I had shellac on my nails that had started to chip and peel. I made the mistake of trying to remove it myself and it resulted in me really hurting and tearing my own nails and I couldn't get it all off. I was in a lot of pain and it just looked awful! I went into Healthy Nails as a walk-in and they were able to see me. The woman who helped me was so kind and gentle. She kept checking on me and she took her time knowing I was in pain. I'd been trying to get into my regular salon for 2 weeks and was getting desperate. So I figured I would try them out due to the location being so close to my home. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that they job was beyond great! They did a strip and re-do of my acrylics and for the 1st time in the 30+ years I've been getting nails, had all of them straight. For some reason, they always make my index fingers crooked. I really enjoy going to Healthy Nails to have my pedicures and waxing done by Vee... she is always so kind and the treatment I receive from her is always thorough, not lacking in anything. The high quality massage chairs are very relaxing. The wax room is private, not cluttered and Vee doesn't make me feel embarrassed about some of the places I need to be waxed. She's an awesome waxer and doesn't cause pain. The salon is always clean which is extremely important to me... I've never had an infection of any sort. I will never go elsewhere as long as I live in the area. It's hard to believe the bad reviews on here. If I could give Healthy Nails a 10 star rating I would. I believe some women want to complain about the smallest things smearing their name. All the employees at Healthy Nails are always kind and pleasant or I wouldn't be going back and spending my money there. Great customer service! This was my first time in and it was kinda terrible. I got a gel pedicure. If you're looking for what most places call an express pedicure, this will be a good fit. However, most express pedicures are like $25. This was $45 and she was done in 22 minutes. The only step outside of painting my toes was the pumice stone (about 3 seconds on each foot) and a salt scrub that was applied then rubbed off. I don't even think it exfoliated anything. She applied some oil, too. But it wasn't rubbed off. In fact, it was dripping down my leg while I was driving home. And my feet are still super rough. I was the only person in there, so she wasn't rushed due to other clients. As far as the nails, the paint job looks fine if you're not close. Up close, it's a mess. My feet should NOT look like this after paying $45 + tip! )These pics were taken less than 10 minutes after leaving the salon.) read more

Came in for a fill, was happy they were able to seat me right away but it was downhill from there. The color selection for shellac was dismal and the 1st 2 colors I picked ended up being bad. Finally settled for one, she only did 2 coats and rushed me out because a regular had come in and was waiting on her. No 3rd coat or hand massage. I read the reviews and most are from like 2018 and 2019. I am diabetic and an adult male. a nurse friend told me that I should try a pedicure because you would get a calf message as well as your feet because it really helps with circulation. I seen this place many times when shopping by walmart in St. Helens and decided to go in. I was able to be seen right away. I had many questions and the lady I talked too, I forgot her name, explained the 4 different pedicures they have. I did explain my leg pain from diabetes and she explained what each one included. I choose to do the #4. It was delightful. I have never had this experience before. They soaked my feet in this gel,they worked on my nails, applied hot stones.. holy cow! they also wrapped my feet in this wax wrap and it was just an amazing experience. It was about an hour long process and I did not feel rushed. For my leg issues I will be back and hope to do this again. read more

This was the WORST experience in my life! I went to get a full set with gel and the lady was trying to charge me $50! Plus $5 to take off 4 nails and $3 for a nail file kit! I was not about to spend almost $60 for a full set that would normally cost me about $35-$40! She was very rude. She didn't even remove ALL the old acrylic! Not to mention the gel polish she put on is lumpy and looks horrible due to the nails still having acrylic on them! I will NEVER go back nor will I ever recommend them! I decided to give this place a try despite all of the negative reviews and I'm sure glad I did. I called earlier in the day to schedule an appointment for a regular mani/pedi. I arrived about 10 minutes early and they were able to start on me right away. The water temperature was perfect, the massage chairs are amazing, they didn't try to "up sell" deluxe, flower design, shellac, etc. She took her time, gave a great foot/leg massage and my polish looks nice. My manicure was equally great. Oh and the 3 people working were super friendly. I'm quite surprised by the negative reviews, I plan on making this my go to nail salon from now on! read more

I just left this place after getting my nails done. Not only did the gal start cutting my nails the moment I sat down and without asking me (I prefer them long), the gel turned out chunky, you can see through the paint, and I have gel and polish on my fingers. I am LESS THAN IMPRESSED with service I received. She offered to fix one of the nails so I gave her a chance to fix it. I was still not happy with how it looked so she offered to fix it again... NO THANK YOU THE NAIL IS SHORT ENOUGH! I let the gal know I wasn't happy with the service. $28 ($8 of that was for a dollar store nail kit) later and I get to go pay to have them redone. This place is just plain terrible. Two customers were in the place when I walked in, and each one of the people working had their phones playing different music, on top of the overhead music. The lady who did my pedicure was haphazardly using the clippers, which made me tense and nervous, so I looked away. A minute later, she clipped right into the tender skin on the inside of my toe! It bled for a long time, so it was cut deep. Accidents happen, but she was just plain careless. I won't be back. read more

Came in 45 minutes before closing for a shellac manicure and was treated awfully. The lady was completely rude from the start and acted so annoyed that I was there. She asked if I could come back "tomorrow". Don't advertise your closing time as 7 and turn customers away when there are 4 technicians standing around. And, if you're going to do that, be nice about it. If that's how they treat their clients, I'm glad I didn't get my nails done because who knows how they would have turned out. I'll keep driving an hour to Portland to go to OQ Nail Salon. Avoid these rude people and give your business to a place that wants it and treats you right. Made appointments for two pedis, and when we showed up, they literally kicked out two gals out of pedi chairs so that we could sit down. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that happened to us but I was. 30 minutes for a pedi before we were shuffled out the door AND it cost me $62. Sorry no tip for that adventure (which I have never ever done before). Not a calm or relaxed atmosphere. When my daughter even pointed out the technician missing some places on her legs, and questioned the rush, we were glared at, and they just hurried more. DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE!! I totally regret having my nails done at this salon. Yesterday I went into Healthy Nails to have a shellac manicure done, because it's my neighborhood salon. I'm new to the area, need to find a local salon and at first glance this place seemed great. The artist that did my shellac manicure obviously does not value professionalism or quality nails. I didn't get her name, but if you do visit the salon do not get your nails done by the woman with the short bob haircut. After she told me I was finished I look at my nails and they had circular indents where the shellac was not painted evenly, air bubbles in the paint and on the sides of my nails it looked like a complete amateur had just tried doing nails for the first time. Not only did she do an awful job after I asked her to please fix them she attempted to fix 2 of them then acted insulted as I continued to point out the other 3 nails that looked like shit.
