The service was fast, professional, and polite. If you're local, I recommend this location to you for all your hearing needs. If you're from out of town, like me, you still might benefit from a visit.

Visited the SSHC Weymouth office on 7/22/26. There were many aspects of my visit that I…read moreappreciated. The office is tidy, organized, and I had no wait for my scheduled appointment. The audiologist, Casey Masi, was fantastic. She was both warm and knowledgeable. I had both an earwax removal and audiogram scheduled. I'd been informed when making the appointment that if the office "attempted" to remove the earwax and if there were none, that I'd still be charged the earwax removal fee ($65). When the audiologist sat me down to chat about what brought me into the office before the earwax removal, she quickly peered into my ears with the otoscope. She then told me that I had very little earwax, so she didn't think earwax removal was necessary. I decided to forgo the earwax removal at her suggestion, and we moved on to the audiogram. At the appointment, I was charged $65 for my "Office Visit," which is the description on my itemized receipt. I assumed it was in connection with my copay for the audiogram, as the earwax removal was deemed unnecessary. On 9/3/26, I receive an email with an invoice for $45 from South Shore Hearing Center, apparently related to the audiogram. I called the office on 9/4/26 to inquire about the multiple charges. Carolyn Greene, the receptionist, explained to me that even if the audiologist merely looked in my ears with an otoscope, that still qualified as an "attempt" to remove the earwax, so that was the initial charge for $65. This is an issue of principle: the charges for services that were not fully rendered are a bit deceptive. Please be wary of scheduling earwax removal with South Shore Hearing Center or any other services, as they have proven they are inclined to stretch the reasonable definition of "attempt" in order to nickel and dime their patients, some of whom may not have the means to pay $65.
