Young man was very insensitive to our situation. AND RUDE. Two weeks in a row we had 2:15 appointments. At 3:30 we hadn't seen the doctor yet! After the check in the young man was given my wife's file. He presided down the hall and was doing something on a computer. While cit catting with co workers. After that he went in to one of the rooms to talk to another co worker. 25 minutes after her initial appointment he proceeded to call her. I explained that my wife had a 4:00pm appointment else where, and could we be seen in the next hour and a half. His answer was = We don't work by time, we go by patients. And there are 8 in front of you. if each patient took 15 minutes which they take much more than that. That's 2 hours ! That is not expectable. Many of the other patients were complaining also, how many left? They thing they have the only show in town. Many of business that have thought that way are not in business anymore ! Who ever runs that office better wake up and watch what's going on.

Doctors are great, assistants are nice and some other personnel are ok. As for NOSS, the company…read morethemselves, they are unorganized, lack communication and back out of agreements easily. They are money driven, not people's care driven. Billing doesn't communicate with the offices, so you will be harassed every time you go and sent to billing to argue the agreement or what your insurance said. They tell you if you don't pay, even at the times I wasn't supposed to pay anything, they will not see me. I had to call my attorney just about everytime I was there. They also collect co-pays for follow-ups of surgeries and procedures when they know they shouldn't and for certain testing. I have to stay on top of my charges and current visits. I tell them the insurance says no co-pay when stitches are to be taken out and go to billing to tell them and then they confirm with the office so I will be seen. They should know this! I am late for all of my visits because of this continual problem. They have a lot of different offices in the same building. I see different doctors for different things. Billing and it's manager always promises to fix the harassment issue, but it has been going on for 8 months! Then I pay my current co-pays and they apply them to monies held on an LOP and then tell me that I owe the current date. As for LOP's, they back out of them when you go for a visit and that's how you find out. They change their policy and they don't notify you in writing prior. Also, some of the testing I had done was because my attorney said it should be done, not because somebody thought it should be done. One of the tests, was supposed to be scheduled and then a month goes by and I still didn't get a call. I tell them I didn't get a call to schedule and they say, we sent an email to them. I ask, don't you follow up? So somehow it fell through the cracks. So the testing got put off for months which ended up making it clear I needed surgery which made the surgery be put off. I've had to play accountant, insurance claims and scheduler since dealing with this company. If it wasn't for the doctors, I would never go here. This is the worst experience I've ever had with any medical company. Thank God I have attorneys that know about medical, or I would never have found out some real medical issues from an accident. If NOSS could be replaced, then it would be a good place to go for medical treatment.

Dr. Pan connected with me in a different way (she was also the only female surgeon I consulted with). She listened and really understood what I was saying. I felt like when I talked about my preferences as far as end results and goals, she truly cared about what I was trying to achieve with my procedures. Dr. Pan considered my concerns, listened to me through the whole very comprehensive consult, and thoroughly explained all of the possible risks, while also making sure I was realistic about my expectations. She was always available by phone when I needed her and her staff is beyond fantastic! They are so welcoming, helpful and make your questions or concerns a priority. When I had a minor complication, her staff was super attentive and saw me right away. I could not possibly be more thrilled with my results. He knows his profession, using computerized tracking of the hearing aids, he teaches me how to fix small things that I've messed up on the devices, is warm, friendly, and patient (I'm never rushed out of the office), and there's good availability of appts. I used to have a short drive to Precision Hearing, and now it's about double the time to get there, but I still go! The office is right off exit 53 of the Merritt Parkway. We share about our lives at the end of the visit, so I look forward to being with him. The office is nice and the staff reflects that 'personal touch', that competent friendliness that is David. I set up a 3 way conversation with Medicare & Pam & Medicare told her they will pay because I'm a diabetic. Pam insisted that Medicare won't pay for the eye refraction. I left & went to another Eye Doctor & I was told that Medicare does pay for Diabetics. I am so happy I made the change.

Ho hum visits, just the way I like them. Change glasses and contact lens prescriptions periodically, in and out of office with nothing much to think or worry about. Several weeks back she told me I needed to have a cataract taken out and steered me to Dr. Spector. Well eyes being my second favorite body part, I was petrified to consider an eye surgery. Simply put Dr. Spector is amazing ( that coming from a perpetual cynic). Not only was he patient explaining my need for treatment , he gave me several alternatives. Laser surgery being the one I opted for. Surgery was not only painless, he was thorough, professional and just plain great. My follow up the next day solidified in my mind that he really cares about his patients and their well being. Throughout my appointment, we had a really good conversation going, about all sorts of topics. Ask him anything about your eyes, and he can really give you the scientific and medical explanations you're looking for. Contact lenses can be received only a few days after you order them, which is a major plus. Now to my complaint -- I severely feel that I was overcharged for my contact lens appointment + 1-year lens supply. Twice I have gone to Dr. Spector, and twice I was shocked by the costs. I have previously gone to eye doctors before under the same insurance policy, ordering the same brand of lenses, and never has it been this high ($230)! When I got home and expressed my disbelief at the cost, I had realized that I paid and wasn't even given a receipt. My boyfriend suggested that I do get an itemized receipt to make sure that the doctor wasn't just pulling numbers of out thin air, so I did exactly that when I went to pick up my contact lenses. Then, Dr. Spector went to seemingly great lengths to fabricate a receipt for me. He did quite a few calculations simply to write down 2 numbers on this little piece of paper to describe the breakdown between the cost of the appointment vs. the lenses. Then he said, "Oh wait, you have insurance, so that's not quite right..." and re-did his calculations, but of course, magically the 2 new numbers he wrote down still added to $230. Mind you, he took no time at all figuring out the cost of $230 when he was charging me, so I have grave suspicions that there's shenanigans in the pricing.
