The price is for individual meals are a little bit higher than subscription models however you do save in the long term if you do not buy all the time. You have to be cognizant of the delivery schedule because they deliver on Sundays, which means you have to order before then or whatever's left you can order for the next day delivery for extra charge. They do charge $10 for a regular delivery which I think is completely within reason. The food is very fresh not frozen but comes to you chilled. Portion sizes are good as well. They deliver to a pretty big radius and the delivery guy always texts you when your order will be there and its always right on time. I've used the service from Healthy Fresh Meals a few times now. The website is very easy to navigate and presents the various options in a format that is easy to digest. Typically I order from the "Clean Menu". As someone who always looks at labels when considering food options, I really appreciate how they highlight the macronutrients (fats, carbs and protein) and show the full label with all included ingredients. The menu constantly changes each week which is nice and provides great variety. On the off chance that I'm not interested in anything on the Clean Menu for the week, I've found that I can order something from the custom menu and fulfill my food needs that way. The delivery service consistently arrives within the timeframe that they promise. While consistent, I would prefer if there was an option to come in and pick up my order instead of the required delivery method including the delivery charge. SO Happy I found this place! Just finished my first month and have to say I did not get one dish my mom or I didn't like. She can often be a very picky eater so it is always hard to find food she can eat. I also purchase meals for the aids that help take care of her, and everyone is very happy with the variety and quality. I try to stick to my regimen of eating clean, whole foods as much as possible when I am not on vacation, given this is an extended work trip I figured I would give a meal prep service a go. I was looking at a few different companies but the yelp reviews and prices at HFM led me to go with them. The first week I ordered steak fajitas, chicken piccatta, thai curry, stuffed bell peppers, turkey marinara spaghetti, and a turkey burger w/ roasted sweet potatoes. Everything was so tasty! All of these meals were under 500 calories and kept me fueled, satisfied, and feeling like I got a good deal. Most of their meals are around $10-11, and when you are on travel and your only other option is to eat out, that is a deal! I bought some yogurt and fruits and snacks from the grocery store, but besides that, I did not need to eat out, I could track what I was eating as they list all the ingredients for the meals on their website, and they delivered it all right to my hotel lobby for a flat fee of $10. The instructions for everything was super clear, i.e. what the delivery window was (they deliver on Sundays only), how long to heat it up, and what the nutritional facts were for each meal. I'm very satisfied with my first experience using Healthy Fresh Meals. I am starting to get pretty serious about working out and have made a decision to adjust my diet accordingly. Unfortunately I do not have a ton of time to cook based on my work/gym schedule. I hired a personal trainer who gave me a a very specific custom meal plan. This plan laid out the different proteins, carbs, and veggies along with measurements I need to eat each day. Healthy Fresh Meals was able to accommodate this request through the custom meal option. I ordered 10 steak meals and 10 chicken meals. The sides varied between brown rice, green beans, sweet potatoes, and zucchini. I ordered on a Wednesday and immediately received a confirmation emailed advised my ordered was being processed. I believe that no matter when you order the company always delivers on Sunday which is perfect so I can start each week with fresh meals. On Sunday morning I received an email stating my meals would be delivered between 8:30am - 1:00pm. Also advised that if I wasn't going to be home to leave a cooler outside with ice packs but I made sure I was home. I received a courtesy text when the driver was 20 minutes away notifying me that they were around the corner. Great communication, I appreciated that. Food was neatly organized and packaged. Everything was heat sealed and in addition wrapped securely in Saran Wrap. The even taped a little handle to each bundle of meals for easy carry. As far as the quality of the food goes, I ate one meal immediate and it was great. Steak, Brown rice, and green beans. Steak had a nice char on it like it had come off the grill recently, everything just seemed very fresh. Great flavor. Great service. I was very skeptical of this type service but they executed this quite well. I've ordered now for 13 or 14 weeks in a row. If the only think you are putting in your body is meal prep from Monday 1 Friday it is expensive but it's a great experience.
