I had gone to see my family doctor and when I asked him if it could be my thyroid, he felt it and said absolutely not. I felt that he was wrong so I went to see Dr. Simon. As soon as he felt my throat, he confirmed that it was my thyroid and it was very enlarged. I have a huge problem with anxiety and he instantly saw that. Through the past year, I had to do check ups with him as he sent me to get thyroid ultrasounds and a CT Scan. I have never felt more comfortable with a doctor. She finally went to get an audiogram and, yep, a hearing aid was necessary. She had her choice of facilities because almost no insurance covers hearing aids. This Center (which has a sister facility in Covington) came highly recommended by a family friend who is an MD. I went with my Mom to ask questions and help her decide what was best for her. The audiologist was great. She explained everything in a clear and understandable way. She was personable and put my Mom at ease. She showed how to maintain her hearing aid and some ways to extend battery life.
