An employee walked in - girl at front desk "I'm here aren't I" My husband and I looked at each other - like what kind of place is this that the employee would be so openly miserable. Then people were walking in and out saying how they didn't want to open his car door because he was asleep. Come to find out, that's the pathologist who would be looking at sample. Regardless of why he was asleep in his car at 7am is none of my business and honestly, I don't want to hear that an employee came from LA and he is sleeping in his car. They have a new policy that you must have a card on file and you must pay your deductible at time of service. No one mentioned that to me - glad I had my credit card on me. I mentioned to the front desk that I believe my insurance prefix will change as we picked a new plan during open enrollment. She said, I will speak to my manger and call you once we know what to do. Okay fine. I call my insurance for something completely unrelated and mention todays visit. BCBS rep said "just have them call us and we will tell them what you are covered for on the new plan" Okay sounds simple enough Well, I call thinking I'm helping out and the business manager, Dahlia, huffs and puffs and tells me this is a HUGE issue and that I should have told them before I came in. I said "they said all you have to do is call them and they will give you the info" She said rudely "you just had very big surgery ( I was there 20 minutes as they scraped a needle head worth of what looked like a freckle on my face) and this will mess up billing". I said "okay, if you guys don't want to call, I guess we will deal with the mess when you want to get paid" she said "yep, guess so" JUST RUDE. I called back to get her name and told her I thought she was a bit rough - her response "I'm the office manager" I said "okay just needed your name for my message to the business. She replies "okay sounds good" Not a care in the world. Now I know why the guy came in all grumpy / if that's the culture and temperature in that office Again, surgeon, nurse and gal who helped me on the way out were great.

I've seen him 2 times... the last was not a good experience. I came for my yearly exam which is suppose to be a full body check. I was seated on the exam table where he examined everything but the back of my legs and scalp. Never asked me to stand so he could see the back of my legs. The prior Dr had zapped a small red mark on my check a few years ago, but it came back. While he was looking at it I asked " why would it come back"? He answered rather sarcastically "you're asking me?" I responded with "well you are the doctor". At that time he explained to me several different reasons. Obviously I felt rushed....no time to answer questions or do a thorough exam.

They sold out to Pinnacle Dermatology. Pinnacle's billing is a nightmare. My insurer issued…read moreExplanations of Benefits reducing the charges to the contracted allowed rates for my 2 kids AND made payments to Pinnacle. Despite hours and hours of my time on the phone over 4 phone calls to fix the issue, Pinnacle says "it's under review" but still does not recognize the insurer payments or EOBs and will not even allow me to send them the EOBs (I have copies and offered 4 times to send them in case they can't find them). They continue to send me harassing invoices claiming I owe amounts I don't owe because they were reduced by my insurer and FULLY paid by my insurer. It's absolutely ridiculous.
