tell them I still want them and to please keep them. They said "of course" and I assumed we were all good. I called yesterday to confirm they were still there and the desk person said yes. So I go in there today to pick them up. They're not there. Shocking. I wait while they search (lazily). I called to see if my glasses were in after 3 weeks. I left a message. No response. Same the following day. The 3 rd day that I called and asked if my glasses were back from the lab. They said it would be 7-10 days. I was nearby the office 2 days later. I went in just to check. The glasses were sitting there. Ugh frustrating. I would give the Dr and John the asst mgr 4 stars. I have gone to the Camelback location for years and Dr. Lucca is wonderful! He takes time with me and answers any questions about my eyes and exam in terms I can understand. Additionally, he found cataracts in both eyes over a year ago; sent me to a surgeon to have them removed then fitted me with new glasses. He advised me that eyes might change over time. I have noticed a change recently and met with Dr. Lucca yesterday...needed a new prescription and received the same great care as always.
