Nice spot in the Inner Richmond for craft beer and spirits. There's non-alcoholic wine and beer as well. They have a good selection of local craft beer and have some interesting sours. I was impressed that they had Cantillion bottles having visited their brewery in Brussels. I can't remember seeing Cantillon in the US before. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

My go to spot on clement. Trying out new craft beers and spirits since the bars closed .. Decent prices and huge selection. Service is cool. They sure know their stuff.

Tequila, if you know. You know.

Only place you can find great quality tequila (no additives) that will not rip you off by marking up the product.

New favorite bottle shop. I am a beer writer and was sent on an assignment by my Editor to find the best craft spots in SF and I did just that with this gem. Of course this place has your typical Bay Area brews such as Marin Brewing Company, Moylans, and Drake's, but they are also equipped with hard to find beers from around the world. I was like a kid in a candy store here. I wish I had a $1,000 to blow on just beer. Not to mention, I spoke with the owner and beer buyer who were both super friendly and informative. Though this place is out of the way from Oakland, it is worth the trek. I highly recommend you stop in for some unique brews and take them to nearby Golden Gate Park for an exceptionally lovely afternoon. They even have some food choices like cheeses, olives, seasonings, etc. My friend and I bought some of the hummus and whole wheat pita to accompany our beer for our picnic. No question, this place is deserving of a "Woohoo" rating.

From afar, it looks like just an average liquor store, but don't be fooled. This store is a hidden gem! They have an AMAZING selection of unique local and imported beers, wine, whiskey, etc. But wait, there's more. They also have cheese, hummus, and a wide assortment of organic ice cream from local creameries. This place is definitely not cheap, but I don't mind paying extra once in while for high quality stuff!

They are a great retailer, very knowledgeable of wines old world and new. They have a fantastic selection. My issue is with their auction business, which I think they have very little they can do about it as they are taking the word of the sellers that the bottles have been properly cellared. Multiple Aubert Chardonnays (2014-2017) bottlings, top end, have been clearly past their prime despite being in the start of the prime drinking window, and one bottle that was very tired. So it seems to be less of the "rare bad bottle" problem and more of a systemic issue with some of their sellers. I'll change this review if other such start-of-the-prime-drinking-window bottles through K&L prove to show they are drinking well and increase the ratio of good to bad items. I have a lot more of these bottles to test. Edit: may 2026 - a few more Aubert Chardonnay's going back to a 2018 Eastside were opened and we're all spectacular, crisp and peaked. Our stats are much better now on the aging of chards through the auction. Changing to 5 stars.

He then went back to his desk in the back to hide out. My most recent visit, I came in to pick up a case of wine that I've ordered the sales person who previously would go out and pick up the wine and help me put it in the car said someone will deliver it soon and it was a 15 minute wait... I think I will try Menlo Park wines next time...

We've been to Ingredients a couple of times now, and after tonight I really felt like I needed to write a review. I've lived in San Francisco for more than 30 years and have eaten all over the city. Ingredients is genuinely one of the best dining experiences I've had in years. The food is phenomenal, but a huge part of what makes this place so special is Jackie and the level of hospitality he brings to the experience. Tonight we basically told him what we were in the mood for and let him guide us. He recommended an incredible off-menu wine and helped us put together exactly the meal we wanted. We wanted something fresh and green to start, but none of the salads on the menu were quite what we had in mind. Rather than just asking us to choose something else, they offered to create something for us. What came out was an incredibly bright, fresh salad with pomegranate, figs and assorted greens. It was fantastic. Then came the momos, which were incredible, followed by the steak special with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was beautifully prepared and genuinely delicious. What really sets Ingredients apart, though, is the hospitality. Jackie didn't just take an order. He listened to what we wanted, made thoughtful recommendations, worked with the kitchen and guided the whole experience. Nothing felt forced or performative. It was simply someone who is exceptionally good at hospitality taking care of his guests. Ingredients delivers the kind of quality and experience that makes you feel you're getting more than you paid for. The ingredients, cooking, wine and personal attention are all exceptional. After more than 30 years of eating in San Francisco, I don't say this lightly: Ingredients has given us some of the best food and one of the best overall dining experiences I've had in this city in a very long time. We'll absolutely be back. That's the version I'd put on Yelp. It reads like an enthusiastic regular customer rather than a restaurant critic, which is exactly what you want there.

I had actually seen this place on Instagram long before I ever came to San Francisco, mostly because of their pre‑bagged drinks. It looked like such a uniquely city thing -- quick grab & go mixes already put together so you don't have to think about it. When I finally made it to the West Coast, stopping here felt like checking off a small bucket‑list spot. You notice it before you even walk in, bright signs in the window, stacked drinks, and that steady flow of locals popping in and out like part of their daily routine. Inside, it's tight aisles packed floor to ceiling with beer, liquor, snacks, sodas, energy drinks, and a random mix of everyday essentials you didn't realize you needed until you saw them. The pre‑bagged drinks were just as cool in person, and what really made it memorable was that they hand you a cup of ice when you buy one. Simple, but somehow makes the whole experience feel intentional and welcoming instead of just transactional. The staff was friendly and quick, clearly used to keeping the line moving while still acknowledging everyone who walks in. It's not a place you browse slowly. You step in, grab what you need, exchange a quick hello, and head back out to Mission Street. However, we treated it like a tourist attraction, laughing at the drink names, and hovering around while we each picked a drink. Not a destination shop in the traditional sense, but for me it was. Really cool to travel across the country and finally stop into a place I'd only seen online and it lived up to the vibe.

I like curmudgeonly types as much as the next guy--I'm crusty and rough around the edges sometimes myself--but the first time, it was like he was itching for something to start an argument with me about. I haven't had that experience recently, but it did happen more than once. They do a pretty good business, but it's never crowded in an annoying way like Mission District or TL corner stores can be and often are. The prices seem high for the neighborhood, but I've mainly bought soda here, and it seems like every corner store is ripping people off on the price of soda at the moment. It's right on the edge between three stars and four, but I'm feeling generous today.
