By the time I saw David Ravvin I was so far down the rabbit's hole I could barely see the light. He was my final attempt to overcome the debilitating effects of severe trauma and its "partner" - addiction. David is extremely knowledgeable in these areas and the most effective means of treating them, EMDR being one. He keeps himself informed of current developments and procedures and is not hesitant to suggest a change if one form of treatment does not seem to be effective. Most importantly I believe David has the ability to connect with those of us who suffer. He sees each person as an individual with unique needs and as such adjusts treatment and style of therapy accordingly. I have found him to be extremely supportive, compassionate, encouraging, non-judgemental and completely committed to your healing and wellbeing. I am indebted to him for all he has done for me. How unexpectedly wonderful it is to be able to look to the future with excitement and anticipation instead of sadness and fear. This he has given me. A. E. W. August 17, 2017

When I wrote in to him, I clearly explained that we wanted to see him in person, instead he booked us for zoom consultation. It took me more than a year to convince him to see someone for help, just when he agreed, this therapist had to screw it up. I have to start all over again. Perhaps it is a sign that he's not a peoples person. One star for ruining all my effort.

Not only were the sessions unhelpful, the counsellor was condescending. At one point when I briefly mentioned a past event, she leaned forward, shook her head, and said "and you bringing up the past, how does that help?" I was shocked by her response, and I said, "excuse me?", and she repeated the exact same words. We have since found a much better couples counsellor at another clinic. I would not recommend Jericho counselling.

I was at a point…read morein my life where I felt I had reached rock bottom after dealing with narcissistic male partners, abusive relationships, childhood sexual abuse and then finally being t-boned in a motor vehicle accident (none of which were my fault). I was left feeling anxiety, having panic attacks and with depression. I was at a point where I was unable to get out of bed or leave my bedroom because of the depth of emotional and psychological pain I felt within myself. I felt broken and run down and without any hope. During the 90 minute sessions, Micheal helped treat me using the EMDR technique to overcome many self limiting beliefs. He made me feel safe. He was the first person (and male) I could really talk to about everything and anything, knowing that opening up to him would lead to profound insights and healing. There have been so many 'aha' moments during our therapy sessions! Micheal taught me self respect, self confidence, and an entirely new way of looking at myself and at my life. So today, after only a few sessions of EMDR, I feel like a brand new person. I feel like I was given a new life and a second chance. I have never felt more at peace within myself and I have a new found love for myself and for who I am as a person. Not only that, I gained an incredible amount of self confidence and have gained tools in my toolbox that help me navigate through life and relationships in an entirely new, healthy and whole way. Working with Micheal has been like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and then moving towards that light. Coming to the end of the therapy sessions, I realize that that light was within me all along. I just had to learn to let it shine. Fearlessly and unapologetically. I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work on being the best and healthiest version of myself through Mindful You Therapy. I feel like the Universe answered my deepest wish--to be happy, healthy and whole. YS

After four visits, I broke through. I was shocked and amazed at how effective and quick the process is, and how the process continued to work for several months following that breakthrough. Trusting myself allowed me to remove negative influences in my life, and allow myself to trust others...something I never did easily before visiting Michael. I returned to Michael eight months later to work through the source of my smoking and weight issues. Three visits later, he guided me through another breakthrough. The form of therapy, Michael's knowledge of the process, his kindness, and probing questions make what can be a traumatic experience equate to freeing your demons and allowing you to live the life you want to live. It's been one week since my last therapy session - I've lost 8 lbs, smoke less, and feel truly happy, from the inside out. I thank Michael for working so effectively with me and guiding me in releasing the past and living the life I want today. - KM (Vancouver, BC)
